Besides biology , I had many ecology classes. One day, stuck in a swamp because my expert naturalist friend miscalculated the tides. While waiting for the tide to come in and watching the vultures circling above us we talked about how we were parked in a big giants kidney watching all the goings on up close. There was plenty of water moving around in and out , just not enough to float our boat.
