That was the year that my Granddaddy was born, and he passed when I was 17 years old, he was 77 years old. How I miss the most important person, in my life. I'll never forget those walks he would take my brother and me through the whole forest or woods as we call them. Peace and Love. Sandra
Someone added this song to the oldest Santa Claus silent film of the same year (1898) this is the TH-cam link: m.th-cam.com/video/34dntDW2UmQ/w-d-xo.html

I believe my great-uncle George was alive around this time. Obviously, me pushing 30, I never met him. He was a really good musician.
Nice vintage content video. I gave like 👍
Much appreciated!

Interesting how the song really hasn't changed all that much, overall, over the years
I know what you mean. I notice that a lot of times with old music. It's preserved from generation to generation.
The original 1857 chorus melody was actually completely different, but it's been the same for the last 125 years at least
Neat to hear the old music!
It's pixelated
Sarebbe interessante conoscere chi ha trasformato la canzone originale di Pierpont. Chi lo sa?
Very old hehe
Yes, but interesting, right?
