Glad to see a new video uploaded Chendo! I never played on Maui, but I played on the island of Molokai, on the Kaluakoi Golf course and the wind is brutal, and I play all the time in Kansas and that Hawaii wind gave me fits, so you did very well !!!!!
I liked when you said, "that could be really really good" when you hit your 4 hybrid. That was good positive self talk before that shot in that instance. That was such a great eagle you made! It was good to see your parents out with you enjoying the course as well. I enjoyed hearing you have conversations with your mom. It was good how your mother reminded you to keep a positive attitude. Cailyn, the difference between the driving range and on the playing course, is that the driving range, for the most part, is thoughtless. that's where you work on your swing to become the same when you hit the course...thoughtless, which enables you to concentrate on the shot at hand, not the swing 😉

Cailyn, I am no good and i love to watch yor videos. Your point is so true, i like my range practice But when I play with a friend it takes me a few holes, to shake loose from the range. I hit off Matts
It's a pretty normal nervous reaction....to rush the swing....out of synch with the body turn. That's how you get your shots to the right. For me, I tend to pull the ball to the left instead, in that situation. It's just a concentration issue about timing the swing and aim....getting through the nervous reaction. As you learn to go through the reaction, it will fade.
Just found your channel. Enjoyed the video! Your Mom is awesome!! I just finished reading Izzy Justice's book GYRA Golf and it explains what is going on in our crazy brains and gives tips (and funny enough, your mom did a lot of what he suggests so she's a natural mental coach!) 🙂

With long grass (4th Hole, 2nd shot) Cailyn ya gotta chop down on top of the ball like your sending it to the center of the earth. You gotta have everything in sync and must be strong in the arms & wrists to attempt to reach the green from where you are. Better to take your medicine and bale out to the nearest point of the fairway. There's no way taking a sweep shot at it coz it's just gonna freeze the club as soon as it enters it.Great game girl!
Don't judge Cailyn's game by this older video. I've seen some of her more recent videos and it's obvious she's been working on her game. She has effortless power despite what looks like a relatively short backswing. Lots of potential depending on how far she wants to take it. (she also has a very good putting touch)
