    Ben Simmons remind me of Lamar Odom on how he dribble the ball & pass the ball to his teammates he will start at LSU this how good he is.

    Ben Simmons is just Magic Johnson reborn. 6'10 who can do anything in the court. AND can use either hand? Just amazing.

    Ben Simmons is like a Anthony Davis with a mix of lebron. I like his game!! This kids going places.

    • @aidenmccarthy792
      @aidenmccarthy792 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He's not a mix of the best 2 NBA players. We'll see what he becomes in college because that's where games become clear.

    • @frankmat
      @frankmat 9 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      SONICdaGOON I've watched several of his entire games not just highlights and I can see where the Lebron comparison's come from. He is basically a point forward who at 6'10 is close to the quickest on the court and already has elite passing ability and court awareness like Lebron. Simmons is probably a better shooter than Lebron was at the same age.... but Simmons isn't the athlete Lebron is.
      Not saying Simmons is as good as or will be as good as Lebron but anyone that has watched his play this year can see the resemblance in their style of play.
      Either way Simmons is one of those rare players that could literally come out of HS and go straight to the NBA.

    • @nickdaboii

      Lol. LeBron and AD? Hell no. I'm thinking like Scottie Pippin. Best case scenario. Sure he can handle the ball and cut his way through these highschool kids but put an NBA caliber defender on him and that crumbles. I've seen it over and over again.

    • @Ryansteezy
      @Ryansteezy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fr. though like his shaky handles will get him through high school and MAYBE college but against an NBA defender he can easily shut him down. Wish him the best though

      I think we will. Assuming the lakers are one of the bottom 3 teams like everyone says we are, we have a 45% chance of keeping it if we have the 3rd worst record, 56% chance if we have the 2nd worst record, and 64% chance if we have the worst record. Those are decent odds for each slot. Assuming we get any one of those picks we could probably trade up and get Simmons when it's all said and done.

    • @brendonsanders4522

    This mix is doing him a big disservice. Maybe the most amazing thing about this guy is the degree to which he's ambidextrous. Count how many times he uses the left hand in this mix, just 2 jumpshots. Elite is enamored with dunking, and that's not the strength of his game. Obviously he's an elite athlete, but he's much, much more than that. Now go check out the Home Team Hoops mix to get a better sample.
    Dude is a real player.

    dude got handles so well....who cares shootings? he's still young, shooting will improve in the future. you can just dribble to the rim and dunk it. and also he can read games, his passing is as good as some guards

    Ben Simmons is up to 6'10" 240lbs. Insane for a 19 year old who is looking to be a SF in the NBA. Check out his DraftExpress page, they have some combine stats on him from LSU. Insane results. If the results from his LSU combine are true there's no reason why this kid can't be a legit superstar in the NBA.

    man these mix tapes, with all these dunks make him look slow and more like big man thats why people comparing him to Anthony davis. Yall need to watch him play for real, this guys so fcking skilled and is actually really quick and agile. His literally a 6'10 point guard.

    • @nicholsdeshan
      @nicholsdeshan 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kinda see a little tmac n him I think he will ply sf in the NBA because of his ball handling skills.

    • @theophilust279
      @theophilust279 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      DeShan Nichols yeh i think He'll start games at sf but will play point and pf on D at times in the game. i do see some resemblance to tmac but i think he'll be a better passing paul george. george and simmons have same wingspan, height, same level of athleticism, both can handle the ball like guards.

    • @nicholsdeshan
      @nicholsdeshan 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea he is a very good passer did you see the pass he did at the McDonald's all american game. The only thing is how consistent is his jumper.

    • @theophilust279
      @theophilust279 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DeShan Nichols he actually has a really good jumper but yeh in games its very inconsistent. His too indecisive to shoot so when he does shoot its not natural and has no conviction but it'll come in time with confidence

    I'm 5'9 and played on a 9 foot rim last week. I conclude that basketball is actually pretty easy if you're very tall.
    With the lowered rim I was playing as the equivalent of a 6'9 player and I basically couldn't miss from anywhere within 10 feet.
    The only legitimately hard bit about scoring in the NBA is guys who shoot from 15+ feet.
    The rest is very easy. Due to their height

    • @lukedougherty2533
      @lukedougherty2533 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats you couldn't miss playing on a 9ft rim in your driveway. You're dumb as shit and still wouldn't even be good if you were 6'9"

    • @beingjoshmc
      @beingjoshmc 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +CJ Mooney Basketball is the easiest of the major professional sports by a pretty wide margin, and yes, it is ridiculously easy if you are tall and reasonably athletic. The thing that makes it hard is playing against other tall and athletic people.

      +Carlos Minez Honestly, they can draft him even if Philly is #1, but only if a.) they select someone like Brandon Ingram instead, and b.) they don't go down any further than the #2 pick, and honestly, if Phoenix continues playing like they're currently playing with Eric Bledsoe out, I wouldn't say that's a guarantee anymore either.

    I never watched enough T-Mac, Odom, Gay or any of the other comparisons, but I would say his style of play is most comparable to LeBron's, for player I have seen enough of. Not saying he is as good.
    I saw Ben play with LSU in Sydney in August, and for a lot of the time he played in a similar fashion as how LeBron played in the Finals this year; one out driving/making decision to kick or score.
    I just watched some LeBron high school highlights, so using HS as the comparable level I would say this:
    1)LeBron looks more athletic, especially in terms of jumping, Simmons has a burst of speed which is as quick as LeBron.
    2)LeBron plays at 100% all the time where as Ben's play is more efficient/lazy/laid back/kept in reserve; you choose.
    3)Along with point 2), LeBron is a better help/close out defender because of his effort/jumping.
    4)Simmons plays more fluidly, keeping his energy toned down.
    5)Simmons has just a good handle, if not better.
    6)Simmons is a better passer.
    7)LeBron's playmaking is more based off being athletic, Simmons is based more off passing and reading the situation. Maybe Mount Verde played more a team game?
    8)LeBron was a better pure scorer.
    Even though people say Simmons plays like LeBron but in a bigger body, I would say Simmons actually plays more like a pure point guard than LeBron. That's not to say Simmons doesn't get a load of buckets inside from just being taller/bigger than the guys he played against.
    As an aside:
    As good as LeBron is, he seems to lake the fluidity of someone like Michael, or to put it this way I would say in terms of smooth foot work and fluid movements Olajuwon is closer to Michael than LeBron is to Michael. The way LeBron moved in high school is more like Charles Barkley on a fast break.

      +edmel144 Actually from seeing limited highlights of Magic and hearing about how he played, maybe he is a better comparison for Simmons than LeBron, in terms of style of play.
      I should try and watch more old basketball, that I never saw because it was before my time. I'd love to see whole games of Russell and the like from the 60's.

    He's going to need to work on his game a lot when he gets to the NBA.. Lebron was way better than him at his age. This kid has more swag then game. Lebron in high school had swag too but Lebron seemed more hungry. This kid acts like he has it all already. Is it just me or does anybody else see it that way? If this kid had a lil bit of Kevin Garnett personality in him he would be better i think.

      He talks too much to his opponents after he gets and 1s and dunks. At this point, he should be humble and learn to RESPECT the people he plays with, teammate or opponent.

      JNike P Kobe, MJ, KG... all are some of the cockiest players ever, but I don't see how that affected their game. It might actually have helped their game. If you are a nice guy it takes the intimidation factor away and people are going to want to try you i.e. Dwight Howard. Can you imagine Dwight with the heart of Nate Robinson?
