Original Music that has been extended to play for 30 minutes. Game - Metroid Prime (GameCube) (2002) This video is not for monetary gain of any sort. Music and property owned by Nintendo.
That's beautiful! But how does it work as a ringtone? Doesn't the "winter" evocative part kick in much later? Usually one picks up in the first 5 seconds or so and this is a long track?
I think MP3 will unfortunately stay a pipe dream. I don't have the source, but in an interview with retro, they said it would be diffcult to port the third prime onto any console other then the wii. It was so tailor made to the motion controls of the wii that they would have to completely remake the game.
@@Madcrab0815 ("CrabOverlord", I like your name) I believe that with all the recent Metroid titles coming/already on the Switch, this is slowly leading up to Metroid Prime 4. Also in case you haven't tried it yet, the new Prime ReMaster actually has a variety of different control options including one that replicates the Prime Trilogy on Wii. So full on motion controls and everything which makes sense as the Switch JoyCons are basically upgraded Wiimotes. Whereas the PrimeHack on PC assigns the motion actions of MP3 to a button instead which could work too. Regardless, I'll continue to support each new release as I have for years now and maybe Nintendo will slowly realize that the Metroid series is worth continuing.
First time playing Prime. As a fan of electronic music, this track really hit me in the feels. I really like how they remix each overworld track the deeper you go.
Just wondering what genre would this be. I like only a handful of electronic songs and don’t really know where to start when diving in given how vague “electronic music” or “edm” is for a genre name given how much that covers. If anything I’d argue that it’s more vague than calling everything “rock music” because you can at least that’s anything that’s somewhat modeled off of the 4 piece band. “Electronic music” or “edm” on the other hand is literally anything that is made primarily with electronic music equipment or whatever you want to call if
@patricklewis9787 You are right electronic music is a very vague term as it covers a wide range, what genre a track is has really been made up as we have gone along as like you said all of these type of songs are made electronically therefore they are all considered electronic music. When I think of EDM though, I think of artists like Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Avicci, Hardwell etc as they are known as EDM artists and their tracks are labelled as EDM. But this track from Metroid falls more into the techno, dance style of genre. I highly recommend listening to techno or trance if you like electronic music, Lostly and Aly & Fila are two great trance artists in the dance scene.
@@patricklewis9787 Some kind of Electro, the pure definition of this, using a drum machine and some synths with several ambient and trance influences. I played the original Metroid Prime a bit when I was in High School, but I wasn't able to finish the game at the time. I always wanted to go back and finish it, but never took the time to dig out my old Wii. 1 week ago, Metroid Prime Remastered came out. I played, and played, until I passed the point where I had left off last time. Today, I heard this banger for the first time. So worth it!
Just curious as to how far you got last time. The second Tallon theme is also a nice surprise if you hadn't gotten far enough to have heard it back then.
Before getting the Gravity Suit: Come on let me through, wait did an enemy pass m- aaagh what are these tentacles?! After getting the Gravity Suit: OUT OF MY WAY I'M BACK ON PACE, TAKE THIS ICE BEAM TO THE FACE
Excellent music to meditate to. Had a couple of life-changing decision making periods with this one. Classic game. Classic entry to a classic series. Classic main character. Sequel is one of my favorite games of all time but the original is classic. Looking forward to playing 4 and the remasters of the other games once they're released. Fusion, 2, 3, zero mission in particular but that's just this old timer here.
This is a great song to listen to on a cold, cloudy day as it fits the environment that it originally debuted in! I can't wait to experience this area in Metroid Prime Remastered with my GameCube controller!
I think this is the only underwater segment I actively enjoyed. I didn't dislike Torvus, didn't hate Tallon's limited underwater section, didn't loathe the crashed frigate, but that's about it. They were there, and the music made up for the gameplay (Torvus is much better than the Crashed Frigate, and is honestly not too bad, it's honestly a select few enemies that made me dislike it, namely the Grenchler and that STUPID CLOAKING FRUIT-BAT THING THAT SHRIEKS, AAAAAGH), but Phendrana's underwater segment was genuinely fun, felt pretty fluid to me, and getting the Gravity Suit was a huge reward. 9/10. Very 2000's.
@@SoraXKokiri oh, I agree, they just aren't my favorite areas in the trilogy. I'd definitely say that in comparison to Mario 64 and other area-dimorphic games, Metroid Prime has the most enjoyable water areas.

This song makes me wish I was Samus in a comfy save room in Phendrana Deptsh while I peacefully and respectfully take a shit while my Gravity Suit plays this song, of course, the suit will clean myself up, or even better, imagine running into a comfy toilet over there and take the chillest dump ever. 10/10 song!
