Normally I don’t play Animal Jam, but a while ago I came across a very strange glitch on AJ Classic. This glitch was very common with other jammers at the time (maybe a few months ago this happened), but it came in many forms. One of the forms of the glitch is you would just be playing normal, and all of the sudden, you would get constantly spammed with Jam-a-Grams and buddy requests, to the point where you couldn’t even decline the buddy requests. You would just have to sit there and wait for it to stop. The thing that kind of creeped me out is that some of the buddy requests were actual people. Like, they had user names and their animals would have accessories. And this happened many, many times. I’m not sure if it’s still happening now, but I wouldn’t be surprised. The second way was less common, but one time I logged on and I was spawned in Crystal Sands. Normal. Until I went over to the slides, and there were animals that were glitching around saying “too lazy to write a message” or something along those lines. The animals were strange dull colors but they seemed to sort of.. glow? I’m not sure. This got me thinking it must be a hacker that’s doing this. A few days later, I hadn’t played for a few days, I tried to log on. I logged in and my account was suspended for three days. I checked with my siblings and their accounts were suspended too. It was peculiar because I hadn’t been on AJ Classic for DAYS. I haven’t played since, just because I think it was a bit creepy and I didn’t really want to be a part of it.

I REMEMBER THAT GLITCH FROM MONTHS AGO! I eventually told myself "its just a warning that aj is going to crash" and now it aint creepy
I've had this sound/glitch happen to me before, and I've come to the conclusion that it happens when you click/press your device a numerous amount of times in a few seconds. For instance you said that it happened when you had been trying to get into fancy shorts den. You most likely kept pressing the go to den button, and the device couldn't handle it! This is just a theory I've come up with, but it happens to me when I do this. I just reload and the game is back to normal! Hope this helps! 💜

I agree! It's really strange, and the crashing of the game is sometimes annoying especially if you've been focusing on something and the data has been lost. It hasn't happened to me as much recently, but hopefully it can be fixed in the future! Thank you for informing us once again!

Well I can tell you right off the bat. This is not caused by overheating. Computers do not react to overheating by causing random glitches. It will go up in flames before that happens. And it's not AJHQ telling you to take a break. They wouldn't have a random creepy noise to tell you that. They'd make a notification like any sane developer. Most likely, this is simply an engine bug related to the sound engine, if it triggers more easily by button mashing, this is the most likely explanation
It's the same as the sound you get when hitting the "Shift Button" to fast.

According to AJHQ on their Instagram, it happens due to periods of long use. It's cause by the software that they use so they're just kind of stuck with it, they said logging out every 15 to 20 minutes can prevent it idk

@Snuglet Snugletts yeah, I feel like this is fairly new, I got a new phone for Christmas and it only started now so mabye it’s not the device. Also when I get the siren sound it’s when I’m Decorating my den , when it happens I remember things being glitchy and me spamming a den item to place it down. 🤷♀️

yEp, this glitch... when I first experienced this it REALLY freaked me out. The creepiest things for me are probably sounds, so yeah, I would agree that this is the creepiest glitch.
A glitch happened at the play as your pet party. Everyone’s eyes went black. And the siren sound came on but everyone saw and heard it. It happened only yesterday.

Bro this glitch sucks, and it always scared me. I didn't know this was an uncommon glitch since it happens to me all the time. It isn't an overheating thing, trust me. As someone who dealt with this just after turning on my laptop and logging in, it seems like an AJ specific thing. Maybe something in the code itself trips up since it seems to happen randomly. That might also be why it has been in the game for so long, since it could be something within the code itself. That's just a guess though.

I've been playing this game on and off for a few years and just this glitch happened to me for the first time! It was really unsettling how out of nowhere this sound started playing and the louder it got, the creepier it was. I was so creeped out that I just left the app before it had a chance to crash. What makes this exceptionally creepy to me was how it completely cut out all other sound effects and music + it followed me everywhere. The worst part for me was definitely when it kept getting louder and louder, as if it were getting closer or bigger, that's when I left the app entirely. Now I feel pretty silly for getting scared over a relatively harmless glitch like this.😅

this glitch happens when you spam a button and its too many requests for the device. It can also get rid of other apps you are using at the same time

Lucky I don't spam buttons i have this thing where when I open my buddy list a buddy is hidden and then their name appears and if u click a buddy when that buddy is not there it clicks on the buddy supposed to be on top of them so now I'm worried if I click the place my buddy I wanna click to much this will happen I wait for my bud's name to show up
Yea I remember hearing that sound around a year ago, it usually happens if you spam click an icon or pressing too many things every second. But they didn’t have to make the sound like a siren!

I’ve encountered it before, and I knew this video is about it. I also talked a bit about it in a live stream a couple days ago since there was a weird noise showing up every once in a while that sounded similar and kind of hurt my ears.
OH MY GAWD THANK THE LORD YOU MADE THIS. Like last week I was playing in class cuz my teacher allowed us to and the sirens happened. It sacred the living life right outta me. My teacher and everyone got concerned and I told idk what was going on. Thank god my teacher was understanding and didn’t give me detention😅

I actually deadass messaged animal jam about this on their Instagram cause it freaked me the hell out when it happened to me; their only response was that it had to do with the software they use, it happens after long periods of use and that logging out every 15 to 20 minutes between use can prevent it from happening
I’ve had this glitch multiple times. And it is strange that they haven’t changed it. No it’s probably not a creepy pasta. That would be a creepy warning for telling you that it’s gonna crash but there’s a possibility. Although it could be what you said devices is overheating. I know a child has experienced this.

When I was very young and playing AJ this happened to me (was probably 7 or 8) and I was super creeped out! I didn’t play for at least a week and was scared to DEATH. I didn’t realize it was a glitch until I watched this video! If only I saw this when I was 8
Oh my gosh. I got this glitch before.
See, what happened was, I was in my den, looking up creepy usernames to see if I could find any AJPW myths. And then, the glitch happened, and my phone started vibrating like crazy.
I looked around at my den, just expecting something to pop up. Nothing was in sight, and that only made me more scared.
I was so scared that my fight-or-flight response took control and I exited the game without even logging out.
Then, a message pops up on my screen:
"Animal Jam has stopped responding. Would you like to restart the app?"
No joke, I was horrified. I thought my phone was actually haunted for a while, but then it never happened ever again.
The sound is probably hacked in or a test sound to see if the sound system would work, and with it getting louder and louder, it was probably to test volume stuff (if my testing theory is right), and it got to loud causing it to have a sort of information overload and crash because of it. Doesn't explain why it isn't removed, though.
This happened to me too! I thought it was an emergency signal like if there was a "flash flood" or heavy wind warning in my area- and I was today years old when I learned this was a glitch
2:39 as soon as the aound started i started getting eerie feelings and CHILLS.
theres also a creepy but also funny glitch where sometimes your pet will get black eyes, it honestly spooked me the first time i saw it LOL
This always happens to me! At first I thought my laptop had a virus and I was getting hacked or summin 😂 now it's just annoying 😐
That glitch did happen to me a lot of times but every time it would happen I would just turn my volume all the way down cause if I’m being honest that sound creeped me out.
This happens to me ALL THE TIME! I think it might have something to do with clicking too much stuff and making the game overload and combine all the sounds in the game into one big siren or it has something to do I with your WiFi. Idk what is actually is but this is just a guess.

I never heard of this glitch or anything till now and it freaks me out as not to long ago I heard that sound playing from my phone in game. I was confused and unsure what was up so I quit and log back in, as that seemed like a wise choice.

I had that glitch before. Usually at pet party, actually almost every time in the play as ur pet party. It doesn’t happen often, but I just mute the ipad so I won’t hear that annoying noise. I also had this glitch that if I’m looking on someone’s trd or wishlist and it lags, random items will overlap each other on the center of my screen, so I reload.
I just remembered now that this happened to me a year ago and I had no clue what it was. I’d just immediately close the game and wouldn’t go on it for the rest of the day.

A story no one asked for
Today, I was going on animal jam to get my daily login reward. It was taking longer to load then the time it usually takes for it to load. I got annoyed with this and went off the app.
Like 1 minute later, I came back. I was patient this time and waited for it to load.
When it did load, i collected my daily reward and went into my den to take care of my pets. I tried to go to the sapphire shop after I took care of my pets, but the screen went black and it took me to the login page. I was scared because I thought I was getting hacked, but good thing I watched this video. And I found out that it was a glitch, and I wasn’t actually getting hacked.

You can hear people in the backround. Almost as if it was a fire alarm. Somewhere a staff member (PROBALY) forgot they were recording audio and were evacuating. Someone (after it was over lol) probably thought it was funny or wanted to get fired for adding the sound from the alarm to the game.
Or it's just a background sound in that video, It's happened to me, I've never heard it when it occurred for me.

So, the Siren Glitch has happened to me today!! Woot Woot! It felt like a great accomplish for me, so I recorded it from my phone. I really listened to the siren, and I noticed it getting louder!!! At some point I heard an additional siren noise in the background had a higher pitch that slowly became audible. I felt the sirens when I touched the screen. It lasted for 7 minutes.
I don't know why I enjoyed that but I did.

for the den decorating, that’s why you should always stop decorating after a bit so you save your progress and then go back to editing until you’re done
Before I say this real quick, I have a fear. A fear of someone being out there in the dark at night. If that happened to me for the first time ever at night I would run and hide, terrified for my life XD
Oh my game does that sometimes and it is creepy but there is a creepier glitch that hasn’t been fixed yet and it has been there since 2020 which is every so often your pets eyes turn fully black and it is so freaky.
I almost thought i was the only one that heard that creepy glitch siren/scan sound. It did happen to me a couple of time and i thought it only happened to me.
The first time it happened to me, I screamed and dropped my tablet. I thought AJHQ would fix it over the years, Now I'm used to it, It's kind of calming now,
i don’t know if this has happened to me before because a lot of the time my phone is on silent mode. my phone has been crashing a lot (it’s over two years old and is a fairly old model with very low storage space so that explains) so it’s possible that i have encountered it, unless it’s only on pc or that it doesn’t matter if you have your device on silent or not

This happened to me! I was on call, and I was playing an rp with my bud. My game did not crash though, but I did have to leave because that siren went ALL a through my device and blocked out all music and sounds, which was annoying since I was on call. Thanks for letting me know about all this!
This happened to me while I did a pet giveaway… I thought it was outside, and I had been in the middle of trading my pet coin pet. I mean, it was a pandemic and I was in a very large state. The person I was trading the pet to told me what was happening, and I turned off the sound and it stopped. Then I crashed.
There’s a fun glitch on aj classic where instead of paying diamonds for a sheep/arctic wolf, etc. and it’s fun because I don’t have to pay diamonds!

I had that happen to me on Steam AJ, and i had no idea what the sound was, then my game crashed, but the sound was still playing even though it was closed. I ended up restarting my computer and it went away, but it was so weird. Glad it wasn't just me!
As soon as I saw the title of this video, I KNEW it was this glitch. This glitch happens to me too a lot, and it's happened to me on aj classic before too, I'm pretty sure. It freaks me out so much. If you listen closely to the sound, there's talking in the background. Creepy.

Also I just experienced this siren audio glitch like a few minutes ago while trying to play and it also happened a couple nights ago. The first time it happened it had gotten so loud, my volume setting for my IPad was set to halfway, that my ears started ringing and I got a headache. I also got very nauseated.
As of tonight it happened again and was a higher pitch, but not as loud. Same results, except I don’t have a headache. I just feel super queasy.
It happens to me when I stress AJ too much (keep tapping trading den, keep checking my trading list, continuously opening and closing my avatars customization)
Agreed it’s so annoying like when I’m in the middle of restocking my shops and it just goes ✨bye✨ aaand then I have re restock all over again ;-;

I havent experienced this glitch before, but theres one glitch that always happens to me. I was playing aj, closed the app, went back in a few minutes later, and the music was playing, but the screen was frozen. Then, the music stopped. The screen went black. It stayed black for at least 1 minute, then the game loaded again.
This will ***usually*** happen if you spam to get into a den. This can be avoided by not doing so.
Its happened to me, but i rejoined before it got louder at all and crashed.

there used to be a glitch on animaljam classic back in the OOOLD days like 2013 type days where your game would speed up and you could speedrun adventures etc, the music would go really fast and then really slow. it was really creepy.
YEAH I hadn’t played ajpw since 2018 so I decided to come back with my old acc, you would not believe the pure FEAR I felt once the fun halloween music that was playing in my den turned into that flippin siren sound
Ik others players do have this creepy glitch.. but let me tell you. (This was in ajpw) I love the “play as your pet parties” and I would go to them whenever I could, I had my pet Cat out normally, and wanted to change it. So I changed it to a corgi! But, the pets eyes were pitch black. I can provide some screenshots if anybody wants.

so, I was maybe 6 years old, playing animal jam with my online friend. Then, I hear the sirens. I start screaming, and I know my tablet is haunted. So I exited the app before it crashed, deleted animal jam, and re-downloaded it a year later XD

I dont know if this has ever happened to anyone else, but once on Animal Jam I had a glitch where everything that was supposed to be words was written in 0101010's like code or whatever. It was really strange. I just uninstalled the app and installed it again and it went away.

Yeah I've heard this happened to a lot of other Jammers before but it had never happened to me before until one time it did, lol it was so loud and so random! I almost jumped out of my seat, I knew it was the glitch tho,

I’ve experienced this glitch a few times when playing AJPW on my computer. One time, I thought my computer was about to break and set on fire- thankfully, it crashed so the horrid sound stopped. I literally haven’t played animal jam on that computer since because it won’t open.
Ah yes, I’ve gotten that on camera, I got scared and started recording, it hurt my ears so badly.. perhaps it’s a maintenance call? No idea.
yea this happened to me to me a lot, and every single time it happens, welllll.... i start panicing because im sensitive to creepy sounds. i also told my mum and she said it was weird, and said she didnt know why it was happening. i never want to go on animal jam and go to a full den because of this 😭✋

I was trying to log in but it kept failing, im sure i tried to log in about 5 times or so. It made the siren noise then crashed. It actually happened multiple times.
So i reinstalled it, and when that didnt work i just waited

I think that happens if you do to many same actions, like you said you was trying to get into fancy shorts den and you was doing one thing for too long time and thats tapping their name and trying to enter den so game gets that as a you are using third-party program and warns you that you will be kicked out 🤷🏼♀️

It happens to me. When I click something so much times, my sister did it when she was playing animal jam (she’s 4 so ya) and the glitch came so much times from her tapping so hard on the screen to go somewhere.. and my cousin did it by tapping lots. And just reload?

This happens to me on a daily basis if I play for too long haha! You were right, it actually is because your device is overheating, but thats your system warning you, not directly from animal jam. My laptop sucks and has a bad cooler, so I experience it a bit too frequently :')

Ever since February this year i got the glitch for the first time and it scared me so bad bc it was 3:33 pm i was trying to sleep bc i was terrified by this huge flying bug in. my room and when the weird sound came from my game i was so scared i even did something to my password! I get this glitch all the time and its really frustrating! I was in the middle of a trade once and it happened, I hadn't been able to memorise the person's user so I wasn't able to retrade them. It also happens when I'm den decorating and it gets annoying especially if its a big den.
I think it's when you've been playing animal jam for long enough and animal jam can't handle it, because it only happens to me when I've been playing for awhile
This used to happen to me multiple times a day, whenever you click buttons it gets closer to crashing. It happened to me for a very long time at one point, and it wouldn't go away. It just stayed there until I refreshed, but other times it was very short. Weird haha
Sometimes when this happens I usually hear the sound but it doesn’t crash right away, sometimes it takes like 5-10 minutes to crash. It’s so weird.

It always happened to me when I tried to go into a trading den. I think it happens when you do the same thing so many times. Like on my old account i was trying to make my wishlist the biggest wishlist ever and i was just putting random things on my wishlist and that noise happened and icrashed. And when i try to get into full dens i spam click the den icon as anyone would and after a while the noise appeared and i crashed
