Finally, Jagero is bringing the right conversations in the Kenyan space. I left religion 10 years ago, and it has been the most liberating thing I have ever done
Thanks for sharing your story! It's great to hear that leaving religion has been such a positive experience for you. I'm glad this channel can be a space for open and honest conversations.
Super super informative. Mildred should come back again and again. We are lost as a nation because we ignored our traditions and copied the west. The question of identity and belonging is in the answer Mildred has given us. To reconnect with our ancestors.
Thanks! Mildred is resourceful. While reconnecting with traditions is important, I also think there's value in learning from others. Maybe it's about finding a balance? What do you think?
Our people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of who we as a culture. Thank You for sharing your knowledge with us! We need your Wisdom for our healing.❤❤❤❤.
I first saw Mildred on a BBC documentary about 3 years ago and was happy to see a Kenyan in the African spirituality. At the time i only knew of South Africans who are deep in the African spirituality...even West Africans. Im so glad to find her again here 3 years later
She's pretty incredible, right? And thanks for mentioning the Kenyan representation in African spirituality. It's definitely something we need to see more of. Who knew three years later you'd find her again on this little corner of TH-cam!
She is very smart and beautiful woman. I was in Kenya 2008. Oh good God. Why did I not meet this spirit. But I remember I meet someone who showed me direction. When I was there, hence I am always shocked how some of South African threat African brothers and sisters. But indeed she is a blessing for Africa and spirituality.
Iam a white women and I have been reading on African Spirituality. And I feel something in my soul like I belong . Especially with the Orisha’s amazing
It's wonderful to hear about your connection to African spirituality and the Orishas. Many people find deep resonance in these traditions. We encourage you to continue exploring and learning about the rich tapestry of African cultures and spiritualities. Your journey is unique, and we value your perspective.
I'm torn between it right now. They do things for you but then come after you when people ask them and do bad things to your life. Cause osogbos. Or if priests don't do offerings. My husband is being kept from me even after Obatala told me who he is in a dream.
You are right Sister about cleansing the warriors before they enter the community again. In Jamaica our Warrior Spiritualist Queen Nanny took the warriors to a waterfall and bathe and performed Spiritual things to them before they headed to war against the british. When they returned she bathe and prayed over them again before they entered the community
Thank you my sister you explain very well as I listened to you, I fully Evangelist Preacher at Apostolic church where I Preach so we need to tell the people the truth about religion, cultural including ancestors and higher divine God,once more thank you, amen

Translation of African concepts into English the is a lot lost. We never worshipped our ancestors. It’s because the coloniser saw our ancestors kneeling in veneration and they misinterpreted it as worship.
Many nuances of African cultures and beliefs are lost in translation. The misunderstanding of ancestral reverence as worship is a classic example of how colonial perspectives shaped our understanding of African societies.
She talked of sudden wealth, offering to ancestors and how to distinguish from the jinn offering. They are societies that promised wealth to individuals and, in return, for sacrifices, which usually comes to human sacrifices, particularly family members. These individuals are wealthy doing nothing outstanding. Eventually, family members die, and best friends alike or equally initiated. Eventually, if the family get protection from spiritual healer, not from Christianity or Islam, then they eventually can't give offerings anymore, and they meet their demise.
@TheJagero In my teenage years, we rumors of particular people where I lived with family members fleeing their presence or meeting uncertain doom. However, as an adult, I sometimes doubt that as well. It is difficult to verify the truth of it.
You say to treat the scapegoaters with love but for how long can so.eone do this? Every avenue you seek with them ends in failure, even if you chew food and put in their mouth, they won't know how yo swallow. So, what do you do then?
Those who latch on to you and snatch your energies are known as spiritual vampires. You feel drained after you have spoken to them on the phone and when they have spent time with you.
I love listening to this woman! I could listen to her for hours!! Please bring her back every chance you get!

Heard this common trope. I, however, don’t have a firsthand observation on experience.

It's tough to feel like your efforts aren't making a difference. Sometimes, we need to prioritize our own well-being while still offering support.

Zodiac has nothing to do with African traditions
Any reason to this?
So, it is a video about African spirituality but references are from the Bible and Latin? Tell me I am stupid.
