- After learning a ton about tarantulas from @tarantulacollective I finally have my lil baby - a caribena versicolor from fearnottarantu... (no affiliate). My experience with Fear Not Tarantulas has been beyond exceptional :) and if you're looking to get yourself a tarantula I highly suggest watching the Tarantula Collective vids - they taught me more than I will ever need to know.

I CANT!!!! Omgomgomg! I NEED ONE! Since I was a lil shyt I've loved all spiders! 😅 I had collected a few house spiders when I was maybe 7 & put them in an old cigar box. I cried for days when I had gone back later to check on them & they were gone.
. The ass wooping I got when my mom figured out why I was crying & what had happened could of also helped 😭
Yep, the Caribena Versicolor so beautiful. We have 2, and I'm hoping to have more, & I hold both of them. They're great beginner tarantulas.

I used to have a tarantula and I loved her!!! Her name was Erzabet. Who is fairly large though and I put her in one of those hamster balls so she could walk around in the apartment and we didn't lose her!
This kind of makes me want to get another one.

@calliew311 yeah! She didn't walk around as much as most animals would ... like a hamster of course lol but once she figured it out she would wander around a bit. It also allowed me to take her outside for fresh air. 🥰
With holding your T make sure you know a clinic near you that handles bites and an epipen you may have a reaction. Also for an enclosure get a DARK DEN arboreal so cool they are now selling in the USA through Tarantula Cribs. You should use a catch cup and do it over a surface you can catch them on so they dont run and hide.

OMG! I have 16 tarantulas! And a ton of jumping spiders, started with one who ended up being gravid and have like 26 of her babies left, they aren't really babies any more. Lol. I love tarantulas!

I agree with you though, I have 17 Tarantulas and they are like fish for me. I look but don't touch, so I'm not being an ass about my question. I'm just wondering.
@@calliew311 very simple to explain: unlike a dog or cat who loves to be bonded to someone, spiders are wild animals and won’t bond with you. In fact, they likely won’t even recognize you. They simply aren’t hardwired to be companions to humans and should never be bought at pet stores, online or anywhere else.
