I’m a huge “out of sight, out of mind” guy. I love acorns because it helped me automate and forget about the whole process of investing. I started in college and now am up 20% over the last 6 years after investing weekly since I started. I’m all for it.
I started Acorns during the COVID Pandemic and due to the coin circulation shortage. I’m glad I did because I’ve built a substantial portfolio. The Acorns Mighty Oak checking account is great too. I moved my paycheck in there and I was able to wavie my fee.
this has been great for me. i recently graduated college and started working full time. i don’t really trust myself to pick stocks yet so i invest $100/wk into the portfolio they recommended. so simple and easy to use and learn with. i have the $12 subscription & it’s great for beginners
Finally acorn’s video brother! Agree 100% on all this. I don’t like the fee myself but definitely see the flat rate monthly is cheaper. I personally just use Acorns as my full banking needs so the fee get waved. I don’t use debit cards but the debit card mighty oak features are pretty cool. I continue to just use credit card for points and use my acorns to stash my money and pay off my credit card making my apy while I wait to pay it. But yeah I definitely love Acorns and use to bank with Schwabs and constantly had to move money to different stocks or mutual funds it’s easier for me cause it does it for me and it has helped me make a lot of money and save money without me really knowing with the round ups. I wish more people did acorns investing videos instead of all these sofi videos lol.
Acorn has been great, i have always had problems saving money and with acorn i have saved as of today 19k. I have setup of 125 a week and 3x on roundups and up 10.3% on their investments.
That is IF they do. They kept charging me, even with direct deposit set up. They also didn't pay me any interest for my checking or savings account. I'm pulling everything out of there. I don't want a company holding my money that does this shit.
kinda late on viewing this video, but I have used acorns for the past 6-7 years. right now i have around 4800 in my investing portfolio and earn about $60-75 just in dividends, i think that alone is worth it for me.
You forgot to mention that Acorns fees can be waived with a monthly direct deposit of $250 or more. I love acorns due to round ups, my kids investment accounts and savings accounts. Also the fact that they give you money for referrals. I got $1100 from referrals which was awesome. Also as far as robo advisors go, sofi has a fee free one that's pretty good.

I think I’m grandfathered in, but I get my gold subscription waived because I have direct deposit setup to the checking account. Are they still giving that option?
The set it and forget it is nice. I also have it set up for auto invest on each payday into both the later and invest account. While it doesn't grow fast, it grows steady. They live up to their name quite well. You are merely a caretaker giving it water.
We would have to really understand the inner workings of the partners they have and hope they don’t fail like Synapse. But it’s a complicated thing, I imagine they partner with a dozen companies to make their service work one way or the other. (As would many other investing companies I’d think)
Btw Robinhood, has the basket feature on IRA to auto deposit and contribute ever X amount of days. You don’t even have to do anything on you part besides setting it up. And get 3% match.
I would assume that because you're still a citizen with a US bank account it would work but honestly have zero experience with that so I'd reach out to customer service if I were you!
I love the APY on acorns checking accounts. That right there is worth the monthly cost for me. I haven’t seen one higher yet. I used to love sofi, but they require direct deposit to get the best APY. Acorns doesn’t. I current get 2.72% on my checking - no requirements. 🥳 I’ll take it all day long. Savings APY also beats out what Sofi offers.
gonna start investing on 1 of january 2025 im educating and learning now I know super late!!, so my question to you a wierd one is, do you think apple will launch the investing app or built in in the wallet app with the beatiful ecosystem and easy to use UI/UX? I think if they do they one to be like acorn but with a apple hehe nice video do you have a video of the proces of canceling acorn account and how you move from one to another platform what to have in mind? i love from all acorn UI/UX and how they do the things but for some reason in my research everyone talk bad about them so for that im waiting a bit longer now that I want to start and watch every review ect
Videos aren't free to make so affiliate links are a way to be compensated without being paid directly to make the video. If you actually watch this you can see it's a fair review. If you want a turnkey service to do it all for you, Acorns is good. If you want control it's not good for you. Easy as that.
I looked up Acorns' 3 percent match, and it says, "We'll boost your retirement with a 3% IRA match on new contributions that you ... keep in your Acorns Later retirement account for 4 years. Max out your annual contributions, and that's an extra $210 investment - on us!" Uh, does that mean you have to wait four years to get your $210?
IMO Acrons is not good for building wealth. I use the Gold tier for a passive way to invest with round ups and my kids accounts. I prefer an actual brokerage account for real investing. Acorns is a nice to have but if it were more than $12 I would be canceling the service.

Are u up 20% over all or year over year? If it’s 20% over 6 years then it’s not that good because SPY would had given u a lot more

Direct deposit into your acorn checking account and the subscription gets waived.

@@Bmarts93 I was just about to mention this. It’s all free with that direct deposit.
Didn’t forget just don’t love the feature. I want to control where my money flows.

If I have Wealthfront and Acorns would wash sales be concern?

I'm 62, on ssdi very low income, would this help me by just using the round up change?
If you want to save and invest it’s a way for you to do that but it doesn’t have any special benefits for someone in your circumstances
Do you think there is a risk of acorns having problems like Yotta? I used to use Yotta and switched to acorns right before the 💩 hit the fan

RobinHood has a terrible reputation over the years
Being in the military. How does Acorns work when traveling to other countrys? And dealing with currencies ?🤔🤔🤔🤔
I would assume that because you're still a citizen with a US bank account it would work but honestly have zero experience with that so I'd reach out to customer service if I were you!

I would be interested in a RH Gold IRA vs Webull IRA video. Not sure if you've done one recently!

Yup! 3% of $7k per year you are allowed to contribute is $210 per year. Were you thinking you’d pull out your retirement savings in the next 4 years?
So if I max out my 7,000 contribution limit this year, they'll put 210 extra?
Do you have one coming up for SoFi. I’ve really been enjoying it
Sofi is no comparison with Acorns
Is your fee still waived if you have a direct deposit if $250 or more? If so, then Acorns will be well worth the value!
Some of these comments have to be bots fr full on glazing
Yes, beware the bots!
fyi. 10K term life insurance is essentially nothing
Its $10,000
It’s far from enough but an extra $10k is a nice cherry on top.
What the f??? dude so what do you recommend Omar OMG
