Dami's vocal was absolutely FLAWLESS at the semi.
Yesssss!!! Go Dami!!! If there's any justice in the world, she will win this competition. Beautiful song and the absolute most talented singer there.

I know I'm two years too late, but we've only been sending former talent show contestants/winners so far.
Guy Sebastian WON Australian Idol Season 1 in 2003, Dami Im (well, you mentioned it), Isaiah won the 8th season of The X Factor Australia in 2016, and Jessica Mauboy competed in the fourth season of Australian Idol in 2006 (I believe she came 2nd).
Chalk up another win for Dami. Next ESC win. Go Dami!

As a result of Eurovision need for graft dami was ripped off
2016 was the first time in years i watched a grand final in years and the only part of this years eurovision i watched. I went into like, "why's australia even here?" but after Dami im had been on stage, all the doubts i had were gone.
being from Denmark tho, i wasn't really impressed with this year's competitor from my country :3.
Eurovision has been broadcast on Australian TV and built a huge local following for the past 30 years.

that being said, i dont want it to become "the more the better" i mean i love that australia's here but wouldn't want something like the US to come into it .c.

So while "The Sound of Silence" is accurate today, it was originally called "Sounds of Silence." Weird, man.

+rageguy311 We specialized this year. Belinkie did most of the writing and video editing, and Wrather did all of the recording. Mark wrote a couple, and Stokes and Sheely got involved too (there are credits after most of the videos in case you're curious). It's been a great team effort and we're really proud of the stuff we've been putting up!

Nothing against Dami, when I first watched I liked it, then after listening a few more times the truth was revealed, it is just a pop song, the whole package with the handsome dancer and an elegant outfit looked ok, then Hollywood outfit with just a pop song, full screaming, self pity and where is a connection with an audience? Superficial.. Simon and garfunkel are still being played on various radio stations, I doubt it will happen with Dami song. People vote for glitter, Cinderella outfit and Australia is still very exotic in many countries. I like dami as a human being and wish her well, but her sound is cheap and repetitive. There were at least 10 songs better then hers. I am sorry. That's just my opinion.
