79 frame is a bit longer also, creates a big gap between cab and bed, glad you kept the 72 frame and boxed it in!!

Damn nice rig for not being a Jeep. Would have liked to see that worked over Cummins powered highboy in a pull off with the Kubota

Is it - still! - considered "cool" to roll coal in the US?

You can tell the way he was driving it that he was basically forcing it to roll coal. In other words, just showing off.

I wouldn’t say it isn’t considered “cool” anymore but more of we see it less because newer trucks can be dialed in for big power with minimal smoke unlike this old mechanical engines are harder to dial in, they can with different fuel plate and afc tuning but it’s not proper tuning like newer diesels.

That's not a true highboy, all highboys came with military closed knucle hubs, much bigger, but still a dana 44. Highboys came out in 1973, they were all dentsides f250. I have owned quite a few. And also bumpside factory 4wds, the word "highboy" is thrown around and misused a lot lately.

      “Highboy” is for all 67-77 f250 4x4 with a divorced t case.

Highboy was also never a factory ford term for the trucks it was created by the consumer.

Being a fellow bumpside I guy I cringed when you shut the tail gate as did the owner. Most of us pull the handle and gently close the tailgate.

Yeah usually they don’t even close when you slam it. You have to function the handle and hold it open to close the tailgate. Or that’s what I’ve found with mine
