And for those who care, with otherwise regular maintenance and replacing just a cv joint, 8 tires and a couple of batteries, my Lancer still runs great! Ac, cruise, power windows...everything still kickin it! And I just hit 200k, while pulling into my driveway! No car payments on a reliable car- that' a beautiful thing! I'm told hitting 300k may disrupt the space-time continuum, so we'll see!...... :)
My lancer is on 330k, straight exhaust with 3.5inch cannon 😂and a shitty tune but you get 160kmph out of 4th gear lmao only issue I have is the reason I'm here on this video just doing a quick refresh before I replace sparks. Like I said 330k and only issue I've ever had is a missfire lol this car gets DRIVEN too lmao it's a fun lil thing to flog and it loves it. I've never known a 4g engine to die under proper maintenance lol I mean even just the stock motor can be strapped up with 15psi boost without any internal changes. The only times these engines die and when they do they basically disintegrate lol is when they push to much boost or no oil because these cars chew up oil. Other than those 2 things these engines are pretty much unkillable. There is a mirage in my town that has had like 7 owners 3 of which were my mates lmao the car is on 780k and still ripps since one my mates owned it he straight piped it and upgraded the clutch before he eventually sold it on. Its driven by an old fella now but that car will easy see 1mill
Thanks to Mr.TubeFreak112 for showing this video like ya did.I've been working on my own vehicles and some of the kins for the better part of 25+years and I have to admit if it wasn't for your video I'd of had taken alot longer to find out where those 2 plugs were that they hid under the coil packs. Thanks again Mr.TubeFreak112.
I'm doing a 2006 and it looks basically the same on top including the coil packs. The plugs are likely different values perhaps. I would absolutely recommend hi-temp anti seize compound on the plug threads and use of a torque wrench to avoid over tightening. The value for my '06 is 25 +/- N-m (18 +/-3 ft-lbs). I would also reco dielectric grease on all the electrical connections esp. the wire boots for ease of assembly/disassembly and corrosion protection. Great job, thanks!
great video- simple and well done....it took the fear right out of me in tackling what the pros would charge too much for. I did buy the gapless Bosch platinum-2's as recommended by that huge book at Wal-mart, and hope to see incredible hp gains! :) Well, at least less stumbling when first starting. Thank you do much!
Hey, I'm not a mechanic, just okay at DIY with some basic things on a vehicle. Length for the ratchet is the long on, about 30cm. Dont worry if it's a bit long, it will still work okay.
ohh do I love my lancer omg only car I ever liked I've had many to but I love upgrading my car once a week thanks for these tutorials omg I'm trying to have my lancer apart of the Dallas finest car club! hottest car on the streets.
Great job ,i want to do the same for my lancer 1300 GLX 4 13 MPI.what is length of ratchet handle that fits the depth where spark plugs are fitted?by the way could you state me the reason why my engine hesitates at idle after moving a distance.?
Is it the same for 2004 Lancer? The machanic told me to buy the wrench needed to change plugs for them, so I thought why not give it a go myself. Would save me a crapload of money too.
Those plug covers don't come off so easily sometimes. I had to give mine a good tug to get them off. Service engine soon light is still on. Now I get to replace those....ugh.
my dear friend Maki pleas do me favor and tell me what is the value of rocker (intake &exhaust) for lancer 2006 )on hot engine and cold engine I am talk about VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT thanks

How's the car now? Is that 200k km or miles you were talking about?

Yes it is the same.
i have a 2003 lancer es, is changing the spark plugs the same?
will you please explain how to change fuel filter and fuel pump and where is thier place ( inside the tank or out it?) thanks
HI, I think my car's engine is typical to it ,I wish if you could upload a video showing full view of it and explaining all sensors,..PCV valve ,etc.
According to NGK, you SHOULD NOT use anti seize. Check their tech bulletins on their web site. Won't allow me to list URL here.
its the same thing in a lancer 2003 oz rally? sorry my english sucks
The motor is number 1.8?

Good my friend, Thanks.

Valve is for tire ! put air in the tire or take air from the tire ! gonfler , dégonfler !
what size is the socket?
he said 16 :)
That torque spec should read 25 +/- 4 N-m
Sorry, not sure...
No gabbing?
SO much! :)
Take it to a professional. The light shouldn't come on.
