I’m new to Islam been studying for a while and thinkng of taking my shahada. Correct me if I’m wrong , if you pray and repent for your sins Allah is most merciful and forgiving and your sins are forgiven correct ? That’s why we say “bismillah rahman rahim” .
Congratulations I hope you take your shahada. We say “bismillah” meaning in the name of Allah before doing anything. It usually said before eating or before reciting quran. If you have any doubts about Islam you are free to ask.

Congratulations I hope you take your shahada. We say “bismillah” meaning in the name of Allah before doing anything. It usually said before eating or before reciting quran. If you have any doubts about Islam you are free to ask.

i have a question Though, alhamdullelah iam muslim, born a muslim.
