Mark saying that they always remind each other that they are a team so they can't just go out and do whatever they want because it will affect the other members really makes me kinda sad with all this situation going on right now
I always feel for Mark and his multi-lingual brain. It's so hard to swich back and forth all the time and it's not surprising that he sometimes chooses an odd word. I remember after living in France for years, when I met up with my parents again I would get stuck all the time and couldn't remember the most basic English terms. And then when I added my third language, I kept throwing French in all the time cause my brain was just hunting for the word and getting mixed up....
Their interview with Johnny was really good, too. A lot more chill because Johnny's super chill by himself. And yeah, Jaehyun really benefited from spending so much time with Johnny, Mark, and Ten for the past 10 years. He really got fluent with English just from them alone. He learned it as a kid living in the US for a few years, but spending so much time with English speakers as a teenager really helped his English skills in the long run.
I'm so happy you guys reacted to them being on the Korean Englishman! You definitely need to check out the episodes when Josh and Ollie ate with Johnny, Minho, and Ateez (Ateez is on their Jolly channel)!
This episode is such a good time! Mark and Jaehyun really are so sweet and charismatic, they meshed so well with Josh and Olly. I hope you guys check out their episode with Johnny as well. They were also a vibe, but it's funny to see Johnny's personality because he has a much drier sense of humor!
8:01 Korean culture: the youngest should serve for the oldest. Like pour the water for them I just realized this after watching Muk2u, Haechan always does it 💚 Also in Running Man (Korean reality show)
Yep, Jaehyun's family lived in Connecticut for 4 years during his elementary/primary school years, so he is fluent in English. This episode of Korean Englishman was in 2019, right before SuperM's debut, which is why I think Mark was careful to say NCT isn't the Avengers of Kpop, because that is what SuperM was meant to be known as. In case you were wondering, Josh and Ollie have become pretty big name TH-camrs and they have been producing Korean-based content on their Korean Englishman TH-cam channel for close to 10 years now. They interview people from big name Hollywood actors like Will Smith, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ryan Reynolds, etc. to sports stars like David Beckham and Kpop stars such as SHINee's Minho, Korean-American Kpop soloist Eric Nam, Henry Lau from Super Junior-M, Mark, Jaehyun and Johnny from NCT, etc. to regular people like their friends and family, whom they have made TH-cam famous over the years. When Western actors come to Korea for press junkets to promote their latest movie or events Josh and Ollie introduce them to Korean culture and food while they interview them. And over the years they have brought their friends and family to Korea to introduce them to Korean culture, filming vlogs and videos of all the things they do while they are in Korea. As mentioned, Josh and Ollie come to Korea for about a week to 2 weeks once a month, to film and do business, etc. Some of their most famous series they have done are: they brought their friends -- who are identical twins, one is a priest and one is a Major in the British military -- to Korea and they visited a Korean military base and participated in training exercises. Another series, they started by introducing a group of high schools at a British boys school to Korean food and culture and then for their high school graduation gift they took the group to Korea for a week, and most recently they reconnected with the group of boys after their first year at university and they brought them all back to Korea for a week to experience the Korean military, as well as other things. Josh spent time living and studying in Korea when he was younger, and most of his friends as a teenager when his family was living in China were Korean -- which is why Josh also speaks some Chinese -- so he gained a love for Korean culture and he even earned a degree in Korean language at university. Josh and Ollie met while they were at university and became best friends. They started messing around posting videos online and eventually were able to turn it into a full-time career. (They also have a second -- just as popular -- TH-cam Channel called Jolly, where they post content about food from all over the world.) They post videos on both of their channels every week. Josh's wife Gabbie is also Korean-British, and she is a professional chef who has won one of the seasons of Masterchef. (She also has a TH-cam channel.) And although Ollie isn't fluent in Korean, he actually understands most of what people say in Korean and he is proficient enough to be able to communicate with their Korean staff on his own, he just may not form perfect sentences all the time, but most Koreans can understand what he means when he speaks Korean. Ollie is the producer of the show that is often the one behind the camera and Josh is the content creator and main interviewer. Ollie is in charge of filming and editing and Josh is the one leading the show most of the time. Check out more of the videos on The Korean Englishman channel to learn more about Korean culture and see what kind of fun antics Josh and Ollie are always getting themselves into. All their videos are super fun to watch.

My ult bias and bias wrecker on an interview on one of my favorite channels! It was beautiful how well Mark and Ollie got along.
