You must not move the chainsaw up and down like you do; it's not a handsaw. Let the chain do its work, it's designed to do so. And use protective clothing and gear, you're gonna end up with a leg or an arm severely injured. Although it is not a petrol powered saw, it still can do serious damage to you. And take a look at some really instructive videos on TH-cam, you might learn something about the proper way how to use a chainsaw!!!!

@@magpie6648 Thank you! At first I thought it was funny; after a second view I was certain this guy would end up in hospital, so I tried to give him some advice. I really hope he took some time to learn. Thank you for your words, I do appreciate them. 👍👍😎😎

Those spikes are there for a reason. You're meant push it ind the wood and secure the saw with it, and put some torque on the wood. This-way the blade just bounces and skips all the time.

Totally speechless after watching the video and owning one of these saws. The saw is brilliant for the price but the operator here obviously has never used one before! I decided to buy one of these for nothing more but convenience and not to upset my neighbours with my petrol saw. And for the money and with a three year warranty it was a no brainer. Used properly it really does perform and handle very well, seems well balanced and well constructed and should last for years to come if looked after properly. Definitely recommend one to anyone for domestic use and the trade.

I don't like piling on people but every time I see one of these videos he's either using the tools incorrectly or dangerously. Gonna end up either breaking the tool, injuring himself or both.
What he gets up to in his own home is his business but when he shows it on TH-cam others may well follow the example & get hurt.
Read the instructions, watch tutorial videos if necessary & always operate power tools like they have the potential to amputate or mangle a limb, because the do!

The machine is good, but the after-sales service of Grizzly (Parkside's supplier for this machine) is awful. Many parts are out of stock. As an example, the chain tension rod breaks after a few uses and you have to buy a replacement kit for 20 € (with button, etc.), that cost 1/3 of the price of a new machine! (for a small rod of 13 cm, diameter, 5mm not left, i.e. less than 1 €) but as there is no stock, nor re-supply planned, your machine may only be used a few times until tension rod breaks and then stay for long in your basement…. unless you know how to make it yourself. If so : "hello", otherwise better go away and choose more expensive chainsaw thus far more reliable.

Grizzly? It's not the supplier of anything. It's just a brand name company. I see two saws with the Grizzly brand, one of them is the same saw I have from Hecht, but it exists in at least half a dozen brands like Fieldmann, Grünman, Scheppach, etc. Probably produced by the same chinese factory.
Lidl Parkside stuff is supposedly produced by Einhell.

I made the chain tension rod myself, it is not a difficult part for a lathe operator

Bro, no hate but you are holding the chainsaw in the most exhaustive way possible. You clearly have no experience. Not a good tutorial.
Pls tell me: Did you had chain ol inside?

You can see the chain oil level window best at around 3:00 and it looks bone dry to me. Sounds like it too.
