This is the new style until I can improve live streaming quality. What should I do next with the GM-800?
@@GearSounds personally I do like the live streams too. Might I suggest trying a livestream now and again in the portrait format. It shows up as people scroll in their shorts feed and it’s a great way to get new viewers to your channel. If you haven’t done one of those yet give it a shot!
I had to investigate to see if you were right. Overall, I'll do live streams when I can fix the popping issue. Until then I'll have to just upgrade my equipment. Live streaming on TH-cam in portrait mode does not automatically lead to more views by appearing in the Shorts feed. TH-cam Shorts and live streams are treated as distinct content types on the platform. TH-cam Shorts are short-form videos that are typically up to 60 seconds long and are intended to be watched on mobile devices. They have their own dedicated feed called the Shorts shelf, which is tailored to quick, vertical viewing experiences, similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels. Live streams, on the other hand, are real-time broadcasts that can be streamed in either portrait or landscape mode. While streaming in portrait mode might be more mobile-friendly and potentially more engaging for mobile users, it doesn't necessarily influence whether the live stream will appear in the Shorts feed. Live streams have their own sections on TH-cam, like the live tab on a channel or the live section in the subscriptions feed. To increase viewership for live streams, focus on promoting your stream ahead of time, engaging with viewers during the stream, optimizing stream titles, descriptions, and tags, and choosing the right time to go live when your audience is most active.
Enjoy your videos, I’m a long time Roland/Boss guitar synth owner. Question about your G & L guitar,… how do you have the gk5 mounted ? It appears the controller is on your bridge as opposed to mounting on the strap pin. Your video mentions a bit.
That's a great question, I actually mounted my GK5 pickup with a custom 3D printed part that I designed myself. I am selling this in my store and it will be listed this week if you are interested. Next week's video will be a detailed breakdown of this 3D printed part. It's going to work for a number of different guitars. I put that piece of plastic double-sided stick tape on the pick guard and then I double-sided stick tape the pickup to the plastic piece. Previously the screws were causing the pickup to be tilted and it would constantly fall off during performances.
What do you mean by the patch code exactly? These scenes were custom made by me on previous episodes of the show. Some are modifications of previous settings And when that is the case the name of the patch that it comes from remains the same if that is helpful.
You're welcome, if you have any other questions let me know. I hope I earned your subscription and if you do happen to buy anything please use the link in my description. It won't cost you anything extra and it helps me out.
Oh yeah! That's my Hauser effect, inspired by Total recall. All you have to do is go to the tanhauser setting, turn chromatic OFF. Turn polyphonic ON, add reverb at max, add a delay, add a mild portamento and bam! You have my special tanhauser effect. I might have modified it a little beyond that but that's going to get you 99% of the way there. Try it and let me know.
Hi i just bought a SY-300. I got two questions. 1 - Can we use all of the 5 (Wave, LFO etc.) in the same time in the 3 OSC ? 2 - I made a sound and i realy like it and i just want to had a simple slow attack. Like a PAD sound. Where can i find it ? Thanks for all of your videos. Very helpful.
I don't actually own the SY300 nor am I familiar with its capabilities I know that the SY200 is essentially the SY300 with less functionality. Outside of that though I'm not sure what you mean by adding a simple and slow attack. I know that the attack can be adjusted in the GM 800 but I'm not sure how to do it in the SY300. As far as adding a second voice I don't know that the SY300 can do that. There are so many functions of that pedal though it might be possible. It's been a long time since I used it. Fun fact, the SY300 was the first gear sounds video but it appeared on my music channel. It was more popular than any of my music so I decided to start this channel. That was back in 2017
Yes it does track better and it if you set it up right it can sometimes feel almost perfect. It is all about how you set it up and how you choose to play. That being said no matter what, the GK5 will always track better than the GK3, I just miss the extra features like volume and track switching on the pickup.
@@GearSounds Fantastic I appreciate the reply I was wondering when Boss /Roland was going to come out with another guitar synthesizer I must have missed the release of this one not sure if I'm ready to Shell out another large amounts on a the new synth processor yet but I'm definitely interested in the gk5
The Gk5 Is only usable on this synthesizer and please take it from me when I say that this is better than any other synthesizer that I've ever played. I have tried them all as of now since I go to the NAMM show. This by far beats everything. Feel free to go through some of my older episodes. The thumbnails with my face have high quality audio. I definitely think it's worth pulling the trigger if you use any amount of synthesizer or if you actually like to play guitar a lot. It really is that good to me. Please do use my link in the description to buy the pickup if you do happen to buy it. It won't cost you anything extra.
@@GearSounds excellent feedback man I really do appreciate it so valuable to know exactly what I'm dealing with and knowing that you've already tried it all and this is where it's at I'm so grateful for that bit of information usually I would sell the older equipment to upgrade not sure if I want to get rid of the gr 55 yet *but now I definitely know I'm suddenly in the business of purchasing a GM 800 in the future thank you.
I would sell the GR55 to get the GM 800 if I'm honest. It's a far better machine and yes it's more complex but it's far more capable. Are you going to have to learn a completely new language to get different sounds out of it and is the screen smaller? Yes. Are the sounds higher quality, more rich and is the tracking better? Yes. It is worth it and I'm happy to help you make the jump. Nice format mate:) looks and sounds great:)
Thank you ERM, I'm glad you're enjoying the return to form. I should have went back to high quality video sooner.
