Super helpful video. Thanks for sharing. Bringing me back to middle school when my bff and I rode the city bus home and our stop was in front of a two story stationary store. Heaven!
I love the Zebra Mildliner neutrals. Like you, I thought, I had enough pens. The neutrals would be perfect in the HP notebook you're using for your swatches.
Ilysse, thanks so much for doing this pen testing! I’ve put several sets on my Amazon wishlist 😀 The Alohaster set is one that I’ve never seen, but really appeals to me!
Awesome video idea! I've swatched my markers and highlighters so many times and will make my own sheet too for reference now - thank you for the idea!!
The video I didn't know I needed! I am so glad that you swatched some pens that I didn't have. I will be trying some of your black pen recommendations. BTW, I've used the Uni Pin oil-based for translucent sticky notes and other "slick" surfaces--it is fantastic and super dark.
I use the crayola super tips as a highlight! if you use the side of the marker tip you can get a thick line almost the same width as a mildliner, maybe a mm or two thinner. theyre great when you want to color match really specifically! and they don't smear unless something is super inky like a flair or pilot g2
Loved this thorough pen swatch video! You’re right...those masters touch brush pens from Hobby Lobby deserved the trash bin.😂 I love colorful pens, so my faves were so the Sharpie S notes, the Zebra Mildliners & brush pens and the Crayolas of course. Great video Ilysse!!!
Mary Ellen plays with some real brush pens like those Master ones you got from Hobby Lobby. You would use them to watercolor. You could brush letter with them as well, but it definitely takes some practice.
Thank you so much for providing this information. I write primarily with the Zebra F301 BP 0.7 pen with blue ink (sometimes with black ink) so any information that you can provide about blue ink pens would be greatly appreciated. 😁 Janet
WOW, that's a lot of pens!!! You should get hazard pay!!! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I really enjoyed watching the video and it was great and informative!!!💯💯💯 Thanks for sharing!!!😎😎😎 Much Love from FL 💖💞🌴💖💞🌴💖💞🌴
@@planwithilyssethe Crayola pencils I have have the name of the color on the. I wondered if any of the pens or markers have the name of the color they are on them.
Great video. I have so many various sets of pens/markers but I never use them. I definitely need to test them to see which ones still work and change my storage to consolidate them. Like the bin you’re using. 💙💛🪴
Yes!! The Sarasa pens are THE BEST. My daughter bought me a package when she was living in Korea and I absolutely love them!!!!
The best!

That is awesome!
Yes, please do a “Blue” pen ink test. No one ever talks about writing with blue ink in their happy planner. Great video!
I probably won't do a blue test since I don't use blue.. but I know that many of the ones I shared in my black pen test also come in blue!

I'll take a look at them!
Thank you so much, that was a super helpful one. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Can I ask why you don’t use the Tombow Dual Tip markers?
No specific reason- Just haven't tried them!

You can return the markers to hobby lobby
Which had the color on the name?
I don’t think any of them had color names- can you be more specific?
