- What would YOU do if a storm hit your wedding clients photoshoot? It was supposed to be a typical wedding day photoshoot...but then we got stuck outside during a storm.
Despite everything, the entire team and bride and groom pulled through and we turned a bad situation into something good. At the end of the day, we got some beautiful photos and a great memory! :D

Bride gets a solid A+ on her gown. Beautiful.
I want the deets on this dress--so stunning!
The pattern on the trail also, so gorgeous!
I like how they handled it so calmly
Yes no bridzilla
That bride's dress is GORGEOUS! So sad you had to go through the rainstorm during this shoot 😂
stunning bride! beautiful couple
The wedding couple is super gorgeous
I’ve seen other TH-cam videos where everything is perfect. Lighting, scenery, day, night, etc.
This is the first video where you had challenges others won’t discuss and how you dealt with your situation.
Good on you! Great video!
Can’t open a door? Just shoot photos through it! 😂❤️
omg yess. but it was raining tho. even more shots
Haha LOL
Omg 😂
Sophieee Evelyn that made me laugh 😂 id be annoyed if I was the bride 😂
Parisa Peters Glad to make people happy 🤷♀️😄
I loved how everyone kept their cool and made it work very nicely anyway! You're a warrior who also knows how to treat your clients. You just took me to school, thank you!!
This couple is so attractive I can't believe theyre not just models you hired
Yes, the couple and location, it's like a movie.
She was so relieved after being shown the pictures
A. Jessica is SUCH A PRO! Handled the situation in a great, positive manner, trying to keep everyone calm. Good job girl!
B. The couple looks gorgeous and their attitude is also super nice.
C. The way the groom tries to protect his bride from the rain is so cute.
I wish them the best and again Jess, you nailed it!
10:30 yalla 😁😁😁
All of them handled it perfectly. Must be so stressful on Jessica and also imagine for the bride how much time and money was spent on making the perfect dress, makeup, hairstyle etc. Most people might have shown some nerves in that moment...
Bride’s dress and veil is absolutely stunning. And the location is beautiful. Even the interior of the house would look awesome for a fashion editorial shoot
Hey jessica! Clearly you're no stranger to when photoshoots go wrong! but what about when they go right and the model does not like them? I took photos of my sister and they came out STUNNING but she doesnt like any photo where she was smiling genuinely and she made me take them off my insta. Ever experience this?
Yesss!!
If they don’t want them on Instagram they don’t want them on there. I would say ask if you can at least put them on your website as a portfolio shot because you think they’re such beautiful shots and they’ll be helpful for your career. People view that differently than social media most of the time. It’s a matter of perspective.
Chris Whyte my sister does this to me ALL THE TIMEEE it’s so rude. But I think it mainly because we are family so she knows she can push my boundaries 🤷🏽♀️ oh and I understand why people say don’t work with family 😬
Billy Murphy that’s a good advice 👍
Chris Whyte don’t work with your family or friends , follow this rule and you won’t have those problems, unless you have a lot of free time and want invest it in something no one might appreciate afterwards
I felt the struggle through my phone screen lmaoo
OMG JESSICA IM CRYING FOR YOU LMAO QUALITY CONTENT
I felt so stressed watching this 😭😅
I’ve had to shoot a wedding when it poured rain and everything was setup outside 😭😭
Watching this, I feel like you guys made the most out of the situation and got some interesting shots that you probably wouldn’t have gotten if all this never happened. I think that’s probably one of the coolest things about being a photographer and something you can teach yourself in life is to use and do what you can with what you have and everything usually works out better than expected.
Wedding photography is the most difficult photography. Respect to you!
Bride and groom looked gorgeous! I liked that you seized the moment and took advantage of the look through the rain and the window. I think next time you will check the locks along everything else! 😅 And maybe you could get a big umbrella such as the ones used by hotel staff.
I’m half way through the video, and I love how u connect with the broom and bride. Your being very helpful, and trying ur best to comfort them that way it’s not awkward or anything. I love it.
its groom not broom sorry to say
Thanks for sharing a bit of reality instead of superficial, glossy, perfect and unrealistic videos. There are too many who try to impress their viewers by presenting a false reality... This is genuine displaying hiccups + things that ALWAYS happen during wedding shoots, in one way or another....
Oh my gosh!!! Talk about making lemonade out of lemons!!! You guys did an amaaaaazing job!!! Wow!!! The pictures came out beautifully!!! The bride looked amazing and so did you Jessica! The groom looked great too - even though he got soaked. Great job posing them and staying calm and in control in-spite of locked doors and pouring rain. Very wise of you to save the day with your umbrella too 👏 I’m a Detroit-based photographer too and would LOVE to work with you and learn from you Jessica! -Fernelle
*"Trying not to cry!"* Aw!! I feel so bad! But it all worked out! And they make a beautiful couple!
Yes she probably was sooo stressed but the photos are beautiful. A lot of people don’t realize it’s all only what’s seen on camera. The camera won’t see the bad. What’s in frame looks good and that’s all that matters!! Lol
I used to carry a plastic bag with some of those super absorbant towels you use for drying cars. I also bought some big unbrellas from Home Depot but you could use photography umbrellas and if they leak water spray the outside with a water proofing spray. A translucent plastic sheet is useful for a ton of things from shooting on wet grass, sand,, a rain tarp, to a huge diffuser. You could keep them all in something like a tripod bag with strap.
I thought of putting together kits for different conditions, one for rain and/or snow, one for very hot conditions, one for shooting at the beach or desert, and of course an actual first aid kit.
The idea is to have them in a duffle bag with labels or different colored bags so you could grab the one you need that day and go
I loved this kind of behind the scenes, its so real and it really shows how it is when you have to rush or when something like rain happens haha you always kept it really professional but still cracking jokes and making the bride and groom feel good, they were loving it, nice job Jessica id like to see more videos like this one!
Waw Jessica you impressed me! Real dedication out there. When I saw your creative mind triger and think "oh there is a good shot here" behind the glass door to take what was for me one of the best shots, I just said "waw, waw"
Ps :wink to the low key middle eastern vibes from you I get and catch in many of your videos that nobody notices haha
I hope to have the chance of having fun working with you one day.
Much love from a french/jordanian photographer fan
So good to see the reality behind wedding photography. Boy, do you really need to have energy and resilience for that job.
She's so chill and not panicking externally
simply amazing... I mean, what else can I say? That bride looks gorgeous, and you guys did a great job in handling that whole situation and still got perfect photos!
The bride has the most beautiful dress I've ever seen.
Rainy day is bad, but still was able to see great results from an uncontrollable situation. It is always good to learn from The unexpected situation. I did a few outdoor wedding in Florida, and they got rain out. Everyone was depressed. At least I was able to give the new couples great wedding albums.
Loved seeing this process. Intimate and realistic, and what a beautiful couple jheeze! Really like this kind of content and not seen anything like it before
Your wedding photography is so unique to me beccuase you shoot with your aperture pretty closed. I'm always told by everyone to shoot as wide as possible because wedding photography should be dreamy, but I like how your stuff is still evocative with so much in focus
Hands down the best video you have done so far. The reactions you all had even with the rain. Keep doing you Jessica very inspiring video.
Talk about bouncing back, she handled it. The Bride a Groom were troopers I hope they stay together because if this day say anything they can get through alot .
Oh my the bride is stunningly gorgeous.☺️ amazing job Jessica those photos are beautiful.
‘This’ is the type of channel I have been looking for. Great stuff!
Nothing beats the excitement of the bride seeing her photographs. Well done Jessica. The light in that house at the end was incredible btw.
Watching you trying to open the door was giving me anxiety 😂 beautiful pictures
I'm happy that they are happy. I mean I know how important this photoshoot to them because it's for their wedding. I mean you really did a good job. I really appreciate your effort for them. I wish they happy wedding.
It's times like this you have to make do with what you've got.
Rain could make for a very romantic addition to a picture!
We got stuck in a storm at a wedding last summer. My rain gear was in my car 15 min walk away because of the hotel setup for parking. But as people say, the show must go on! Our bride really wanted to get shots and we would not let the rain ruin that dream, we got totally soaked and the bride and groom myself and my second photographer ran the streets to get to to the photo spot. We ended up getting some of my favourite photos of all time there, and it was so worth it for everyone involved.
Rain can be a nightmare, but it just gives that beautiful extra saturation to colours that can make such amazing wedding photos. Glad you took the rain in stride!
The way he smiles at her UGH SO CUTE
I can relate to this situation.....did a engagement session during a very rainy day...this is where your clients can see your resourcefulness and creativity in handling the situation. Everything worked out great.
Legit stress eating over here watching this all go down!!! 🤣🤣🤣 You handled it like a champ!!! Kudos!!!
The rain made such lush and pretty pictures, much more interesting light as well. Great job!
Really enjoyed this. Proves that its not all just sunshine and rainbows LITERALLY!! but still you did such a good job despite the rain and the shots were stunning
You dealed with the rain like a professional, you were calm and try to do your best for the models. Great Job. Proud. And your pics, no dought it would be amazing.
Amazing! You guys handled that situation with such poise! Didn't miss a beat getting great shots and putting your clients at ease in a situation that could have easily been overwhelming. Awesome job! It was nice to watch.
Jessica is the most funniest person I swear 😭 she has me dying
The place and the bride are absolutely GORGEOUS!! And of course your TEAM are amazingly professional even under huge rains . Thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
“Omg there’s wind!!! Thank you so much!” *points to the sky. adorable 😂😂
you guys did amazing regardless!!! so so stunned at how you all managed to keep calm. kudos to you on that! also i love the bride and groom's patience and positivity, so so warming to see
The bride is absolutely gorgeous. Get yourself a photographer who knows how to handle any situation and still make you look good .
Omg jessica you are amazing!! So much more than just showing up to take the photos, you helped out so much as well and handeled the situation like a pro. So amazing.
when you are a creative soul and really live for this types of job...wonderful for not giving up on the dream you want to live. That Freelance life
love seeing my city being highlighted in your videos! had no idea you were from here, makes me even more excited to watch ya! you're so talented girl ~
What a gorgeous bride and such gorgeous shots!
More wedding photoshoot please. 😍😍😍
This video gave me an anxiety attack. But, you worked great under pressure!
This wedding dress is EVERYTHING
Love this!!!! Please shoot more episode like this. I need to learn to compose myself when things go "wrong".
first stage: disbelief, second stage: denial, third: acceptance ;D Good job at keeping everything running and in good spirits too
I will like to watch more about how you do wedding photography, it's nice to see how you work.
the bride looks amazing and the groom is so nice to cover for the bride while himself was getting wet
Although Jessica got me cracking with her jokes, I can't help it but admire her hard work in this video. Rain or shine she treats it like it was nothing major. Kudos!
omg yay you ended up using the first part of the title i suggested on your live hahaha :) gorgeous pictures as always Jessica!!
You handled it so well, the couple were happy with the pictures, great job Jessica!
*tries but cannot open glass door*
Oh well!!!
*takes pictures through glass*
This is some great stuff Jessica, shows how challenging a photographers job is...handled professionally
The bride and groom are such good sports! And I just love the bride's dress and overall look, she's so pretty!
Rain can make for some great wedding photos, I've seen some excellent reportage shots of the bride and guests running for cover using umbrellas, coats etc and bagging these kind of photos go along way to telling the story of the day.
I had an engagement shoot once where I got off ONE single shot in sunlight, and the sky opened up and poured hard for the next two hours. Luckily, my motto is stay ready! so I had brought three umbrellas in my emergencies bag and because of the low light, we got amazing photos under some bridges and awnings and some cool shots with the rain in the foreground. I truly also lucked into a couple that was game for dancing in the rain at the end which was the best shot! The thing is not to panic or freak out. You just have to remember to stay in control, think outside of the box, and reassure the couple like they did and make lemonade out of lemons. Unless there was lightning, I've never stopped a shoot because of rain. Most couples will be able to laugh about it later!
Im from the UK and it's always raining it never stops me from preforming sometimes the rain works so well makes it look super romantic
I can relate, this is exactly what shoots are like, always coming up against the unexpected!! Love the way you work, always finding solutions 😃📸
OMG! Those photos are EPIC! So gorgeous! That rain though. But the venue is so perfect!
Taking those photos under the rain.. you’re a super hero💙💙💙
More of these please,Jess! Tag us along to your work 😍
I've wanted to see you work a wedding, thank you so much for sharing this! Such beautiful pictures, and a great video showing a little bit of your process.
That will be the unforgettable moment for you guys!!!!!!!
The pictures that you took through the window made me clutch my pearls lol. Wonderful job! :)
Even through the rain you maintained your composure 🙌🏻 RESPECT
Rain rain go away, Come again another day, 😊 but its so nice when its raining, ilove the rain drops..

You are amazing! What an experience! And still with the best photos! Way to push through! Thanks for sharing!
The bride is stunning and what a dress!! Love it!
Honestly you did so great at remaining calm and positive and that’s inspiring
omg I really love this video because teach us (the beginners) that no matter how much experience you have, sometimes you going to have a shoot like this, and this is good
I’m binge watching all of Jess vids cause now I’m photographing weddings and these are so useful and amazing!! Loved it
much respect for the team! and loving the bride's dress and the groom looks class!! left a like on this video
Wow. The bride is stunning!
Wow what a GORGEOUS couple!!
Props to the bride & groom for staying positive too! I would've totally started tearing up if I got poured on right before my wedding, in any other situation I would love that but not this one lol.
I LOVE her gown!
SHE IS SUPER GORGEOUS. AND TAKES REALLY BEAUTIFUL PICTURES.
❤ the video yep is what we got to deal with sometimes but it's so much fun to look back on the chaos and see that you actually pulled it off 😂
omds literally Jessica running is the funniest thing i've ever seen 😂😂😂😂
I love the video and all its content, its a reality of a wedding photographer from time to time... At times it felt like a comedy, just to add some music ;) Great job Jessica and team, wonderful shots!
“I bought this umbrella in montenegro” hahah i’m from bosnia, country next to montenegro 😁
Great video btw 😁
Aww this is super cute, I loved the teamwork involved in making sure the bride and her dress didnt get wet and dirty! 😁
i thought i saw john legend for a sec 0:52
Jessica: "It's hot and sunny when it was just raining a few minutes ago."
Me: Sounds like a typical fall/winter day in Hawaii.
I was acting as second shooter for a lady I met in my wedding photography class I still help her out once in awhile, anyway Sunday Morning Wedding outside beautiful venue, about 10am the skies darkened and here comes the rain, thunder and hail.
We grabbed a plastic table cloth to cover the bride and groom.
Like how you are able to go with the flow and handle it 👍 good thing the 5Dmk IV is weather sealed.
