I’m not sure I agree with her “view”... and still living with her almost ex husband. But the relationship sounds codependent. Monica is a “strong black woman” and that has been our down fall. Shannon don't have no money so that's why she isn't asking for anything. Had he been a Kobe Bryant she would be singing a different tune. Monica has been carrying Shannon for years and I think his freetime got the best of him (I saw the DMs he was sending) and he ruined a good thing. When he left the league I think it caused him to feel less than. The male ego is fragile and I don't think he could handle being with a woman who really didn't need him financially. I'm happy for Monica and it has to be scary to have been married all those years with 40 around the corner and small children, but she has a great support system.
