- As we were walking on iceberg lake trail, we saw a mother bear with its cubs but it wasn’t the only one. This was the second mama bear we saw. Quick side note, as we were leaving a man was screaming bear behind us and a park ranger showed up. He ended up spraying the bear since he got charged. All ways carry bear spray or a gun. No where is safe in Montana, don’t forget the Moose also!

35+ years hiking and climbing Glacier Park.....
this is so typical of a bear encounter. i've had too many encounters remember.
never had to deploy spray. never.
and the Iceberg/Ptarmigan trail is notorious for bear sightings. i've never hiked that trail and NOT seen one (a dozen times or so).
good job of being yourselves. that's key. don't panic.
Bear operator spotted in Montana
A nice encounter in the Park of a Sow & her cub. The comments about size seemed really stupid? When you consider that they were hoping too even spot bear's. Well they got the Wish. And that Sow seemed too be intent on doing it's Thing without bothering the Tourons that were intruding in her Domain. TG it turned out alright in the End. Thank you.

So in this situation for the people who arent morons is you slowly move in the opposite diretionaway from the bear. Not go towards it with your phone.
Wait are u sure this is Glacier?? Guns aren’t allowed in NP’s and I see at least two guns- weak ass AR and some handgun looks like a Glock…hopefully 10mm 😂
@@glennplentyhawk1294 guns ARE allowed in all national parks and that’s a 300bo 110gr traveling at 2300+fps with a 30 round mag. You are ignorant
