When they're gone you come to realize... now, more than ever... you need their comfort... but it's gone. Honestly, the hardest part of losing someone is getting over the fact they're really gone. I lost my father to suicide when I was 3. No one told me this until I was 14 when my sister-in-law hung herself in her house. I was destroyed at an already weird time in my life. My niece was 2 at the time. I was so angry with all of them for hiding it from me, and how they wanted to hide it from her too. They were going to tell her that her mother had a heart attack, just like they told me. My brother agreed with me, though wanted to wait until she was older enough to understand. It ended up being me to break it to her when she was 10. My brother and I sat down and told her the truth, and it honestly hurt me more than when I was 14 to crush this little girls heart. Even though this traumatic event brought my brother, niece and I closer than ever, I would never wish this on anyone. And now even on my darkest days, when I've considered it over and over and over again, I think of my niece, the one person I KNOW who knows EXACTLY how I feel. I stay strong for her and for everyone else who's lost a parent or friend or family member to suicide. Stay strong, because you are!

I had a friend that I had known for 4 years. Her parents were divorced and for a while she switched between their homes once a week. Her dad was abusive and her mom was an alcoholic, and her father sued the mom because of this. She had to live with her abusive father for two years until her mother gained custody of her again. At this point, her dad disowned her and she was devastated. She lived with her still alcoholic mother for a year, but a month ago her mom got into a car accident while drinking and driving, and went to jail after treatment. My friend then had to live with her dad, and a couple weeks ago, my friend went missing, left all the school lists, lost all connections through her phone and computer, and nobody knows where she is. Her dad said he sent her away, and two days ago she left a suicide note on her Instagram. I will never see her again.
If you at least watch the video you know that her brother died not her. Somebody close died not her. She lost her family member. So a good message in this video is to love your family

My cousin died on car accident about a 2 months ago. I played and did everything with him. He was only 18 years old and he has a sister too. The accident was against a truck and the truck driver didnt get any injurues. my cousin even had a girlfriend and he was going to her birthday party with a present what was a golden heart watch... but the angels were not with him that time. Sleep well 😪 my Bunny died 2 weeks after that. The bunny was 4 and half years old and she died in front of my eyes. My bunny's name was Nasu, and one evening. I came ti look her.i pet her and she didnt react much. Normally she charges away from me. I felt something is wrong. Her skin was cold and she was breathing slowly. I took her inside and... she did not even get scared when i picked her up. In the evening i said goodbyes for her... that moment made me cry. She was still alive. I went inside and cried. Next morning, i went to go see her... She was dead. My last words to her was goodbye nasu. Her legs were speard and she was laying on her cage on her tummy. Then we took him into the box, and burried her😪. This is the worst year of my life
I can't imagine what it must be like to be in your shoes. I hope no one else has to experience your pain but I just want you to know, you are a strong girl. That doesn't mean you will be all the time, some days will be better than others. If you need to think and cry, do it. Just remember to get back up. I lost my brother last year. He overdosed. The paramedics couldn’t revive him. We tried to get him to get help and throw away the drugs and alcohol, but we were too late. I couldn’t go and look at him in his casket, either. But I stayed until the funeral ended. It’s heartbreaking. If you have a sibling who is dealing with substance abuse, get them some help. If you don’t, they could die. Make sure your siblings know how much you love them, because you don’t know how long you have with them. And try to stay away from alcohol and drugs, the consequences can be severe. This incident scared me into not doing drugs, and to always do the right thing. Although it was tragic and I miss my brother a lot, it teaches a good lesson about the consequences of substance abuse.

My cousin committed suicide because of his girlfriend. He was very successful. My aunt and uncle decided to burn his body so they could collect his ash to remember him. We all said our goodbyes to him. It was traumatizing. But I know he is still there for everyone in my family.

I have no siblings but I consider my pets as my siblings and.. My dog (brother) passed away a few months ago. His name was Rags and I have been with him ever since I was born. He was a very protective and playful dog and it was really hard letting him go. I think the worst part was I didn't get to say goodbye. 😢💓

I had a friend that I had known for 4 years. Her parents were divorced and for a while she switched between their homes once a week. Her dad was abusive and her mom was an alcoholic, and her father sued the mom because of this. She had to live with her abusive father for two years until her mother gained custody of her again. At this point, her dad disowned her and she was devastated. She lived with her still alcoholic mother for a year, but a month ago her mom got into a car accident while drinking and driving, and went to jail after treatment. My friend then had to live with her dad, and a couple weeks ago, my friend went missing, left all the school lists, lost all connections through her phone and computer, and nobody knows where she is. Her dad said he sent her away, and two days ago she left a suicide note on her Instagram. I will never see her again.

My brother is an amazing brother
He is 3 years older than me, and to be honest...he has done much more work than my parents...
He always took care of me, protected me, took me out to places I wanted, got me gifts...and I stupidly just...freaking wasn't grateful...
I regret every moment I have insulted him, or wished him death...
The last few weeks he broke up with his love of his life...and started to have depression
I thought about starting to save 50k shekels (13K-ish$) to buy him his dream motorcycle...cuz he loves motorcycles...and he always wanted one.

My cousin died on car accident about a 2 months ago. I played and did everything with him. He was only 18 years old and he has a sister too. The accident was against a truck and the truck driver didnt get any injurues. my cousin even had a girlfriend and he was going to her birthday party with a present what was a golden heart watch... but the angels were not with him that time. Sleep well 😪 my Bunny died 2 weeks after that. The bunny was 4 and half years old and she died in front of my eyes. My bunny's name was Nasu, and one evening. I came ti look her.i pet her and she didnt react much. Normally she charges away from me. I felt something is wrong. Her skin was cold and she was breathing slowly. I took her inside and... she did not even get scared when i picked her up. In the evening i said goodbyes for her... that moment made me cry. She was still alive. I went inside and cried. Next morning, i went to go see her... She was dead. My last words to her was goodbye nasu. Her legs were speard and she was laying on her cage on her tummy. Then we took him into the box, and burried her😪. This is the worst year of my life

I lost my brother last year. He overdosed. The paramedics couldn’t revive him. We tried to get him to get help and throw away the drugs and alcohol, but we were too late. I couldn’t go and look at him in his casket, either. But I stayed until the funeral ended. It’s heartbreaking. If you have a sibling who is dealing with substance abuse, get them some help. If you don’t, they could die. Make sure your siblings know how much you love them, because you don’t know how long you have with them. And try to stay away from alcohol and drugs, the consequences can be severe. This incident scared me into not doing drugs, and to always do the right thing. Although it was tragic and I miss my brother a lot, it teaches a good lesson about the consequences of substance abuse.

My cousin committed suicide because of his girlfriend. He was very successful. My aunt and uncle decided to burn his body so they could collect his ash to remember him. We all said our goodbyes to him. It was traumatizing. But I know he is still there for everyone in my family.
