- Eddie My Love (Collins-Davis-Ling) by The Teen Queens
A #3 R&B hit by the sister duo, and one of three versions to reach the ‘pop’ top-15 (along with the Fontane Sisters and Chordettes).
THE 1956 HITS ARCHIVE - here in one place, a good-quality library of original-release-version best-sellers and songs that made an impact that were either released or enjoyed a major chunk of their popularity within the calendar year 1956 (some were recorded in 1955).
best version by far
Oh so good. I’ve always loved oldies. I was born in 58 after this song, but I put together records for K-tel. The compilation records if anybody remembers them I started when I was 22 years old. Now 65. Still listening to Oldies 🎶🎶

MY SONG ❤🌹
FOR you ED AND IRENE: THEY WERE TOGETHER FOR 50 YEARS. LOVED THIS SONG!
Sometimes you get a song that stands out from the rest simply because of the sincerity found in the vocals.
One of my all time favorite 50s songs!!
this is the best version by far
you, sir, are a pop music maven. thanks for this.
Not heard for along time still a beautiful song
By far the very best version of this song ever , it's shocking that there are so few comments .
Just wait. It will eventually fill up with "eddie and Ritchie" comments lol
A classic American oldie!
ED-E My love
I like to be Eddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!🥰💖💥💥
Superb Doo wop , very atmospheric
Many yrs ago i had girl-friend her name was Veronica, but her Dad wanted a boy so He gave her the nickname of Eddie...PS she was a great dancer!
Love this song
Nice song
The late 50s had several versions of the same songs
American Graffiti
The Teen Queens , I wonder if they are still singing , they must be quite old ladies now I suppose.
Both died tragically and very young. One committed suicide and the other from drugs 😢.
@@garfieldmaloney3861 thanks for letting me know, very sad .
@@garfieldmaloney3861 Oh man, so sad. Never read up on them and thus didn't know. They were only 14 & 16 when they recorded this so by all rights they should be alive now.
Just listening to their very fine recording when reading your comment on the tragic circumstances of their premature passing . It did however give an added poignancy to the song while I was listening to it . Sadly , life although often beautiful , is often a fragile reality . @@garfieldmaloney3861
