Minnaar will always be the GOAT because of his race pedigree and the fact he's been at the top for 20 years, but Sam Hill back in the mid 2000's was by far the most exciting rider the sport has ever seen, two-wheel drifting that Iron Horse Sunday absolutely flat out, his style was completely unique and he set a new standard the rest had to try and follow. Depends how you want to define 'goat' status. Minnaar obviously by sheer number of wins and longevity at the top. But I think you have to include Sam in that conversation. Being dominate in multiple disciplines, numerous iconic race runs on the most technical tracks and truely influential in how races approached line choice. That's not something you can say about Minnaar. I don't mean to try and take away from what Minnaar has achieved just that 'goat' status can be somewhat subjective.
Until you watch something like this you forget just how good Sam is. Hills understanding of grip/traction is other worldly (apart from the few times he over cooked it haha). Absolutely sick documentary mate. Great job.
