Just thougjt it was interesting but the print on that red jacket is of a native american fertility deity named kokopelli he is usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player. That symbol is found ALL over new mexico. Its actually painted on the maternity ward at the hospital i work at. Like at the waiting room hes in a mural 💀 but it is a cool jacket 👌 i loved that look on you!
I wear my flannels buttoned all the way up with black skinny jeans and my doc martens to work. All day, every day 😂 sometimes with an oversized chunky cardigan
Watching this I feel so inspired, unfortunately I live in Italy and we don't have as many thrift stores as I wish.. but it's possible to buy second hand :) Thank you for your inspiration tips and motivation, means a lot !
There is the Share ...i live in milano for ex there is one in viale umbria ...the one next to me always have new things with the tags still on ! Last time there were geox and twin set 😍😮😮😮😮
I love flannels! The odd thing though I've noticed it doesn't really matter where I shop for clothes, all the flannels in the women section/designed for women are not good or nice looking since I like them a bit oversized and comfy + there are not that many flannels for women :( but when I go to men's section I'm in flannel heaven, love the colours and styles + they fit me just the way I want it to be
The print on the red jacket is Kokopellis! They are fertility deity’s. They are from the Native American culture and are really common in southern New Mexico, where I’m from!
The red patterned teddy coat and the tan polyester/suede blazer/coat!! I know you were unsure about them, but they looked awesome on you and they're so unique you should keep them.
For the past 3 years my mom & I go thrifting every Black Friday! It’s the only place we go! Glad we’re not the only ones! Lol. They offer a 50% off coupon for the first 50 ppl for a future trip as well as 50% off of $30!
the pattern on the red jacket is actually really cool I think. The little guy on it is kokopelli, a native american fertility/enrichment deity. I recognized it immediately from the grand canyon :)
Can you do a part 2 to this that's like a lookbook with some of these pieces??? I really love your style and I think it's so cool that you've given up fast fashion!! I haven't completely stopped just yet Bc I'm still in school and I just don't have a ton of time to go through a few thrift stores to find just a plain pair of leggings or jeans that fit right but I HAVE been making an effort to keep it to the basics and buy more shirts and jackets and flannels and dresses and stuff like that from thrift stores Bc I saw your video on FF and it really inspired me:) This is long and not well thought out but I love what you're doing and I think it's great that you're raising awareness about a subject that can be kind of taboo
The banana Republic sweater you should cut it at the current hem (removing the peplum) and then you have room for a new hem. I think a raw hem would not suit it
I still wear flannel all the time lmao, any trend that’s kind of androgynous I hold on to for dear life also your hair colour looks so cool next to your white shirt!! you make me want red hair for sure
Your iffy pieces are great finds, and they look really good on you! I own 16 flannels, and have no plans on retiring them. They are a part of my personal style, so it doesn't matter if others are wearing them.
i feel the same about flannels every time i go to put on one of my flannels i question if i should for some reason! but i will never throw them out, need to get back into wearing them !
Hey Sarah! I’ve been a viewer for a while. Love your thrift hauls. I know you said in the last thrift video that you don’t often wear green. I think a hunter/forest green would look awesome on you. Sort of the texture and style of that cropped orange sweater. Black leather jacket and black booties...amazing!! ❤️
Loved the vid! Please do them every year! I love the fuzzy orange top the fabric reminds me of a red sweater I had when I was a kid that I loved! I wish I was your size I love shopping on poshmark!
Totally not related but do you happen to have a video that explains the jobs you can get that can help you make a living for yourself while you’re working towards becoming a psychologist? If you don’t have a video like that could you please make one because I’m concerned about going to school to become a clinical psychologist because I don’t know what kind of jobs I could get to support myself before I get the PhD. Thanks
Could you maybe do another video showing how you alter things like making things into crop tops etc, even if they’re really simple they’re some of my favourite videos.
you look so good in white omg!! u said it washed you out but i was living. ps that red teddy coat is SICK. imagine with some black jeans and chunky black boots
I have only two flannels cause I can't find them in my thrift stores, but I've noticed people rearly wear them these days. However I love them and wear them and don't care about what others wear or think, as I'm not huge fan of the current trends anyways, but I don't give crap to people who love them,soooo... They'll never die for me
New to your channel, loving it. Btw, the quote on your mug could very well be from The Handmaids Tale, the book came out in the 1980’s and I’m pretty confident this was in the book too.
Great video! You found some really cool treasures ^_^ I definitely still buy and wear flannels, I feel about it kind of like you do- but I don’t care because I love them too much! I really like the burnt orange sweater with the mock neck worn with the zipper down, super cute and I like the long length xoxo
the anthropology sweater shrank in the wash that’s why it’s so tiny for XL. you can tell from the texture
scares me hearing people saying things are too odd, wear what you want!!!!!!!
Okay no buy low key the red cocopele jacket is super cute!
The print on the red jacket is a kokopelli. It's common to see in Arizona
Justine DeMarco yes i have so many statues of this!!!
I was going to comment that. I live near Sedona and felt cool knowing what the print was.
@@QueenJaneway yes. Honestly I don't know either but since I live in the Southwest I see the kokopelli alllll the time
@@QueenJaneway In Arizona the Hopi Tribe sees the Kokopelli as a fertility god.
Or New Mexico. We see that everywhere lol
Flannels are bomb ! I like to cut up band tee logos and put them on the back of my flannels to change them up a bit :)

Love your thrift hauls. Honestly the same as a "new" haul to me because its not like I buy anything youtubers show anyways lol.
The red jacket looks amazing on you!!! You should def keep it
Personally I will always wear flannel. I don’t usually follow what’s trendy, I just wear what I like.
LOVE that long orange suede jacket 😱
Ikr! I cannot believe that Sarah is iffy about it. I t looks great on her too!
The handmaids tale (the book) is from ‘85 so the mug could still be inspired by it..
xDreamerNadi i was hoping to find this comment
that cropped teddy jacket is SO RAD
This Black Friday I bought nothing !
literally same
same lol
Honest AF the only reason I bought anything was because I was at work and I got 50% of the items in the store I work for as an employee
Watching this I feel so inspired, unfortunately I live in Italy and we don't have as many thrift stores as I wish.. but it's possible to buy second hand :) Thank you for your inspiration tips and motivation, means a lot !
fellow Italian here, and having close to no thrift stores around me is awful! but luckily there are a few good ones here and there c:

i would TOTALLY rock that red teddy jacket
You keep saying "is theis weird" but weird is good!
Those black Calvin Klein jeans look sooo.. good on you! And that blue denim shirt can look cute under sweaters with the color peeking out :)
Flannels are alive and well in the Midwest, I assure you. I just wore one today with jeans and knee-high boots
I went thrifting on Black Friday this year. I had a blast and found some great stuff!

I wish you were posting on depop! I hate poshmark, idk why I just like depop more
Jackie sainze poshmark also doesn’t ship internationally, while I think depop does.
@@bethmccall7581 also shipping is expensive! It's like 6.25 for a shirt, the shirts are like 11 dollars. I might as well buy it new
Jackie sainze I tried using posh mark and I didn’t get it. It was confusing when I was trying to look for certain sellers
@@gabimaza780 yeah it's not easy to use in my opinion

It's already winter where I live in new england! :( missing the foliage
I can’t believe I missed all the cat items on your Poshmark. You had some great ones.
I wonder if changing out the buttons on the white cap sleeve blouse would be a good idea.
