Stop trying to figure out the future and "Use your present day to study". Honestly the Best advice I have heard in reference to breaking into Tech.
Very Insightful advice. I've been in IT for going on 30 years and remember when virtualization came along. The same folks saying, "This will never be used in production" and didn't learn how to use it were left behind. If you want to know if a technology is going to be widely adopted in the future, follow the money. (You know, like everything else in life). If you think M$, Amazon, and Google are building these giant global data centers for fun... think again. Gwyneth is 100% correct. 👽✌️
Go, learn.
If you want to learn some new Gen AI stuff, checkout this free course a few of my colleagues made: aka.ms/genai-beginners
I’m learning! Currently studying for the LPI Linux Essentials cert, and going through the Learn To Cloud stuff 👌🏽
Thank you
Hey. please change your channel name to somthing easier to search. Cz your videos are very usefull for all of us.
ok so when you put it into words at 2:30 -- that solidified it for me. Love this career path.
I was already getting distracted by A.I concepts and what would be the future effect...But am convinced to stick back to keep learning and upskilling in my devops/cloud engineering path after listening to you in this short video. #Gracias !
I'm glad I stumbled upon your videos. You are an inspiration for me to continue learning!
Insightful. As an infra engineer myself I use generative Ai for all my scripts these days. Sql, Linux, powershell you name it and yes they can be so bad if you don't know what you are doing. Great advice
Great video as always Gwyneth I started learning cloud computing it is the future of IT a long with AI and ML and Dev Ops
1. Cybersecurity
2. Machine learning
3. Quantum computing
4. Cloud
5. AI
There are your high growth IT fields currently and in the future
Best 6.00 of content that I've watched in a long time. Well done and Thank you!
Great mindset, I’ve also made the commitment to add ai to my current skill set. These ai assistants and agents are here to stay and will only get better
Whether you’re currently help desk, cloud engineer, sys admin, etc.,
you can still use these tools to multiply your productivity & enhance learning. Definitely worth it to embrace the change, no use fighting it 🔥
Wow. Thank you. You just helped us reset our mindsets.
Like your intake on the cloud.
Shid still new to many…it ain’t going no where for the next 15 years. We still talking diacap 😢
Wow, new sub right there. Really relevant stuff! (is this a Montréal accent I'm hearing?)
thanks Gwyn, you are best.
Is it worth getting a degree in cloud computing even though cloud isnt entry level?would it be best just to get a different degree and get cloud certs later
thanks for keeping it post, Gwyneth
Thanks for the video GPS 🤘
I agree with you
LOL, if the CEO of Azure cant convince, I cant
LMFAO
love it.
CLOUD IS NOW THE BACKBONE of all IT.
So even as a Dev, you'll do best knowing even the basics to know the characteristics of the environment you're on.
FYI: Im a former Network Engineer. Once I took one cloud course, I was like WOW, this is super simple. Was an easy transfer of skills. So once I started getting into software space (which I suck in cuz I cant code) having cloud knowledge has gotten me the street -cred needed to make me value to ANY dev team, because I can build, maintain the environment.
Well said GPS! Cheers
HI Everyone , I'm moving toward being a Cloud Security Engineer and I was wondering if anyone uses Microsoft Sentinel in Azure or even Defender for 365 and how do you like them and do you see them being more important down the road as security especially cloud security will be ever more important ?
Hey cloud you please make a video about the current and future cloud job market? Thank you
hey cloud
Studying Az-900 at the moment 😂
Great start
Yes I've take the same path. In July I passed the AZ900 exam and now I learn for the AZ104. The basics from AZ900 help a lot.
Thanks for the video. Can you discuss about microsoft learn ?
What questions do you have?
@@MadeByGPS I like to know about cloud learnings provided by top company itself like microsoft. I am not finding clear explanation on this over youtube...so I hav requested . If you know some info on this, you can discuss that will benefit others & me.
@@VenkatesanVenkat-fd4hg Just go to learn.microsoft.com and start using it, it's free.
@@MadeByGPS Thanks for replies, I know this & unaware its limitation (also aws skill builder/qwik labs serve same purpose) and I like to know others like this & limitations, so only posted my request (as i hav seen your free resourse on gen ai git repo). Anyway, Thanks for your kind response.
I don't know anything about AWS or GCP resources. Microsoft learn is free and has plenty of modules with labs and sandboxes. @@VenkatesanVenkat-fd4hg
Hi! I am starting my Aws studies and want to move to Aws from non tech field, just want to know which laptop will be good for me? I am planning to buy a laptop can you please suggest me a laptop that is future proof and good for my career in cloud (I m planning mba don’t know which specification to go) help!
any laptop would work, make sure to have a good amount of ram (16 the least imo).
Great post!!
How about cloud security ma'am?? Is it still worth learning?
Security is even more important now with scammers and culprits getting more resourceful.
Good job GPS.
Q1) What area of work in cloud is the most difficult area to learn ?
Q2) can you recommend a course and best books to get into Cloud IAM area ? I'm looking online but too much advertisement/sponsered results .......
Q3) Are you single ?
Thanks in advance
lol start with learntocloud.guide if you want to learn cloud engineering.
They are all hard tbh.
I'm not single.
😂😂😂😂😂 thanks, will do...
Yep, GPT helps me deliver more, faster, but it can't replace me as the ecosystem i work in is too complex and too poorly understood/documented to put in a model.
🎯
Im in need of massive help for studying for azure 104 can anyone please help?
Anything in particular giving you issues?
Im taking that exam this coming Sunday.
Well I wouldn’t rush into anything. If you don’t feel confident enough right now a couple of days of cramming probably won’t help. I would suggest finding practice exams. Then studying the questions you get wrong. Also delay the test if you can.
John has several great videos on azure cloud. th-cam.com/video/VOod_VNgdJk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vE6vX4P63khFsjPG
The more i use AI for sth, the more I wanna get better at that thing so that I can use AI more effectively.
What kind of question is this. Hmm
Shout out to #Azure Networking Team!
Indeed. The work they’ve done it’s impressive.
Is it still worth? No
Source me : stop learning so I can get a job
hahahahahahahaha
First
Such a dumb and click bait title, if cloud computing wasn’t worth learning she wouldn’t be making the exact same videos on the subject over and over again 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you for watching many of my videos :)
