A day in the life of a pigeon shooting guide.

In this video , I spend the day with Chris from CJW Sporting on another days pigeon shooting this time over drilling , .
He runs through setting his decoys out , his magnet and generally what he goes through on a day to day bases while guiding for his clients .
There is a massive abundance of pigeons in the area at the moment .so they need to be controlled as the move about from field to field causing masses of damage to brassica crops in the area .
I start off shooting terrible missing easy pigeons coming into the decoy pattern after giving myself a good talking to I get down to the root of my problem why I'm missing , After the talk ,I soon start to build the numbers up over the 5 hour session .
I must say it was not my best days shooting as the final tally of birds comes in we work out my shot ratio to the birds in the bag , it was not as bad as I first thought it was going to be , there is definitely room for improvement .
Also making another appearance in this video is Chrises Lexi who shows us how she is just as important to the team as Chris is .

Great video and what an excellent tip on how to set up your dead birds by bringing the feet forward....Id like to know what supports Chris used to hold the birds head up? Looked like metal wire

@@washwildfowler not many at the moment, all of the stubble has been well and truly picked over, the little bit of osr is way too far along for them and they didn't show any interest in the winter drilling, that is me about done until the spring drilling starts. You still getting some on the veg?
