val val I’m pretty sure the fee you pay for SAS includes three meals a day. But, if you want to get snacks from the snack bar or pool bars then it is additional. However I heard that the snack and pool bar is really affordable !
Starasia Williams it’s not easier, because it’s not right. You’ve got omnivores, pescatarians, vegetarians and vegans. They’re all different. Omnivores eat plants and animals. Pescatarians eat plants and fish. Vegetarians eat plants and animal products (dairy, honey, eggs etc, but no meat or gelatine). Vegans eat plants and no animal products or animals.
@@thePipeBandEnthusiast it being not right is not entirely true. some people just don't know what it is. I'm pescatarian and my friends still refer to me as vegetarian after explanation. it's simply just easier to say it that way.
From people I know that have done SAS, there are no “weekends” like you would have at a normal university. Days where you a re at sea are class days, and days that you are in port are “free” days, unless you are on a class specific trip.
@Cal Commercial Insurance you didn't actually go on semester at sea did you? There are no weekends only port days and study days, even people who only watch these videos know that
I don’t think there are any weekends but there are A days and B days I’ve been watching a lot of SAS videos on one of the days you only have one subject and on the other day you have more classes
If you have snacks in your room for breakfast or anything can you bring a granola bar or something to class or is it absolutely no food outside of cafeteria and dorm rooms?
toby altholtz well she said that nothing can leave the dining hall but what if it was never in the dining hall and was a granola bar in your dorm room for a snack?
Mary McCasland i was watching this other girls video and she and her roommate had loads of snacks in their room, so i think it’s about not letting the plates and stuff leave the room x
Why don't the semester at sea people answer people's questions in the comments when they're trying to sell a product 😂 they just let us sit here debating amongst ourselves. I get wanting to avoid answering the price question, because duh, but the efficiency of the pitch would go up if they answered at least a few questions. Js.
Grace Riley Exactly, how are we supposed to know how much this or that and how everything works. She just say the basic things and move on. Girl if you are paid or asked to sell something sell it in a good way ! Every video about sas is talking but never answering.. 😂 That must hide something idk And it’s ridiculous that it pass as a “normal” TH-cam video we all know they’ve been asked to do it stop bullshiting us 😂
I was wondering if there is a limit on how many snacks you can bring? I read online that you can’t bring more than what you can eat in one sitting? I want to bring cliff bars, goldfish and other snacky things like that but don’t want to have to throw them away embarkation if I bring to much :( but anyways thanks for another great video :D I leave in just over 3 weeks and your videos always make me so excited to leave lol
hey Violet, when I did SAS, my roommate had a carry on full of snacks that she had put into her big suitcase and then added actual luggage around it to fill the space. It worked out pretty great because one - we had so many snacks that lasted pretty well into the semester (she was super nice to share with me) and then at the end of the trip she had an extra luggage piece to fill with souvenirs and knickknacks she acquired during the trip. Hope this helps :-)
Elena Boteva that does help a lot because that is exactly what I was planning on doing. XD I want to pack one bag full of snacks and soaps and stuff that I don’t need to take home so that I have a bag for souvenirs. :) thanks for the info!
No normally, they're really strict about being not drunk on board. they sometimes have drink nights where you can have 2 drinks (the choices are wine, beer, and champagne) or if you go to the fancy dining restaurant you can have champagne or wine (but I think it's only 1 or 2 glasses allowed).
Its $26k-$31k for just the tuition and boarding but after all the additional charges like visa's, immunization, flights, fuel surcharges, plus activities while in port(even if you go cheap) its usually barely less than $40k
Almost anyone can do it but there are some requirements. you have to be in college, have over a specific GPA, be able to get the visa's to the other countries, and make sure that your college allows their students on semester at sea. But the most common reason people cant go is even with one of the cheapest rooms after all the visa's, immunizations, fuel surcharges, flights, and activities while in port its usually over $40,000 for just 1 semester which is about 2 to 3 times the normal tuition for a whole year at college
Grace Blondell im allergic to a lot of foods (dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sunflower and sesame seeds) but I’m just going to bring a lot of snacks to eat :)
@@brook_the_best.ever9 I think he's talking about how the tuition includes 3 meals a day. But maybe you can ask them if you can take off a meal plan because I'm not 100 sure :)

Katey Strayer . Ok
pescatarian options?
crabby kpop haha serious?
crabby kpop fish is NOT vegetarian
crabby kpop actually not eating ANY meat is called vegetarian and fish is a meat so you can’t eat fish if you are vegetarian.
Do you have a meal plan or do you have to buy everything you eat?
Cal Commercial Insurance wait seriously???
No I think breakfast comes with but like the at the bars where there are snacks and stuff it costs.
Their website says that It includes three meals per day, but snacks and other stuff you have to buy

Tabatha Island Thank youu
Every buffet style restaurant needs to write the allergens in each dish like that! How helpful!
Fish is not a vegetarian option. That would only be for a pescatarian. Which is entirely different.
Entirely? You just consume sea animals. Saying vegetarian is easier

Katalina Alvarez no but she knows what a pescatarian is
Alicia well yeah
Many people say that fish is vegetarian as it's not meat which confuses me.
iaxivers I am a vegetarian, fish is not vegetarian because we don’t eat any animals (fish is considered an animal)
@@katalinaalvarez1663 Of course it's an animal. What else would it be?
For the buffet meals, can you get as much as you want like a regular buffet on line?
What’s the cheapest total amount that I can spend to go on Semester at sea?
The rooms run from 26,000 to 30,000
Capones Sky 26k for a semester +other expenses
And I think £4275 per entire year is bad... #NorthernIrelandUniversity
Mariette Lopez Omg... that’s like a full year at any other college
$40,000
a very very comfortable way to study :-)
smh, my asian ass would bring 3 boxes of ramen and udon. I wouldn't last 4 months at sea without udon or ramen
the ship does travel in Asia, possibly in countries where ramen and udon is available
@@fluthyhehim66 they do travel to Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Africa.
Must suck to be you to only limit yourself to ramen and udon. Open your mind and try something different.
@@azurem7947 and australia/hawaii too which would have ramen/udon depending where port is.
Why can't I just get on this ship? Having class on a damn ship sounds so fun.

Do u have to buy all these or is it included in the overall price that we play for the whole journey
Hi, Reid! It's included in the price!
why are these videos on everybody’s recommended as well as mine!!
Do any of the bars offer alcohol?
yes

How do you make money on the ship?
Prolly sell dank af weed 😂🤣
You don’t. It’s a study abroad program. SAS offers some internship programs that help pay for the cost of the semester (which is around 30k).
JaCk3D :3 the money would be insane lmao.
Regan Butler I know all that but they talk about buying food at the snack bar
Daniel Villarreal chances are the people that can afford to go on SAS have some money that they can bring on the ship with them to buy food.
Why is the music so loud
Is it free to get food and drinks
Does SAS have the same meal everyday???
it switches off so yes but like if there was fish for lunch there will be meat or chicken for dinner (breakfast switches every day as well)
How much is this aprox?
26k-33k

The cheapest room is a triple inside room starts at USD$26,000 for the semester. special excursions, visas and flights not included
Do you have vegan options tho 🤔
are there many vegan options???
Peanut allergies??
