Watching and hearing Simon ride through the track made me really happy for whatever reason, can't explain it but this guy is just great at his job
Simon is one of the best additions to the MotoGP coverage that we've had in a long time. I look forward to his segments every race weekend.
Comes out of VR46 Garage with alpinestars
Dainese: so u have chosen death
Lol
This is actually a great joke lol
and with arai
Alpinestar made in italy bro
@@eatsuki-nakano ya still Rossi used Dainese for like most of his life plus all Skyracing Vr46 riders used Dainese its like their official sponsor
Portimao is amazing, the best circuit I’ve ridden, will be epic to see the MotoGP big guns hammering it round !
Had the biggest smile 😁 on my face watching this and listening to your enthusiasm, Simon, in the knowledge that I have already booked a weekend there next April. Thank you and have a great weekend.
Uploaded us about your experience
These onboards are great. I’d love to see a steady forward shot for the whole lap, with a circuit map and position up in the corner. Keep ‘em coming!
Jack Miller did one, it's up on the website
@@MattGabnai Yeah I saw that they uploaded it after my comment. It's good to have these videos, but it's just as good to get a rider's view of a lap. Cheers.
Legends go that Simon keeps spare tyres in his facemask
Fuiyoh!! Portimao so insane, this circuit make Uncle Simon screaming!!
Incredible track!!! You guys are so lucky to be able to enjoy all these beautiful circuits. Good luck and safe racing to all!👍😎
Omg! Just watching it already feel afraid 😂. You are Incredible 🥰🥰🥰
This is the only race I've wanted to see all 2020 season. I hope it's considered as one of motogps tracks for the upcoming years
Always lovely to watch Simon explain the tracks to world viewers. Awesome job here man as always.
Man, Simon sounds like another human being when he's on a bike 😆 True racer!
Thank you for taking us along for a ride with you around that circuit Simon. That looks like a fun circuit!! We have a quite few circuits like that over here in the State's that have similar elevation changes with blind corners, though most are for local club events and not "big enough" for WSBK or MotoGP gatherings. You definetely have to hit your markers correctly and turn with confidence to stay on your lines.
Simon is a legend! Remember the 500cc race in Assen with Doohan
Can't wait the race
“Haha!! What a circuit!”
Gotta love the enthusiasm 👍 cracking video Mr Crafar! 💪💪
To be noted he ever participaced in some motogp race in the past and man doesnt lose his speed. So great to see
He won in 500cc two stroke with a privateer team. He is very talented and a highly respected in the professional racing world.
This was brilliant!! Pure gold, Simon! Your enthusiasm is everything. Love these videos. (Still laughing at the "Scary corner!! Woo hoo!")
Surprising for Simon and track show One for the year i think .Grateful for These videos that you make 😉Happy Simon continues👍👍
Simon is amazing😂😂
i love this circuit
Awesome! Only thing missing is the S1000RR he used to ride..... Thanx Simon!!!
Amazing... This should be done for each track
This circuit is up there with Assen as one of my favourite race tracks
Loving the Triumph,great job. 👍🏻
OMFG this was amazing, Simon.
Legend mate 😊
Wow he is amazing😍
I was at Portimao today and can conform Simons excitement is totally justified !!
1:12 Simon is making the engine work by voice commands.. STOP! STOP! STOP!!
Lol is little working
Actually i feel like at least one riders would shout out while breaking late and overtaking someone lol. I mean i would 😂
Maverick should have just used that command when he had a brake problem in Styria
@@christophervinantius this seems to be new in moto bikes :p
Voice call engine upgrade 😱😂👌
I really missed these👍🏽👍🏽
Love this guy...❤️
GO GO GO 😍😍😍
Fantastic track review pure joy
Thanks simon
now we need this kind of onboard before any race weekend
Simon you are Great Teacher
Best track ever made. 🔥
GO ! Simon ! Well conveyed sir.
This is the most lively I have heard Simon.
There is never too much Simon!
MORE. OF. THIS. NEXT. YEAR. PLEASE.

Good race portimao 2020
i love this guy making tik tocks , really amazing circuit . even simon is really old , he's still got it
Fantastic Track🥰🤪
Wow, you sound differently while riding! :D
U r amazing simon
What we want to see: the track ahead
What we see: rider's boot, rider's butt, rider's chest, tank etc
So awesome! Thanks! #givethanks
Taariiik maaang..
Simon👍
Street Triple! Excellent choice Simon.
gr8 video
great track
GO!
Cant wait to do this in a residential school zone, Thanks!!
Nice!
A great Kiwi sports star.
it's nice when the host is a racer
I literally don't know most of the rider name but I'd like to see the race I am big fan of Moto GP 😍😍😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰🥰😍😍😍🥰
it's been a long time we don't see video like this??
Great to have Simon take us through, but could you just keep it on the forward view through the whole lap? Or maybe a multi-cam for people who want to see his knees?
They have to get in the Triumph product placement xD
Wished the track progression overlay was there
I'll assume the editing results from this being a Triumph sponsored video. That, or the producer just really likes Simon's junk. Still, great video. I do like Simon's track rides describing the track. Great stuff!
Can we have that in the future too?
Simon why don't we get to see you on your Thursday rides the rest of the season? Also I think you should do a tech video on what it takes for Steve Day and Matt Birt to do the excellent job they do.
I have a question. How does body weight and feet change the bike direction since the front wheel is not on the ground from Turn 8 to Turn 9?
YOU ARE MY TEACHER!!!
Best content for all .. wkwkwk
triumph track triple
Simon should do a 2021 wild card
👏👏👏👏👏👍
Classy English gentleman trumpy ! 👍
👍😍🌹💚
oh come on Simon, you didn't tell us your lap time
1down5Up
The video would be much better if we could watch the track from the front camera only.
2021
Where is track picture
Interesting you didn't use a BMW
Maybe he couldnt floor it like he did on the much smaller Triumph...track is scary
Triumph sponsors the Moto 2 class, he was leaving a moto 2 garage, makes perfect sense
Too many cameras. Gave the editor too much to choose from, and he/she ended up with a disjointed hodge-podge of broken scenes. I would recommend re-editing, with longer, more interesting shots - - OF THE TRACK - - whatever the shots of the feet, and body close-ups were, is nonsense. Absolute best views of MC road racing, is straight ahead, riders POV. Oh, and, I am NOT speaking as a film critic - - I am a road racer. Long ago, when Kenny Roberts was King, and I rode a factory Yamaha. Still love the sport, and my criticism is only one man's point of view. The ride around a track has ZERO interest in the riders feet or ass. It should be all track.
Look at all the sheeples comments though.... "Baaaaa baaaaaa baaaaa".
Critical thinking has been eradicated.
Nice, very nice! 👍🏻🍺😜🐾☯️👽👻💙🇬🇧
Simon “GO” Crafar 😛
Tikungan yang ga bisa ditebak karena aspal gak datar, melebar dikit kesalip atau kemungkinan crash
Should be an interesting weekend. Crutchlow is likely the only one on the grid who has ever raced there before, so he should at least be one of the fastest from FP1. We'll have to see who else gets up to speed quickly.
I expect the Yamahas and Aprilias to struggle especially (granted the Apes struggle everywhere). But the Ducatis will be strong in the hard braking zones and on the looong right onto the front straight. The Hondas will be good out of the slow corners and down the front straight.
The Suzukis should be ok, they're good most everywhere.
The dark horses are the KTMs.
But the Yammies and Apes are going to be slowest out of the hairpins, they'll get murdered down the front straight and may struggle in all the heavy braking zones.
I'd be shocked if anyone uses anything other than a hard front in the race.
Crutchlow will be in the gravel yet again and make a bigger prick of himself than usual 🇬🇧
@@ronniebiggs4026 I never said he'd finish the race, there's no contract for him to secure for next season ;). But he should at least be able to string a few laps together.
Though if by some miracle he finishes on the podium, he'll "have had the pace to win but..." Or if he does win, well it was a forgone conclusion the whole weekend, never in doubt.
Gotta love Crutchlow, the odd time he makes a podium, in the post race interview you'd think he was there every weekend.
@@brentbartley6838 I was a fan dude in the BSB days but in moto gp especially on the grid or in interviews he comes across as a big headed arrogant prick and this is why Lorenzo says Yamaha has swopped Gold for Bronze and that’s being graceful.
@@ronniebiggs4026 He is an odd choice over Lorenzo, especially for Yamaha. His results on the M1 were never particularly great and he's obviously had little impact on the development of the Honda and his results on it have only gotten worse.
Without MM on the grid we truly get to see how difficult that bike is. Alex Marquez had a couple decent finishes but otherwise was barely in the points. Taka had the most consistent pace all season but couldn't finish a race when it counted. Honda COVETS the manufacturers title and this year they're only above Aprilia (granted they're 100 points above Aprilia) but to be beaten by all the other manufacturers is not going to sit well at HRC. So one good thing is they may actually try to make the bike consistently good for other riders than just MM, because, who knows what kind of pace he'll have when he comes back. He may never be as quick again (which really wouldn't hurt the sport, 9 or 10 different winners in a season is better than 3 or 4 IMO).
Well I didn't think about all the Spaniards and Portuguese riders that raced there in the Spanish CEV championship.
And only FP1 but so far Yamaha and Aprilia proving me wrong with Vinales in 2nd and both Apes in 3rd and 4th.
Just know that simon crafer, can ride a bike LOL.. just know him, from his comment on motogp
So Simon...tell us...how did it feel winning your solo race?
Sounds like a great circuit, but couldn't see half of it because you chose clips of his arse instead of the track ahead.
"This one" - Simon "no numbers" Crafar.
Just how many corners are called this one... in Portugal.
Why triumph....where yamaha,honda,ktm and suzuki....
Voice call engine brake stop stop stop 😜👌

Dorna and Triumph should of gave him the Daytona moto2 bike
"...should have given him..."

wow! talking & explaining while riding hard
First
Smh.....the wsbk guys have been riding this for more then 10 years.
So, why are you shaking your head exactly?
@Abhirup Nath Didn't he get 2 top 10 finishes in his 2 starts? That's quite a feat considering he did it mid Superbike season.
@Abhirup Nath Why? He jumped across from SBK mid season with no testing and know knowledge of how the tyre works. He did bloody well for a rookie.
Alex Marquez had done all of pre season testing this year and would have been praised for 2 top 10 finshes in his first 2 races.
Miller's on board was better
