The Chiefs were mostly a lower achieving team in the 80's, though, and.... Just look at how long it took some of the players from dynasty level teams to get in! Fair or not, that's how it is.
One thing that needs to be taken into consideration regarding Clay Matthews is that he amassed over 60 sacks in his 1st 6 seasons, and then the year that his sack numbers started dropping was the year that he literally changed positions. He switched from Edge Rusher to Middle Lineacker and became a 2-time Pro Bowler at that position LOL.

Khalil Mac is for sure a Hall of Famer. 4 time First Team All Pro, 1 time second, 8 time pro bowler, and he’s also the first player to be a First Team All Pro in two positions (McCraffrey also did so in 2019). He’s also only played 9 seasons, so say he plays 3-4 more years at 6-10 sacks a season, he’s in no question

Hate to be that guy but… at the least Frank Thomas, Rafael Palmiero and Jeff Bagwell were all better 1st basemen in the 90’s. And Sosa had a much better season in 1998 than Mac.

Pretty sad that almost any NFL player who strung together like 6-ish competent seasons now has the chops to get into the HOF now that Hester is in. There's just so many guys now where you can say "He had a few good seasons, had a couple nice counting stats, was never really that dominant, but I guess if Hester is in, he has a case now".
In the case of Hester, the argument (whether you agree with it or not) is that some say he was the best kick returner ever. I don’t know if I’d put Hester in, but six competent years wouldn’t exactly make an argument for the best at any position in my opinion.

It’s refreshing to hear your opinion on Devin Hester’s HoF candidacy. I’m a lifelong Bears fan and watched every single one of his games. He was absolutely incredible electric on kickoffs and punts for a few years but the longevity wasn’t there and he was absolute ass when they tried him at receiver
I’d say Hester had good longevity for a returner (he actually led the league in kick and punt return yards in 2013 and 2014 at 31 and 32). Even if you don’t think he makes it in, I’d say longevity isn’t a reason why personally.
Bill Walton was Jokic of the 1970s. He had a legendary collage career, and coming after Wilt, Russell, and Kareem, had an all around game that made him elite. That made him a top 4 center of all time (at the time). But then injuries, short career, … Moses, Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Parish, Shaq, etc. It’s hard to knock someone off of Mount Rushmore. Looking back from today, he doesn’t belong in an NBA HOF, but the basketball HOF isn’t limited to the NBA.
Would like to see your take on JJ Watt, as a Texans fan he was the most dominant defensive player I’ve seen but injuries definitely hindered him in the later part of his career
I am a Chiefs fan, and I don't understand how Deron Cherry isn't in the HOF. He was a better NFL player than several recent inductees, notably Hester. Cherry has 50 career interceptions. He was a 3 time 1st team All-Pro, a 6 time Pro Bowler, only played 11 seasons, but was a member of the Second Team All Decade team of the 80s, behind Ronnie Lot. I feel like he definitely should be in the HOF.
Salvador Perez. Has the most HR in a season for catchers. Tied the previous record in the HR derby, but got no coverage because his opponent beat it. Biggest issues people have is his framing.
i remember brandon marshall setting the nfl record for catches in a game it was like 21 or something which is crazy not to mention it was kyle orton at qb
Ichiro Suzuki since he has over 3000 hits(came over to the Majors when he was 27), .311 batting career average and a little over 500 stolen bases. He's easily one of the best defensive rightfielders and best leadoff hitter of all time

Bro. I know you admire his talent. I know you love seen with your own eyes. He has similar velocity to Elway and Favre. But a quicker release. Only negative is his lack of distance. But top 5 velocity all time should make up for that?!!!
my wifes boyfriend gave me permission to stay up and im watching you. thank you barry
Can’t believe we got Barry to talk pick a little bit, now we just need to get you to watch it
barry i died thank you for saving me, what a hero
It’s refreshing to hear your opinion on Devin Hester’s HoF candidacy. I’m a lifelong Bears fan and watched every single one of his games. He was absolutely incredible electric on kickoffs and punts for a few years but the longevity wasn’t there and he was absolute ass when they tried him at receiver
I’d say Hester had good longevity for a returner (he actually led the league in kick and punt return yards in 2013 and 2014 at 31 and 32).
Even if you don’t think he makes it in, I’d say longevity isn’t a reason why personally.
Thanks Larry now I got marijuana disease
Thank you for getting to David Wright, now do Keith Hernandez! It's criminal how he's not in the Hall of Fame
I was finishing my last dose of my stds before this notification popped up, I have now officially quit. thank you barry
You know Barry I think you should include at the end the video a segment where you predict if young players are gonna be hof or not
Barry you must feel horrible after that assault.
Would like to see your take on JJ Watt, as a Texans fan he was the most dominant defensive player I’ve seen but injuries definitely hindered him in the later part of his career
Gotta say your take on Patrick Peterson not being a HoFer is wrong. Look at all his all pros and pro bowls. He was a top 3 CB for like 7 years
Yeah, Peterson is a HOFer…no doubt. Not to mention 4 Punt Return TDs his rookie year. Devin Hester numbers.
Greg Nettles? Super underrated part of the Yankee Championships in the 70s
Was giving my sister a massage when I got this notification.
Dwight Evans, one of the most underrated Red Sox players ever. Great hitter and terrific fielder. Had more career WAR than many Hall of Famers
Ichiro Suzuki since he has over 3000 hits(came over to the Majors when he was 27), .311 batting career average and a little over 500 stolen bases. He's easily one of the best defensive rightfielders and best leadoff hitter of all time
Should make it in on the first ballot.
My question though is what percentage does King Felix get?
Ichiro is a no-brainer
As a Titans fan this hurts but I also don’t have my guys in the HOF either
Antonio Gates, to me missing as a first ballot is mind boggling especially since Hester made it over him
Actually Kenny Lofton was somebody everybody wanted at the trade deadline. It seemed like every year Kenny Lofton got traded to a contender at the deadline.
If Cowher is in, Carroll is in too.
JPP my favorite fireworks enjoyer
My girlfriend’s husband just let me know Barry posted another hall of fame video.
What about Andrei Kirilenko? He had a great defensive run in Utah.
His nickname is HOF worthy tho, Ak47
Yes bary Lavonte deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, he is the best LB ive ever seen hes the Carmelo anthony of LB's
Basketball HOF is weird because they include every level of basketball you play. Walton is a college legend, even more than a tremendous NBA what if.
You can look at Kenny Loftons trades in 2 ways: Either nobody wanted him, or everybody wanted him
Another legendary video from Barry. Youre a true american hero.(i havent watch the video yet)
Alex Enlish, most underrated NBA player in my opinion, like no one talks about him.
Alex English is in the Basketball Hall of Fame
