Awesome mix...Bloody Roar w/ Devil May Cry soundtrack. Seriously though, this game gets so much flak, usually dubbed a 'button masher', it's grossly underrated. No, it's not the most sophisticated fighter out there, but it's intuitive, visceral, and loads of fun, and no ring-outs after the 1st game, every arena forces you to battle to the death. A newb can pick it up quickly, but a well seasoned veteran makes it look SOOO much better; it's got stylish intensity like the Devil May Cry series, and takes a lot of practice to play it really well. I've spent thousands of hours playing BR3 (best combat mechanics out of all BR games, IMO).
I never played Extreme, but I DID play Primal Fury for GameCube, and if I understand correctly, Extreme was just Primal Fury for XBox with CG intros (instead of anime) and an added character, Fang, another wolf type opposite Yugo (like Long & Shenlong). Though it was more visually appealing, added new techniques for most existing characters, and included more characters, than BR3, I felt that the mechanics were "dumbed down" to cater to a broader audience...especially guard evading, which went from a critically timed FORWARD+GUARD in BR3, to a slightly less critically timed GUARD; and Long's "Tiger Circle" combo extending his "Goose Circle" combo by appending the 'Beast' button to the various Punch & Kick iterations in BR3, versus the "Tiger Circle" consisting of only the 'Beast' button paired with 1 of AWAY / DOWN-AWAY / DOWN / DOWN-FORWARD / FORWARD, or NEUTRAL, directions. Granted, for some veterans, these fundamental changes may have been preferred, but I liked the less lenient and more technical tact used in BR3. However, we agree on BR4. The 'Bloody Roar' franchise didn't really make the sales that Hudson was aiming for, and though it never really had any great success, it sold enough to keep it alive...until BR4, that was the "straw that broke the camels back", so to speak.
dude i love bloody roar 3, played it growing up from young. im just now purchasing it again to give myself that nostalgia kick we all know and love, and would greatly appreciate if you could give me some insight on how to do certain moves at a higher level? i never learned how to do the alternative super, nor how to extend combos. would love to hear back from you man, i know you wrote this years ago haha
***** Bloody roar is the one of the games I grew up with its my favorite fighting game of all time a new one on the ps4 would be amazing honestly though all I would want is a HD edition of bloody roar 3.
Gran vídeo amo ese juego, para hacer los dos especiales... es decir si estas del lado izquierdo, flecha izquierda, la de abajo, la derecha, lo vuelves a repetir pero cuando vuelvas a oprimir la última que es la derecha lo haces con círculo y para hacer el otro es al revés en vez de empezar con con izquierda lo haces con derecha.

Combos muy básicos , yo las hago sin nesecidad de recurrír a la hipper bestia , solo un súper novato caería en esos combos , hay que ser bastante variado para confundir y ganar al oponente
It's so awesome to see some of the same exact animations used in this game reused in UMVC3. Like the ground bounce and knockbacks

@@Kor1134 All I know about extreme is that they rebalanced that guard evade but the japanese arcade scene still prefers 3
