@@mnadvantage5277 I've played it, and yeah there's some parts that are just straight up evil. Especially that last part where you have to attempt to reach the top of the flagpole, it's not particularly hard but it's still stressful.
I feel like SMM2 made Nintendo realise how hard 2D mario could get, cause some levels in wonder feel influenced by the kaizos by the community. Maybe in the next game we gonna have to be pulling off shell jumps :)
Only the final final test, and a couple of the bonus levels after you beat the game were at a SMM2 Expert difficulty and the final final might be super expert difficulty. (Close to Kaizo, but the invisible junk at the very end was very much like a troll from mario maker lol , at least they didn't put hidden kaizo-blocks there too lmao) What's weird to me is the difficulty for bosses besides the final boss were way too easy, like that Bowser fire statue thing where all you need to do is jump on the button one time to defeat it (in the airship level/s if I remember correctly) Even compared to the very first Mario Game a lot of the levels didn't feel hard, like the hammer bros setups in the original game or bunch of bullet bills and just the placement felt harder in some original Mario Games. Even 3D world felt harder at times, but I'm not good at 3D games lol To be fair, I did enjoy the rhythm element a lot in the final Bowser fight this game xD Yeah, next game is midair shell jump badge lol
@@phen-themoogle7651 Yeah, completely agree. The levels themselves towards the end felt like they got harder, but the boss fights never really seemed to match the difficulty of the levels around them. Maybe it's to do with the fact that the boss fights are compulsory, but most of the really hard levels are positioned so you don't have to do them, or they only count towards secrets beyond the main game. After all, mario is supposed to be suitable for children, and it would seem cruel to make them do some of those levels lmao.
Panga has so many nicknames for things. I get "weed flower" (duh), "Weenie Hut Jr." (Spongebob reference), figure "Todd" for Toad and Toadette are just plays on their actual names, "prego" for lava because of the sauce, same for "motor oil", etc. But why does he call Spikes "Spiked Vegeta" (I do know DBZ, just don't get the connection), or getting crushed as being "con trapped" (cron trapped?)?
Yeah, I suffered the first time attempting this, but then I came back later and it only took around 15 lives. After that I've gotten consistent and can beat it without dying at all, and I have to say it's really fun when you're good at it
@itsmeikethe wall jump one wasnt bad. only the timing for the first jump on the watermelon projectiles was annoying. but once u had that down it was free. the spring feet part is nightmare in solo. i played the entire game solo. that was the only part were i wished i was playing multiplayer.
7:36 I love it when he forgets how an enemy works because they use it literally once outside of the special world. so many cool enemies, yet they only use most of them once. at least those black eating ball things were only used once, as a plus, those things are probably the ugliest mario enemy ever to exist in the mario universe...
2:09 Tbh this reminds me of a question I wanted to ask, but I really am curious: is the Control Stick really *that* much more comfortable for a game like this than the D-Pad? Like, granted, I basically play handheld exclusively - the only game I play docked is Ring Fit lol - so I only ever use the Joycons (for better or worse). But every single 2D platformer I own for the Switch just feels way, waaay better to play with the D-Pad in general. Sonic Mania, Mario Maker, Wonder, etc etc; I don't use the stick for any of them, and I've never really had any of the "accidental ground-pound" or "up-button" problems that Panga does.
Well that was a fun series to watch - I bet in the next episode Panga will finish the last level, grab some more standies and give a review on the game.
I thought it was really fun, except for the invisibility and spring badges. Probably cause they didn't feel as close to "platforming skill" as the rest of the badges

That cut-off at the end......damn we're really getting a full video just for that one single level huh.
if you havent played it yet: believe me, it needs a full episode... its ruthless. especially the spring feet part sux hard.

the invisible part in the last level is where i tapped out
I just realised even the sound of "shrinking" when being hit is synced to the beat in the rhythm level...
