Let me tell u my story. So back in Sep 2020, I started my new grade and everything was new to me. My first assignment in science is to watch this video. Now it’s mid Jun 2021 and I’m about to graduate, it’s science final exam and I came back to watch this to revise. The magic of time…😞
I need to know how a building up next to an old dry cleaner would (or would not) be affected years after the fact. The empty lot next to my building is being remediated because the dry cleaners that used to sit there had been reckless with their chemicals including spilling and storing them on the grounds. Is there any reason to think the high tvoc in my apartment could be residue from that?
It's possible, also apartments tend to use the cheapest carpet and paint they can find. Open windows when possible and get a good air purifier. My downstairs neighbors smoked, so it actually made my apartment foggy in the evening when I got home. I had to open windows everyday, but my clothes and everything still smelled. Sorry, it's difficult to control air quality in multi-family units.
Hey Cosmo John. It definitely could still have VOCs in it. A lot of common VOCs have no smell, like methane. Ask them for the Safety Data Sheet (formerly MSDS). And remember, it's not the presence of VOC's you should be worried about. It's the amounts. A walk through a forest exposes you to thousands of different VOCs.

Nippon has paint that it claims is odourless. Do these still contain VOC?
