- เจรียง หรือ จำเรียง ภาษาเขมรในสุรินทร์เรียกว่า จรีง หรือ จำรึ่ง เป็นการละเล่นพื้นเมืองที่เน้นการขับร้องมากกว่าการร่ายรำ มักจะใช้กลอนสดเป็นส่วนใหญ่ เนื้อร้องเป็นภาษาเขมร บรรยายถึงสภาพทางภูมิศาสตร์ ประวัติศาสตร์ เหตุการณ์ในอดีตและปัจจุบัน การเรียกเจรียง จะเรียกตามชนิดของเครื่องดนตรีที่เล่นประกอบการเจรียง เช่น ถ้าใช้ปี่ที่มีชื่อว่า เป์ยจรวง เป่าประกอบเรียกว่า เจรียงจรวง ถ้าใช้ซอบรรเลงประกอบเรียก เจรียงตรัว และหากนำเจรียงไปขับขานกับการละเล่นพื้นบ้านอะไรก็จะใช้คำว่า เจรียงนำการละเล่นนั้น ๆ ซึ่งการละเล่นของชาวไทยเชื้อสายเขมรในอีสานใต้และตามแนวชายแดนติดกับประเทศกัมพูชาจะเน้นในการขับร้อง (เจรียง) มากกว่าการร่ายรำ มีทั้งเจรียงที่ร้องโต้ตอบเป็นคู่ ๆ ระหว่างชายหญิง และมีการร้องกันเป็นกลุ่ม ซึ่งมีผู้นำขับร้อง เรียกว่า หัวหน้า หรือ พ่อเพลง และแม่เพลง อาจจะมีลูกคู่คอยร้องรับในจังหวะ เช่น เจรียงซันตูจ เจรียงตรด เจรียงเบริน เป็นต้น ปัจจุบัน การละเล่นเจรียงเกือบทุกประเภทที่เคยได้รับความนิยมในอดีตได้ถูกหลงลืม และลดความสำคัญไปจากสังคมชาวไทยเขมร จนแทบจะไม่มีให้ชมให้ฟังอีกเลย
