Max, I've been watching you for a few months now. I hope your customers are tipping you out in Georgia, if you were in NYC you'd be making money hand over fist in tips alone. Dude these vid's are making your HD shop more money because of your conscientious work ethic. Excellent work & videos. I would bring my bike to you if I lived closer to your shop because of these videos. This business needs more people like you man!!! Please keep it up...Thanks
Amazed how much is involved on these new Harley's. I watch can honestly say lots of technical work. My Shovelhead is easy. Took no time to remove my drag pipes and put staggered duals.
It's so nice to watch a video and read comments and not here people bitching because there's some stars and bars in the frame or on a customer's bike just started watching your channel recently and really liked it wound up watching all of your vids within a day awesome work
Lol, a week ago I had my rear brake light switch replaced on my 15 Dyna Street bob. Was still sticking at the front. Didn't matter much, as traded it for a Sport Glide today!
Bro...I just dropped the cha-ching on these headers to go with my Cobra NH's...was really hoping I could hear a before/after, but is all good! Love the vids JM, keep them rolling out!
It looks like Cobra has upped their game..I had a set back in 99 that were cheap and rattled like crazy. Took them off after about a year and went with V&H. In that case they were much better..
Hi regarding that problem with the brake light staying on because of the front master cylinder the little piston been stuck in and brake light staying on! I oiled mine rather really heaps to get it moving freely again but my bike is a 2014 fxsb ,it is a 6 year old ! I guess it's just normal (OH I was getting a security alarm light staying on !!) for down here in Melbourne Australia where our climate is 8 months of the year damp! Thanks for all the good info from your channel ,CHEERS MATE...AND MATES.
Exhaust leaks really do sound terrible. The exhaust bracket of the V&H Short Shots on my Dyna Street Bob cracked, so with the extra movement the nuts on the head pipes worked loose. I was on my way back home, and thinking this sounds engine related and expensive! Inspection showed the flange nuts were loose, but only later realized the rear bracket was cracked. Anyway all fixed, no leaks, no crap sounding bike
Had that problem with the brake lever on the 05 I had was two problems one it the plunger was sticking. Sprayed down with wd40 and worked it till my hand was numb. The other issue was apparently when I brought her in for servicing someone put the wrong brake fluid in the reservoir and the fluid congealed. Found that out when I got my friend to put on the pipes. Noticed the front brakes were squishy .
I looked yours up, those look better than the craftsman pair I had. My old pair the handles were flat instead of round. They dug into my hand like hell. Obviously when used correctly they were ok, but I also use them to compress brake pads, so...I like the snappy pair, though. There is no replacement for the proper tool!
True to the Proper Tool. Too many times not having the Correct Tool has caused problems. Something usually gets broken. Occasionally someone gets hurt. In some cases, Not disassembled/reassembled correctly.
On the topic of exhausts, I pick up a 2020 fat boy in a few days, what in your opinion is a great quality exhaust with a nice note. Here in Uk. Great content
I'm installing same set up. The problem I'm having is the o2 sensors are to small for new exaust??. Do I need to purchase separate hardware?. Great Video, the problem. Is you make it look so simple. GREAT Job!!!
Great channel. Quick question. I have a 2017 road king special with stage 4 kit already tuned from Harley. If I put aftermarket headers. Do I need to get it re-tuned? Harley already installed Vance and Hines slip ons
I know sound there is different from on devices but next time you get some one going from neighbor haters to a different set of pipes it would be cool to here in comparison. J S.
Had plans to change my exhaust to a crossover system like the one you showed us. Had a friend that had some Vance&Hines pipes removed from his road glide to install race pipes . He sold them to me and installed them on the 05 road king had. Made a world of difference in the sound and performance of that old 88. They fit like they were made for it. Almost 9 months later I had that itch and traded it for my 19 fltrxs.
John another great video. My 2018 Sport Glide has the cobra neighbor hater, Harley upgrade air cleaner. Along with the pro street tuner. When slowing to a stop the engine speed up approx. 350-400 rpm. It stays at that speed until coming to a complete stop. All the techs in the area say you have to use the stock muffler and factory stock download. Your thoughts and suggestions.
Hi there. Did an install on my 2017 FLHX. Installed cobra true duals. Everything was great. However 15 minutes into the test ride the back pipe starts leaking loudly. Back at garage it is clearly coming from the flange. What did I do wrong and what do I need to do to correct it? Thanks!
Chur bro all the way from New Zealand 👍🏽new to your channel and starting from the beginning, good shit 🤙🏽im glad to see im not the only that uses my milwakee electric ratshit as a final tightening hand ratchet too 😂
John, After doing the Pro Chamber install and running it, can you recommend it or are there better options for the M8? Thanks VERY MUCH for taking the time to do this stuff for us. It's a treat when a new video comes out.
John, first off thanks for your videos, time and great attitude much appreciated. I can’t seem to find your explanation of the chamber exhaust on the m8. I plan on a full Bassani exhaust for my stock 2017 FLHR and can’t decide on the true duals or the 2x2 they offer, I was wondering if you could offer up some advice.....again much appreciated please keep em coming. -Jim
yea, I definitely said that I would mention it, and never did! what a slacker, haha. the chamber exhaust does improve back pressure like a 2-1, but maintains a louder, more traditional sound than the 2-1. I should add, the numbers this pipe put up sucked balls. we've done another with a stage 4 build and it was a beast. It's just a lot of pipe for a stage 1 build. 2-1 is generally going to give you better, more useable power, but the looks and sound aren't always what someone might want.
I have installed many new header systems and always get my but kicked by the exhaust gaskets. They never fit right in the cylinder outlet and I always manage to crush one of them..... how about a how to on just those demonic pieces? Also, I like to use a decibel app before and after. May want to look into that. Thanks for the great videos!
There isn’t much to teach on exhaust gaskets. You walk it in as even as possible, and after you’ve done a few hundred of them, they still suck balls. One tech around here keeps a pair in the freezer. He pulls them from there. It helps a little bit, since it’s a metal gasket.
I probably should have. I did not take the baffles out. The whole job took about 6 hours. I’ve split it into 3 videos, still kinda learning what people want to see!
Man thanks for the vid but I'm having a bear of a time with matching up the crossover to the bracket on my 2018 with Cobra duals... everything is loose, the front exhaust seems as far in as it can be but when I try to match up the bracket I'm about 3/4 an inch out back still... any advice?
Just had a question I have a 2021 road glide 107 I was thinking of getting some slipons cobra neighbor haters but was looking at some videos and they say that they lose low and torque is that true thanks
Hey John I’m alittle confused on what to get ... I saw you wrote you liked the VH power duals but in another comment you said your favorite was the Rineharts . I have cobra 909s on stock headers but I wanted to go full exhaust.. my biggest concern is heat. I want the best pipe that steers the heat away for the passenger. I noticed the Rinehart extreme true duals go over the dipstick and around the under carriage but the VH and Rh slimline kinda route itself the same just like the cobra . Also if I go VH I can keep my cobras and if I don’t like them change them later . But I’m wanting to go the best route one time .. my buddy said the Rinehart extreme with the 4” is the way to go , with those I’d have to spend more , 500 bucks more and then I guess sell my cobra slip ons which I don’t mind doing as long as I’m doing the best for the task at hand .. what do u think ?btw it’s a 16 Rg 103
What's up with (what looks like) the dual outlets on the right side of the header where the muffler bolts up? At first I was thinking Cobra was genius and made their header dual flared so you could use 17 and newer mufflers AND 95-16 mufflers but, they don't say anything about it on their website. So something related to the performance maybe?
Honestly, it's probably got a lot to do with ease of production, but this does allow them to keep the same pipe diameter for longer, so I could also benefit performance slightly.
I swear I remember our Cobra rep telling us that you can use 95-16 mufflers on their new M8 head pipe as well, but can't remember for sure. Might have to call him up, or it's going to drive me crazy wondering. Haha
Ours came in after they were already available for order and I could almost swear I remember him telling us it doesn't say they fit, but they will... But I don't know why they wouldn't advertise both, you'd think they'd want to? But that inner outlet is fairly long, so maybe most slip-ons will fit but some will have an issue with the baffle hitting the end of the pipe before it can slide far enough on?
Really like your vids and want do this on my stock ‘17 Street Glide but I think according to you and others now: this customer’s factory powertrain warranty/ESP which could have been up to seven years is now voided. I know you made a vid on that too. Still... hope this customer knew in advance.
Back when the video was new, the computer wasn’t automatically voiding vins. ESP isn’t automatically void with aftermarket tuners, which is good. This particular customer has since traded in on a CVO, too.
Hey Max great video, I have a question. I have 15 RG special, cobra race pro exhaust, aftermarket air filter, and FP3 fuel pack already installed. Looking to get headers, cobra duals, Rhinehart slim, or Vance and Hines? I'm learning as I go, cant seem to understand the difference or is there really any difference? Thanks for the great content. .
Anthony Wright if you have a pro pipe not sure why you would want to change. However if you want duals I can vouch for the cobra power port duals. Much cheaper than Reinhard or v& h. And I got. Very good Tq & HP numbers on my 15 road king I have S&S stealth A/C , powervision tuner , Andrews 57 h cams , .30 head gaskets and had zippers do a CNC street port on the heads 👍 oh & sceaming Eagle street cannons Slip-On 108 hp & 116 tq
Another great video dude! Quick question, I know this bike had the Neighbor Haters on them. In your personal experience with the bikes you see come in, any opinion on best slip-on’s for the Milwaukee 8 Street Glides? I’m about to order the TAB Performance “BAM” Sticks with the Zombie baffles for my ‘17 SGS. Again, great videos John, really enjoy watching the stuff you put out there!
+Gibz 679 honestly I haven’t had much experience with slip ons on the M8s. Without engine work, there isn’t a huge difference in just slip ons, so get what you like the look/sound of. You’ll never feel the 2-3 hp difference while riding it anyway!
When changing out the exhausts on a new Harley, and upgrading to the stage 2 torque cam kit, would I have to stay with Screaming Eagle exhaust to stay within the manufacture warranty, or can I use a aftermarket manufactured exhaust?
I would ask the dealer. The motor company can deny warranty claims when aftermarket parts are used. Some dealers stick with that. Some dealers don’t care. I’ve never had the motor company ask about what exhaust is on the bike, so I’ve never told them...
john, im with Tom on the warranty issue....i have a 2017 road glide ultra that i have had the stage 1 kit installed and screaming eagle cannons....i since changed to neighbor haters and my head pipe is restricting my machine i know...i have to keep polishing it back up because of discoloration from the heat....i do have an esp from the dealer so what would that cause if i changed head pipe out? thanks for your help
Yeah, I got a question. What do we do with all the stock pipes and mufflers we remove from our new Harleys after installing a real exhaust? I got a garage full. Thanks
Hey bud I had a question. I got a 2018 FXBB , and I bought the 2 in 1 VH pro pipe but the bracket doesnt add up to the muffler because it bends the muffler away from the bike and doesnt sit flush with the header pipes. Have you had anyone with that issue come in ?
G'day JM, loving the channel and vids. Watching from Australia, my current ride is a 14 Street Glide. Have u fixed or come across loose shifter bushes that make your gear shifter rattle. Mines on has 20,000 kms on it and already loose. Would live to see a fix on that mate. Cheers Josh.
Constantly! It’s usually the bolt at the front most arm of assembly. It’s almost against the crankcase. It’s a 3/16” Allen head. Usually they loosen and then the shaft splines become damaged. If you grab a hold of the shift rod, and move the shift levers (heel and toe), you can tell it’s not as tight as it should be. A little L key won’t get it tight enough, but a ratchet with bit socket will! Grant it, it could be the bushings, but I’ve only replaced a a pair of those (1 bike), but I’ve tightened hundreds of the bolts mentioned. Let me know if this is the fix!
Spot on JM. It was loose. Yet when I took it to my dealer they just shook it and said it needed new bushes. I've tighted it adding loctite and also moved shifters to take up any left right slack and it's like new. Cheers mate.
Hey John” I was wondering if you ever heard the S&S Mk45 Slip on mufflers? Thinking of getting a pair in place of my Reinhartt’s for my FLHXSE!! Thoughts?
+Roadster FB SE exhaust is good to keep your warranty with no possible issue, but sound and cost wise, there are better options in my opinion. That said, I don’t think many options are out yet for the 18 softails.
Can you recommend an exhaust system for a 2012 Ultra? I don't want to set off car alarms or wake the neighbors and preserve my wife's hearing. But I also want to be able to take some grades my buddies are leaving me behind on. After a muffler upgrade, or even same time, I'd like to get a dyno tune OUTSIDE of my nanny state (California)
You definitely have to leave Cali for a tune! My absolute favorite touring pipe is V&H power duals. It's the pipe design that Cobra ripped off for their own Pro Chamber that's on this bike. I've had the best stage 1 numbers with that pipe, and the best numbers with varying degree of motor work, as well. With a stock engine, don't go over 4" on the mufflers, whatever brand you choose. the monster ovals and the 4.5" moves entirely too much air. You're still going to want some back pressure for that low end torque!
+John Rivera sound is improved for sure. Not as significant as muffler swaps. What you notice more than sound is power and less heat at the right leg when stopped (near the cat)
I don't know if anybody's ever asked you but I'm going to go ahead and ask so is there a reason why harleydavidson changed exhaust muffler sizes I'm touring bikes. so why is one larger than the other?
I have heard that guys have gutted the OEM pipe and lost low end torque. Have you also encountered that? if you don't have time to answer that's okay I know you're very busy thank you for all the videos you make.
There's been a lot of rumblings lately about voiding Harley's warranty if you change pipes. Just how far can you go? Air Filter, Pipes, Cats, Tuners, etc.? You don't have to answer if you don't want to wink wink nod nod
Yeh I just bought a '18 Heritage and even the parts guy at the dealership was telling me you're taking a risk by even putting slip ons on the bike. Really sucks cuz this bike sounds lame with stock mufflers. The Street Cannons he had on the floor didn't sound much different than stock.
John Maxwell I don’t usually comment on other channels, but I like yours. I’m a motovloger😀. Keep up the great content! Any who.... The Magnuson-Moss Act protects the consumer. Basically, HD or any vehicle manufacturer can not cancel any warranty because the consumer doesn’t use OEM parts. If damage occurs, the manufacture has to prove, without a doubt, the parts....in this case exhaust system....caused the damage. Only then can the manufacturer cancel the warranty. It has just occurred to me I should have replied to the person who asked you the question....I enjoy you channel 👍 if you feel like listening to a bumbling idiot on a bike, check my channel out.
Due to the EPA regs and “race use only” labels on exhausts, does the act still apply? I have heard of it, but not sure if it would actually work out for the average joe that can’t drop butt loads of dough on lawyers. Thanks for the comment, I’ll check your channel out, for sure. I am working on a motovlog setup to add some test rides to my vids. I’ll need some inspiration!
I agree 100% John. The average guy isn't going to hire a lawyer to fight a manufacturer who has lawyers on salary. They could drag it out just for kicks. I'm just disappointed, I've always owned Honda and Yamaha and get my first HD and love it but the sound is what I like about an HD and mine sounds like a V-Star or Shadow. Will my next new bike be an HD...not looking good if I have to worry changing the mufflers will affect my warranty. Second, what are all these aftermarket muffler companies going to do if HD is clamping down?!
Mapping and fule control Just replaced full exhaust and air cleaner. 2011 Black Line soft tail. 96-B motor. Upsweep bell pipes and an air cleaner from Crusher. I was advised I would need to "re-map' the fueling system , by using a fuel control system. You plan on doing anything on that subject ? Thanks for the videos. Good stuff
Yea I guess I didn’t did I. You’re the first person to mention it. Maybe I did mention it in part 3. I can’t remember now. The crossover adds back pressure giving a better bottom end performance than a set of true duals. The crossover is what they refer to in a 2-1-2 type pipe. Different than a 2-1 in sound, but as close as possible to performance. Although, after seeing the dyno sheets in part 3. I like the v&h power chamber exhaust better.
John, I got to hand it to you man you're a good sport about it, I would figure that in your profession you'd be all defensive with comments of this nature but youre demeanor is very professional. I have a LOT of respect for you. It's just like any another day with you and like water off of a ducks ass. At least you're smart in that you chose to ride a Evo.
Haha. HD has their faults for sure. They generally stand behind the name and make it right. I’ve replaced entire engines in bikes with 300 miles on it. Here is an acceptable fail rate as with any manufacturing. They just strive to keep it low, and make it right when it happens. I can stand behind that.
Mr. John Maxwell, I would love to be able to chat with you one day soon. If I gave you my number would you call or can I have yours?? thank you. just have questions about exhaust for my 2016 SGS . I have Bassani headers and CFR slip ons ... thinking to change the headers to Vans&Hines Power Duals. what would your thoughts be?
Max, I've been watching you for a few months now. I hope your customers are tipping you out in Georgia, if you were in NYC you'd be making money hand over fist in tips alone. Awesome job John. Cobras have nice products. Fine job!!!they sound good on a SPORTSTER...oh yeah
Lol, a week ago I had my rear brake light switch replaced on my 15 Dyna Street bob. Was still sticking at the front. Didn't matter much, as traded it for a Sport Glide today!

Great vid as always JM!
I am putting that exhaust header pipe on my 2017 next week. I have Rinehart 4.5 moto pro on there now. Hoping for good performance and great sound.
Really enjoy these videos man! Keep it up!!
I'm glad you're enjoying watching because I'm enjoying making them! Thanks for the support!
Why use a FP3.. why not a screaming eagle download???
+Ricky Decarlo the downloads are hit and miss. I’ll compare them in next weeks video. Glad you brought that up!
Cfr slip on ..for stock head pipes are really nice sounding with stock air filter !!!
Well produced vlog, good on you John 👍😎
The finished product was very nice...
Big thumbs up JM
Another good way to find a leak is to use a piece of hose and put it up to your ear and run it up and down the pipes Found lots of leaks this way
Can't say that sounds as good as what I was expecting. Not something I would spend $1000 on or whatever the cost.
Anyway all fixed, no leaks, no crap sounding bike
perfect example of how it all starts! glad you figured it out, and glad it wasn't as expensive as it sounded!
that's a great point. I'm bad about shooting the wash guy some dollars to wash my bike, but the best inspection is a good bike wash!
Always like watching your videos !!!!!!!!!!!when you do upgrades what do you do with the old parts ????
the customer takes them or we keep them for TH-cam visual aids...
Had that problem with the brake lever on the 05 I had was two problems one it the plunger was sticking. Sprayed down with wd40 and worked it till my hand was numb. Hey John. I have those pliers. Bought them from Sears. I'm looking at the tool #49273 I think. Partly blocked by the spring.

Thanks for all of the great videos John, you rock.
Awesome video brother
Thanks man!
How to winterize a bike in Texas:
Just keep riding the damn thing!
What's the music you had playing while putting the brackets on the pipes preparing them for installation on the bike.
I'm installing same set up. The problem I'm having is the o2 sensors are to small for new exaust??. Do I need to purchase separate hardware?. Great Video, the problem. Is you make it look so simple. GREAT Job!!!
2017 ultra limited. This again
Great channel. Quick question. I have a 2017 road king special with stage 4 kit already tuned from Harley. If I put aftermarket headers. Do I need to get it re-tuned? Harley already installed Vance and Hines slip ons
I would at least have it checked. We charge about 60 bucks to run an air fuel run.
Being from deep south Louisiana it could colder than a witch's +!+ one day and 75 to 80 the next. We dont winterize down here.
Looked like snap ring pliers to me.
I know sound there is different from on devices but next time you get some one going from neighbor haters to a different set of pipes it would be cool to here in comparison. J S.

Any cvo Breakout vids? I just picked up a 17.
could you give your thoughts on witch is the best performing M8 header like the Cobra, VH power duals, RCX Tormentors ?
Hey John here is a well deserved Dirty thumb man
Heck yeah bud good video.
Thanks!

John, After doing the Pro Chamber install and running it, can you recommend it or are there better options for the M8? Thanks VERY MUCH for taking the time to do this stuff for us. It's a treat when a new video comes out.
Definitely better options! Like the Rinehart Slimline header pipe!
Cobra neightbor hates
Opinion on 2011 Street glide.
How about giving the torque specs for the header bolts and exhuast clamps and the crossover bolts.....thanks

Hey Jonh, nice video, you should show more the pipes , how its sound like after the installation... Did you take the baffle out ???
I probably should have. I did not take the baffles out. The whole job took about 6 hours. I’ve split it into 3 videos, still kinda learning what people want to see!
Did you have to reflash the ECM when you put the new exhaust on?
will I have the same luck with my o2 sensors on a 2012 switchback??? I doubt it...
Man thanks for the vid but I'm having a bear of a time with matching up the crossover to the bracket on my 2018 with Cobra duals... everything is loose, the front exhaust seems as far in as it can be but when I try to match up the bracket I'm about 3/4 an inch out back still... any advice?

John. What is the Electric ratchet you use and how much power does it generate..It looks like it would be a great add to my tool box! Thanks
Snap on 14.4v electric ratchet. I don’t recall the specs. It’s my favorite tool, though.
it looks like a fine tool.. I will keep my eye open for a bargain..
any thoughts on CFR pipes?
Hahaha could of went there with. Back is black🤔😱🤗 love the videos.. keep it up.
+Antonio Granillo nailed it.
I swear I remember our Cobra rep telling us that you can use 95-16 mufflers on their new M8 head pipe as well, but can't remember for sure. Might have to call him up, or it's going to drive me crazy wondering. Haha
Ours told us the same thing, but it was pre production when he told us that, and the fitment lists 17+ models. So I don’t know what happened.
Can I remove baffles from RC exhaust slip ons? Do I need a tune after? 2020 Road glide
And I got. Very good Tq & HP numbers on my 15 road king
I have S&S stealth A/C , powervision tuner , Andrews 57 h cams , .30 head gaskets and had zippers do a CNC street port on the heads 👍 oh & sceaming Eagle street cannons Slip-On
108 hp & 116 tq
Are they tied together or true duals
Great videos. What do you think of the s&s mk45 and the rcx tormentor header?
I don’t have any experience with either of them.
Cool thanks man it’s hard trying to choose a exhaust
john, im with Tom on the warranty issue....i have a 2017 road glide ultra that i have had the stage 1 kit installed and screaming eagle cannons....i since changed to neighbor haters and my head pipe is restricting my machine i know...i have to keep polishing it back up because of discoloration from the heat....i do have an esp from the dealer so what would that cause if i changed head pipe out? thanks for your help
Does this exhaust upgrade void the warranty?
Yeah, I got a question. What do we do with all the stock pipes and mufflers we remove from our new Harleys after installing a real exhaust? I got a garage full. Thanks
+sharkzf6 yea. We scrap it all for pennies per pound. It’s ridiculous!
Damn!!
+sharkzf6 nobody wants them, just like you’re saying, haha. Hell, we don’t even want them!
Who is cleaning up the paper mess? I like the video, good work. Seems I will be a new fan of your channel
+Roadster FB yea, maybe I shoulda not done that...haha. Thanks for watching!
What is that autowrench your using and where can I get one plus what's the price on it.
Heat is a good indication of an exhaust leak. Had that issue with my 05.
How about a install vid of the V&H Power duals on a 2017 Ultra Limited also how about a Arlen Ness Big Sucker on the same bike
Thanks Brother
ML&R
We don’t sell many of the big suckers. Power duals we can probably do. I’ll keep it in mind!
John Maxwell ok thanks let me know when you do it I have a set sitting in a box in the garage
Hey bud I had a question. I got a 2018 FXBB , and I bought the 2 in 1 VH pro pipe but the bracket doesnt add up to the muffler because it bends the muffler away from the bike and doesnt sit flush with the header pipes. Have you had anyone with that issue come in ?
do you know how the Street Cannon slip ons for the 2018s sound? if I get a Heritage next spring I might opt for those.
My dealer had a new Heritage with the Street Cannons...sound barely different than stock
goats are like mushrooms; if you shoot a duck I'm scared of toasters.
Glad it’s fixed!
When doing just slip ons is a ecm reprogram / tuner needed?
Nah, it could be useful, but isn’t “needed”
What’s the brand name of this headers pipes
Hey John” I was wondering if you ever heard the S&S Mk45 Slip on mufflers? Thinking of getting a pair in place of my Reinhartt’s for my FLHXSE!! Thoughts?
+TheRooster1122 no experience. If you do get them, post a vid to fb or IG so we can all enjoy!
John Maxwell I will John when I get them, I’ll do a sound check with the Reinhartts Compared to the S&S Mk45’s
+TheRooster1122 awesome, thanks
Hey john.....question...I have a 2018 FLHTKANV and even the aftermarket vance and hinse are so quiet :( wht can I do to be heard :) thanks brother!!
I am planing to put the Screaming Eagle exhaust on my 2018 Fatboy 114 . What do you think about that?
How much of a sound increase did you notice after going to a cat-less header?
+John Rivera sound is improved for sure. Not as significant as muffler swaps. What you notice more than sound is power and less heat at the right leg when stopped (near the cat)
I have heard that aftermarket head pipes actual lose power on the new M8. Any commet John?
It does seem that way for a lot of head pipes. We are getting solid numbers out of the rinehart slimlines, though.
OK, thats good to know
I don't know if anybody's ever asked you but I'm going to go ahead and ask so is there a reason why harleydavidson changed exhaust muffler sizes I'm touring bikes. so why is one larger than the other?
Performance. Very few of the aftermarket head pipes make more power in a stage 1 configuration than the stock head pipe. Whatever they did was right!
I have heard that guys have gutted the OEM pipe and lost low end torque. Have you also encountered that? if you don't have time to answer that's okay I know you're very busy thank you for all the videos you make.
I want to get into a shop as a Harley technician need some tips think you can help a brother out
There's been a lot of rumblings lately about voiding Harley's warranty if you change pipes. Just how far can you go? Air Filter, Pipes, Cats, Tuners, etc.? You don't have to answer if you don't want to wink wink nod nod
+Tom Dillon once the MoCo got hit with the EPA fines, they are pretty strict about what they know about....
Second, what are all these aftermarket muffler companies going to do if HD is clamping down?!
you left your phone on the couch. lol
Does this heared pipe work with high flow O2 sensors?
header (sorry type 0)
Yes, it’s fitment is 17-18 touring
Link to part 3 is missing in description,New TH-camr problems lol
Mapping and fule control
Just replaced full exhaust and air cleaner. 2011 Black Line soft tail. 96-B motor.
Upsweep bell pipes and an air cleaner from Crusher.
I was advised I would need to "re-map' the fueling system , by using a fuel control system.
You plan on doing anything on that subject ?
Thanks for the videos. Good stuff
That’s part 3 of this video series. The link is in the description of this video. Let me know if you have any questions.
thanks . will check it out
Where's part 3?
Should be in the playlist I believe.
Softale deluxe dam spell check
Looks like the pipe shipper is part owner of a NEWSPAPER COMPANY
that passenger seat is thicker then my bed!
You never said why that's good stuff referring to the cobra pro chamber head pipe.
How about upgrading the valve seats that are falling out? LOL
I haven’t seen one. Seems more folks are talking about it, but I’m not sure if it’s a huge deal or a handful of heads that this has happened to.
