I think that the title of the episode was a spectacular choice. Fault has so many meanings: Definition 1: an unattractivel or unsatisfactory feature, especially in a piece of work or in a person's character. Ren's habit of pushing people away. Salem's manipulations. A reminder of. Ozpin's lies. Cinder's disobedience. Emerald's loyalty. Yang's self doubt. Harriet's anger. Qrow's self-hatred. Definition 2 a break or other defect in an electrical circuit or piece of machinery. This one is a bit obvious in the bikes and how they fell apart. But I think an interesting aspect is also in Cinder. In Salem's eyes, she isn't a person. Cinder is a part of the machine that is Salem's plans. This disobedience, this process of making her own decisions, putting her desires over Salem's, it's a break in that machine. Definition 3 a misguided or dangerous action or habit. Ren's habit of pushing people away. Definition 4 responsibility for an accident or misfortune Ren is blaming them for the deaths that are coming, but he doesn't realize that it's a lose-lose situation. No matter what they chose, people were gonna die. And their choices would've ended up with some blood on their hands. There was no good option. Like the Witcher said "Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling... makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary." Every decision they could have made in some way had evil in it. It was the situation. Also, Hazel is blaming Ozpin for his sister's death, but I'm sure it didn't happen like that. And Oscar gets the pain for it. And Qrow. Gosh, Qrow. That whole situation. Definition 5 GEOLOGY- an extended break in a body of rock, marked by the relative displacement and discontinuity of strata on either side of a particular surface. love this one, because it's such a literal thing. The ice, obviously, falls under this definition. But we can see other places where there is an extended break, but in people. Yang, Jaune, Ren, Qrow, Harriet, Marrow, Ruby, Weiss, Whitely, Blake, Cinder, Hazel, Ozpin, Oscar, Emerald. There are breaks. There are lines of breaks in all of them. And we're seeing those breaks being hit. Now to the verbs: Definition 1 criticize for inadequacy or mistakes Ren is the obvious one here. He criticizes all of them, including himself. Qrow, Harriet, Whitely, all of them do this. But Salem, I think, hit the most with the least amount of words and movement. She hits Oz for his lies, she hits Cinder for her attitude, and in a few words; she points out that her Hound is SO much better. Definition 2 Do wrong This is an old term, but still works. And you can see the obvious ones here. Definition 3 GEOLOGY-(of a rock formation) be broken by a fault or faults These kids are being broken by their faults. And it's killing them. So yeah, faults was the best name choice possible.
I like the dynamic between Cinder and Salem in that both of them are essentially using the other. Neither of them have ever really cared about anyone, they just view everyone else around them as tools to serve their own ends. In fact, Cinder honestly probably hates Salem more than anyone else in history. Eventually, Cinder's and Salem's respective interests are going to reach an impasse, and one of them is going to have to outmanoeuvre the other. I can't wait to find out which one of them comes out on top in the end. Also, SPOILERS below: Salem: _"My Hound is SO much better than you, Cinder!"_ The Hound: **dies on its second mission** Salem: **is obliterated in her next fight right after being robbed of the only Relic she possessed** Cinder: _"I believe you owe me an apology."_

And actually Cordovin attracted it because she was screaming her usual nationalistic BS about murdering a bunch of teenagers for wounding her pride through an intercom that reached the entire city, causing enough fear to attract the Leviathan Grimm. @@red7s156 Yes, Cordovin did that because she is a dumb character, reacting to the fact that RWBY took it upon themselves to steal an Atlas Airship instead of just giving the relic to Weiss and having her deliver to Ironwood personally, who in return probably would have contacted Cordovin to bring them to Atlas.
The semblances don't equate, Robyn can control hers, and it requires touch. Her presumption aside, even if her semblance works both ways, how would *she* prove Qrow didn't kill Clover?
