Thank you again Ryan. Your videos help people like me who are disabled the opportunity to see things that I other wise would never be able to see. My God bless you and your family.
Ryan what a wonderful video and adventure this was. The views were absolutely stunning and your camera work and editing was phenomenal!! Thanks for taking us along on this adventure. I never would have been able to do this hike so it was so great to see Mt LeConte Lodge and the views from up there. It was beautiful! What a wonderful Creator we have. The Creation revelas His Glory. Praise God for giving you the strength and for protecting you on this adventure. I really enjoyed this the editing effects and music were also wonderful. Well done brother.
9:30 something I always will love about the hiking community is the friendly greetings and it always sounds like everyone is actually happy to see each other and enjoy nature together. There’s something about being outside that just makes people more friendly.
Glad you got a chance to do it in some good weather! The first time me and Rachel went up This route there was a tornado a few counties over and we got hit with a really bad storm on the way up 😂 We tuft it out and when we got to the top the clouds opened up and it was beautiful! I think rainbow so far has been my favorite though. I think you should make more videos like this. Most people only know the Smokies for Gatlinburg and pigeon forge This shows them the real beauty of the area.
Glad the weather worked out too and didn't have TORNADO WEATHER! I'd love to try Rainbow Falls Trail someday! We plan to document more hikes like this Nick & Rachel!
Thank you so very much for allowing us, the viewers of your channel, to follow you on this amazing adventure! Being a disabled person, I can only dream of making the ascent of Mount LeConte to see the amazing and beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains and to revel in the joy of Gods creation. You are an inspiration to me and please keep up the incredible work you do!
Me and my husband did the Alum Cave trail up to Mt. Leconte on our honeymoon and it was amazing. We remember all these spots. It started raining on our way back down and let me tell you those rocks were slick. Thanks for the video. You got footage we didn’t!!!
All I can say is WOW. You did an excellent job! The hike you did isn't for everyone, but you rocked it. Thank you for sharing your journey! The views were breathtaking. Maybe you could make it a yearly hike? 🤗💙🙏🏻
I've watched several videos of the hike up to Mount LeConte and can safely say this was the best one I have seen. Thank you for taking the time to video your hike!
Thanks, Ryan!! As someone who is not fond of heights, my heart was pounding a couple of times when the path was not very wide and a cliff was too close for comfort! This path is on my bucket list and hope to do one day! God bless you and your family!
We just finished a week in Gatlinburg. We were able to have new adventures because of your videos. I'm a faithful viewer in Mississippi. We visited Mynatt park & Roaring fork trail. If you hadn't made that video we wouldn't have known about it, so thank you for all the time & effort. Love your content! God bless you and your family.
We watched this in the cabin, over breakfast, on our last day here; here in this place I can only describe as “God Breathed!” It was & is great!! Quite possibly our favorite one you have done! I really envy you. I have always wanted to do that once but never got it done so I had to do it virtually with you. Just awesome & very beautiful. We appreciate the experience. I thought I would be tired after that but strangely enough, I do not feel tired at all🤔😆. Be well🙏🏻.
I found this video quite helpful! I hiked this trail a couple days ago and it was just awesome, even though clouds obscured my view the entire time. And totally understand the excitement about seeing “the“ bridge at the end!
Late spring would be wonderful with the wildflowers and y'all should stay the night & cut that hike in 1/2 while spending magical time up top! Excellent adventure Ryan & Ladies, thanks! Grabbing a cancelled spot is easy if you are flexible on date, during a less busy time.
Nicely done Ryan, I hope my knees will let me do that hike, it's something I've wanted to see with my own eyes for a long time. Thank you for sharing your perspective on the hike, it looks like the weather was nearly perfect.
I'm a lover of God's beautiful canvas both animals and the beauty of the Smoky Mountains National Park and so, Yes I did enjoy the hike. I would definitely watch another video like this one. Have a blessed evening. 😊
Great video Ryan! I enjoyed all the video clips along the way up and back down. I've only made it to Arch Rock but hope to make it to the lodge one day. Loved your choice of music for this video. Glad you got this experience. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm sure your equipment added extra weight. 🥾👍
Thank you Ryan, this is one of my favorite videos you have done. Definitely on my bucket list. I just have to talk my wife into it. My teens would absolutely love it. You are the best, God bless you and your family!!!
wow! Thank you for this. I'm heading to the smoky mountains the 3rd week of December. I sure hope I can hike all of these trails with my wife. I'm taking her on a surprise trip for Christmas to the smoky mountains.
Thank you for taking us along another adventure. You should come up here to the Tri-Cities area and enjoy some hiking at Buffalo Mountain, Bays Mountain, Rocky Fork State Park, and Roan Mountain/Round Bald.
Hahaha! I was going to comment that I couldn't do this, but I will do the hike up to preferred parking at Dollywood!! You beat me to it. Thanks for the beautiful views!
When I lived in Sevierville and did some hikes in the Smokies, I always had a small backpack with flashlights, umbrella, snacks, bandaids and maybe a few other things. I've been on a trail in the dark and the roots crisscross the path. It's easy to stumble and fall. I did have a flashlight, but sometimes I would turn it off, just to see how dark it was. It is a good idea to get an early start to hike in the mountains. Rain can come up suddenly which I found out on a hike in Elkmont.
Wow Ryan that was awesome. I been wanting to try hiking to the top. I just dont like hiking alone being type 1 diabetic. I have to be smart about things I do. Thanks for taking us with you on an amazing hike.
My gosh you all got to do it on a perfect blue sky day. That makes ALL the difference view wise. My first ever visit to the Smokies I decided to do the biggest baddest hike there was…..Mt LeConte. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of narrow spaces and sweaty palm moments. However, that view and the pride for conquering the mountain is indescribable. Think it was about 8 hours round trip for this first timer. Another lesser known hike yet just as strenuous and amazing is Mt Cammerer. Charlie’s Bunion has the most terrifying views. And last but not least, Bullhead Trail. Wraps around the front of a mountain to the back and you will walk thru areas that the 🔥 took out sadly. The ridges you will be hiking are the large ones that can be seen from the Carlos Campbell overlook.
Wow thank you Ryan. We did this back in 2019 and loved it. Unfortunately my hip won’t let me redo it. I really enjoyed seeing it again. Don’t feel to bad about the tshirt we did not know it was cash only🥲. My sweet husband had one made for me for Christmas 😀.
Beautiful, just beautiful. I remember I was on a beautiful hike here in South Carolina once to a large waterfall and there was a pathway for if you wanted to slide down but I remember I got drug into the wrong one, but I ended out fine and only with a bruised knee.
Thanks Ryan for the great video. I hope I can do this one day.....I got a lot of training I will have to do for this. This video does give me a lot to look forward to when that day comes for my turn.
Thanks for this great video of hiking to LeConte Lodge via Alum Cave Trail. Such an incredible opportunity. Way to be awesome and enjoy God’s creation. Great adventure!
I can’t do it 😳🫣 so screaming to higher up levels. Because I not look good because legally blind. So beautiful views downtown PF and Gatlinburg too. That’s congratulations Ryan made it top mountain. 👍🏻
Thanks Ryan. You did a great job. I could never had done it that quick, if I could have done it at all. Thanks for sharing and showing some of God's beautiful creations and scenery. Glad you did it and glad you had a safe and great time. You freaked me out when you used that special camera that made it look like you were on one little piece of rock with some trees and it looked like the sky was all around you and if you had stepped wrong you would have been a goner. How did you do that? You scared me with that photo. Thanks again. God Bless. 🙏❤️
Nice hike! Glad you went to Myrtle Point. But you made a glaring error. You mentioned going to Alum Cave a couple of times. Sorry, but you did not! You went under Alum Cave Bluff! Alum Cave is actually two man-made caves. With your back to the bluff, look across the valley in front of you and then look at the mountain side to the right of the valley. You can see two square black holes in the mountain side. These are the actual caves where the Yankees mined alum (for making gunpowder). If you are lucky, you can see a family of peregrine falcons established by a group from the Univ. of Tenn. flying around. Years ago there were still remnants of wagons used to haul the alum scattered just below the bluff. Take the hike again and look for the caves and falcons this time!
How much do you know about the history of Mt. Leconte? I bought a book at a book sale at the Sevierville library titled Hunting Wildlife With Camera and Flashlight. The inscription inside the front cover is "Jack Huff...LeConte Lodge.... Gatlinburg Tenn." He was the caretaker there many years ago. The earliest copyright is 1898, with later copyright dates of 1906 and the last one being 1935, with others in between. It was written by George Shiras. The National Geographic Society published the book.
Have to be honest here. You know it just pains me a bit to see the view counts on this one! Very few, if any of these big attractions, would be here if The Great Smoky Mountain National Park was not here. But yet if you put the word Gatlinburg or Dollywood in the video title it gets 3 maybe 4x the views?? I know it is just the reality of the way things are but it is a sad reality to me that the reason all of these other places of amusement exist, and are sustainable, does not get the recognition it deserves🙁. While it is a reality of today’s social priorities I don’t have to like it!! The Park is the reason for everything else folks!! Just needed to get that off my chest☺️🙏🏻. This video deserves 50k views on the beauty, the majesty & the marvel of that view. Better than any roller coaster I have ever been on! Breathtaking!!!!

Wow! I'm blown away, ⛰️ but I wanted to see what the 👕 T-shirts looked like.🤔 More hiking 🚶♂️ videos please, this was awesome. 👍
It was a basic shirts and limited on sizes. They were celebrating their 99th year. I'll have to go back up and get a 100 year t-shirt!
9:30 something I always will love about the hiking community is the friendly greetings and it always sounds like everyone is actually happy to see each other and enjoy nature together. There’s something about being outside that just makes people more friendly.
I’d rather deal with foot traffic on a trail over car traffic in a city any day! 😁

The observation tower on Clingman’s Dome is just a “tower.”
“Dome” refers to the mountain, itself.
