Concert Etude #20 in G# Minor brings out a lyrical melody in the high treble range within an arpeggiated chordal texture. The mood brightens in the middle section when the music modulates to the Key of D Major and playfully makes use of melodic octave leaps and virtuosic slurred scale passages.
