This act is so hard to finish before getting timed out. It’s not because it’s long like Coral Garden Act 1, it’s cause it’s so easy to be distracted by all the detail they put into the backgrounds.
@@misterperegrine It’s fine, and I understand your point. Some of the background objects like the billboards could be changed a bit to seem less like platforms you can stand on.
I love what theyre doing with this game. It gives me freedom planet vibes with how the backgrounds change mid level and the bosses or enemies interact with you during the level. It gives the game so much sauce and flash that mania was missing. Im proud of what the community can cook up! Its magnificent 🎉
If Stardust Speedway and Studiopolis had a child. You get this fire zone. My only complaint with this zone was that there was no second act to this zone
@@michaelpitter9193 Nah they can release the unfinished build of Luminoucity act 2 early. In all seriousness, they can take their time with this fan game. Can’t wait for it.
Probably my favorite city-themed zone i've ever seen in any Sonic game, i love fricking love how everything in this crafted, from its presentation, the music, the way the badniks are made, the way the background and side content the level has like those billboards and jukeboxes that make this place feel more vibrant and groovy, and the constant chase of this mysterious new character. I love how he's constantly chasing you as he's teasing you to chase him to his place, and just when you think you're about to fight him, suddenly the real mini boss appears. and again, this game prooves why it's much better than the likes of that Sonic Superstars, the bosses in this game are what the bosses on Superstars should've been, cause unlike Superstars bosses, these bosses feel more fun and faster to fight than the tedious and boring bosses from that game. and this boss is a great example of how to make a fun Classic Sonic boss that's long but fun at the same time. Probably my favorite zone despite just having the first act only, there's alot of this one act that i simply love alot.
I think Sonic Legends got nice city themed level based on Utopia project. Sonic Uprising also got city level, but it feels very unfinished like basic part of art style are already there, but badnicks need better placement and routes and platforms.
This stage is very Sonic CD to me, the sample heavy music, the new jack swing vibe, the vaguely futuristic setting, racing a robot, it’s all here. I’ve been listening on repeat for 20 minutes. This is way too good.
I always enjoy City-type zones in Sonic. They make the world feel more alive to me. That being said, Luminoucity is by far the goriest city I’ve laid my eyes on. I fr couldn’t stopped looking at the beautiful background. And the music is amazing. (Too bad that there’s only one act) Sonic 1 - Starlight Zone is one of the best zones in Sonic 1 (Besides from Green Hill) Not much to say about it than being fast paced and good music. Sonic CD - Stardust Speedway Zone has and we’ll be my favorite city zone in the classic era. Too bad the level design isn’t great. But the music makes up for it. And the best rival fight. Sonic 2 - Casino Night Zone Gambling Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Carnival Night Zone is fun to play. Being the first ever Sonic game I played, I got stuck on that stupid barrel on act 2. (Bad memories…) But other wise, fast paced and good music. Sonic Mania - Studiopolis is a very interesting city zone. I guess Eggman owns Studiopolis. I love the references to prior games. (And Sega in general.) I want to paid a subscription for Egg TV to watch his announcements. Sonic Mania - Stardust Speedway (Again) By far the best iteration of Stardust Speedway. Act 1 & 2, Chefs Kiss. Metal fight was great. Liked the reference to Knuckles Chaotix. 1. Luminoucity 2. Stardust Speedway (Mania) 3. Studiopolis 4. Carnival Night 5. Casino Night 6. Stardust Speedway (CD) 7. Starlight

It's like if someone removed all the small nitpicks that only I have with Tee Lopes' style. I always wanted to love his music due to how '90s inspired it is (I really like '80s and '90s nostalgia, which is weird considering that was born in the late 2000s) but I've only been able to, at most, like but not love his work. I would've used a 3D Blast: Flicky's Island instrument patch for the brass personally (I love when people put Mega Drive/Genesis instruments in otherwise HD music), but this is still great!

@@misterperegrine I wasn’t complaining…
Apologies. It’s been a long day and I misconstrued what you said.

Yet another zone name to argue the pronunciation on, awesome!

it reminds me a lot of Rayman Legends !

Totally true, I hope Starteam will finish their game. I like how each zone is different, got unique gameplay elements.

Wait for the next demo.😉

this is probably my favorite song from this game so far
Which luminocity zone act 1 vocal are you?
A. Whoo-
B. CAM AWNNN!!!
C. Yo!
D. Get down!
I’m definitely a “Yo!” person
Well I’m a “Get down!” type. Liminoucity really reminds me of a different Good Future for Stardust Speedway.
THANK YOU

I love the light "whoo"
