My 2 Cents-I've had mine for about 18 months. So far the crank key has sheared and needed to be replaced. Luckily it was under warrantee at the time, otherwise I was looking at almost $900 for parts and repairs (there would be other repairs...read on). When the the dealer put it all back together, it blew a head gasket (that was part of the $900). Once I got it back, the mice chewed through the fuel tank, so I replaced that ($40) and now I have a valve cover that is leaking and I'm off to the dealer tomorrow for a new gasket and some Permatex sealant. One of the rear tires wouldn't hold air (rim leak) so I put a tube in it. The brake bracket broke and had to be replaced (part of the above $900). Not a huge fan of the electric choke, though I don't think that's so much Briggs fault as it is them trying to meet emissions standards, which I think is a bit of a fallacy, because I think a manual choke might be cleaner if used properly. I too am missing a drain plug, but have an oil vac system, but still, come on right? Thanks for the video. With all that, I still love it. I've moved cords and cords of firewood, yards of dirt, mulch and compost and I don't know what I would do with out it.

Quite a story, *(and I'm sorry about all your woe's). My experience will merit another video that I'll up-load SOON. But mines quite different than yours (all MOSTLY) in a positive light. I have the Electric start as well, and my biggest gripe (over-all) is aligned along side THAT very topic; THE ENGINE. So perhaps watch for that / but, more importantly: THANKS for the comment !.

    Hi Tom.
DR has made great equipment for a long time.
What I have found is that most engines today, you have siphon it out. Probably to many people forgetting to reinstall the plug. (lol...) My ten year old push mower is that way.
While I haven't encountered a sealed differential/drive unit like that yet, I have to look at the drive on my Ariens mower. I might eat my words...
    Thanks for your review.

Hey Henry, "thanks". ... *shoot me if I EVER forget that oil 'plug' ok* ?. : - ) Everything today seems more & more "disposable", and how many times have we heard that phrase: "oh- that units sealed & doesn't EVER need a thing" / only later then to find that THIS is WHY it then failed !. Example: (The rear end of my Ford Escapes a great one): as those cars age, rear diff. failure is a given / and almost commonplace !,., and sure enough / Ford put back that "sump drain" on those models and beyond ! ***MINE never failed because I was again "proactive" (and a non-believer). BUT: (again): IN THIS EXAMPLE, "THIS is a wheel borrow" .... "and changing fluids a 100K is kinda silly in that reality" / "yes" ? ROFLOL :- ) *ALL my best.

I'd say it's stout enough for that and then-some !.
