    I served for 20 years in the Military. I was Stationed in Asia and Europe Deployed numerous places. I was separated from my wife, kids numerous times. One of the things that kept my Spirits up was the FLAG! Every where i was that Flag was a Reminder of what i was doing and who i was doing for. It might sound Corny but that Flag makes me PROUD!. I am 61 years old and a 100% Disabled American Veteran but i would GLADLY & PROUDLY do it all over again. It saddens me that today's younger generation doesn't have the same Pride in our Country, i wish these Soy SOFT people would go to other countries and see just how good they have it here in America. I fly my Flag every day. Remember if you fly your Flag after dark it MUST BE ILLUMINATED by a Dedicated light source.

      i hope you hear this a lot and i want to say it too. Thank you for your service and sacrifices. It's because of you and your Brothers and Sisters in Arms that my beautiful, beloved daughter was able to grow up in a country where she could go to school, learn to drive...get a job, and become the strong, independent young woman that she has. She is the most precious thing in my life and my gratitude to our incredible Service Members will never end.
      Thank you as well goes to your family. Coming from and marrying into a Military Family, i know the hardships and sacrifices that often arise making us feel like we're taking on a war of our own. Thank them for loaning you out for me!
      Many, many blessings and much appreciation to you and yours!🙏🇺🇸

    It is really sad that a young man from another country shows more patriotism than a lot of American young people. We would be proud to have you join our ranks.

    This came out in the mid 70's, so those wars weren't even thought of yet, but Johnny Cash was famous for his songs about things like this. you should listen to "As Long as the Grass Shall Grow" or "The Ballad of Ira Hayes" . Two really great songs, then move on to songs like "Delia's Gone" or "The Man Who couldn't Cry". One of my favorites by him is "One Piece at a Time" Also "The Man in Black". I could list Johnny Cash songs all day, but these are some of his best! Great reaction to this one!

    I watch your videos and I have to say, you may have been born a Brit and lived in the UK your whole life, but I think you are akin to the first settlers of our Great land back hundreds of years ago with your pride and love of our country. You have said that you are going to be immigrating to the USA soon, but I would like to correct you if you don't mind. You're not immigrating to the USA, YOU ARE COMING HOME.

    I heard Johnny Cash say he wrote this after coming home from traveling and performing around the world. He is one of the few triple threats, member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Great reaction and thank you for listening to the words.

    You are a young man and I thank you for your love and respect for America! Today's young people aren't as patriotic as you are, proud of you. It's even more awesome is you are not even an American citizen! I heard you are applying for citizenship. Proud to call you a fellow citizen soon!

So when I was growing up there was this was this wonderful comedian by the name of Red Skelton. Very passionate about America, variety of characters he invented and just good belly laugh wholesome comedy! He did a routine about the Pledge of Allegiance which is awesome which everyone (especially children) should watch! Thank you again and love from Texas🤠🤠🤠

    There has been a massive swing in treatment of the military. When I joined the Navy at the end of Vietnam, many did not respect the armed forces. Now days it's common for people to thank you for your service, much appreciated. I agree that people tend to not respect the flag/anthem the way they should. Just my opinion.

    • @mikeyreacts234
      @mikeyreacts234  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think your opinion it totally valid. I find it ridiculous that this happened after and during Vietnam, considering that most who served were drafted. The behaviour of the public during that time was deplorable!

    This song represents many small town Americans. Yes this country has been through a lot. BUT, we love our country. Many young, stupid kids have no clue, how this flag got to where we are.

      After the Revolutionary War ended the new country of the United States was at war with England during the War of 1812. During that war The Star Spangled Banner was written, and British troops burned the White House. Have you ever heard Johnny Horton's song The Battle of New Orleans? That's about the War of 1812, which lasted more than year.
