This is NOT what I expected to see when I heard Miami had drafted an under-sized speed back. This dude runs with purpose, has excellent vision, follows blocks, breaks arm tackles, gets the extra yards, everything! Mike McDaniels is laughing like a Bond villain imagining plays for this guy. Hopefully our forever bad/injured offensive line doesn't ruin his early career!
I wasn't sure if Grier was going to pick a rb this early because last one in the 3rd round was Drake. I was hoping that he would either draft Gibbs or Achane, I'm telling you after watching Achane's highlights, he's going to be a gem because not only does he have blazing speed, his vision and patience as a runner is what's going to separate him in training camp, it's unreal how great his patience and vision is when running between the tackles!! Let's go, Phinsup!🔥🔥🔥💯🐬
Con is his size. Everything else is a plus. He runs hard despite his size, good vision, sets up his blocks, good short area quickness, great explosive cuts, home run threat, mismatch out of the backfield on linebackers, its all there. I will expect him to be a return man as well. This is what Miami thought they paid Chase Edmonds for.
This young man is the steal of the draft for the Miami Dolphins if he rushes for over 1,000 he's the Rookie of the Year finally the GM drafted a good player
The way Achane looks against college defenses reminds me of Barry Sanders vs NFL defenses. He's moving at a different speed. Hopefully it translates and at minimum, he's our Darren Sproles. 🐬
Achane is who people think Gibbs will be at the next level. Achane is better between the tackles even though he’s smaller, Gibbs has the receiving skills on him but that’s really it. Since they both need to be outliers because of their size, give me the guy with world class speed as one of his traits.
Watching these videos, I'm far more impressed with Achane than Gybbs. I'm shocked the way he bounces off tackles for a guy his size. It's like he's so fast and has such good balance, that nobody can get a clean hit on him, and when they do hit him he just bounces off it and continues straight up field.
I think Achane is closer to 195 and Gibbs is closer to 180... At least that's how the two look. Gibbs has really skinny legs where as Achane has some solid legs. That's probably why Achane can absorb his better and has better balance. I hope my Birds grab him in the second.
I see much more quickness, suddenness and acceleration than true elite football speed. Very few plays on this highlight of him running away from people. Love his toughness.
I think its because he's surprisingly patient for such a fast downhill runner. He's rarely actually running hard for acceleration unless he's trying to burn past the secondary. I remember watching him play quite a bit last season, didn't expect to like his film so much. Hits gaps like an arian foster 5:18 tho. He went all out on that one lmao that burst was scary
@@TheGanjologist Talented for sure, it just seems like his track speed isn’t pure football speed. I certainly see elite quickness and acceleration, but on some of those plays I expected to see him seriously outrun angles
@@aaronbreeds758 huh? accuracy and yac players go hand in hand. tua one of the best accurate throwers in nfl. sorry, but you are kind of dumb if you are arguing against that.
When Miami went undefeated and won the Super Bowl, Don Shula operated with a 3 rb backfield. Mercury Morris, Larry Czonka and Jim Kiick. The year prior when they went and lost they lost a first round pick due to tampering (to get Don Shula). In that same season the starting QB got injured and the backup came in and kept them rolling. Itll be Interesting to see if history repeats itself. Maybe not undefeated though.
Hes gonna have a long career. Hes everything a coach could want. Incredible athlete, smart, hard worker, tough, great character. If lands on the Chiefs or Eagles we could see something really really special.
I called that kickoff runback against Alabama. We were at that game, and after Bama scored, I told my wife they’re gonna run it back here. You could just feel the energy. There was an optimistic energy in the stadium that night, like they were gonna win. I didn’t know who Achane was back then.
1 of the best backs/athletes we've had in the past 10yrs @ A&M. Great stable runner and very smart. Definitely going to miss him blasting out of the back field on Saturdays.
Because he is small. I know being small isn't the best thing in the NFL but this guy is loaded. I hope he has a really good season with us and we are able to see him at his full potential.
Dam track guys making there way into football big time this guy is a bad dude i didnt keep up with him thanks utube is great as bad as it is in the world we still got young men who want to play ball or run track very good to see here in 2023 love this
Achane, Hill and Waddle is as fast of an offensive trio as you can get.
Don't forget mostert my boy not a trio. We have a quartet
And Chosen Anderson! 5 guys in the 4.3’s!
Berrios fast af too

Whoever is talking at the beginning of this video has a sexy voice. I wonder who it is 👀

Mostert and Achane at RB with Waddle and Hill at WR is as fast as an offensive quartet as you can get
Dude looks like Gayle Sayers 👀
Chosen Anderson & Barrios, are flyers to, six track guys! good luck trying to defend that, this offense gonna give DC fits.
Hopefully Salvon Ahmed gets used too because he's so twitchy too.
Speed Kills - Fins = Murderer's Row
ThatFranchiseGuy with the really nice words in the beginning to compliment this highlight reel.
He reminds me of Marshall Faulk with his build, speed, stop-start and smooth running. He also has that great vision Faulk had.
I agree
He's got that Jamal Charles vibe

Heck yea. My fave all time Madden player 😂
That’s That Franchise Guy with the analysis at the beginning, elite nfl analysis go check him out!!
My dolphins just drafted him, I can’t wait to see what he does for them. McDaniel will find a way to make that speed lethal.
Just ran for his first touchdown I. His first second NFL game
this aged well
We did great
Reek, Waddle, and now Achane 😂 welcome to Miami! Speed kills!!! ✌️
"There is a world where he really bursts onto the scene..." Happened today.
This dude has vision as quick as his legs. He's going to be trouble for opposing defenses. GREAT PICK MIAMI!!!!!

He's physical too.. very underrated
We got a fifth back on drake..
Not you’re work horse back but he’s a nice piece. Everyone is fast in the NFL. Conceding part is to watch his Yards per carry drop from year to year.
nobody even mentioning how good he keeps his balance too
@@Ballaholic17anyone else think Gibbs is better?
You gotta give credit to That Franchise Guy if you’re gonna use his voice and analysis

Agreed, I hope he’s back there returning kicks and punts. Absolutely electric.
3:40 is just insane.... that speed is unmatched.
Ridiculous the only way he got caught because his players in front of him was slowing them down
Who''s here after his historic game with the Miami Dolphins
Welcome to the Miami Dolphins. The fastest team in the NFL

Asking him to be Barry would be a WILD expectation… but I see the similarities! That’s the best comp in play style I’ve found.
You couldn't link TFG's video in the description?
I LOVE his lateral cuts.
Looks like he's taking his speed to the Miami track team.
Welcome to the Dolphins. Tyreek, Waddle, Achane! Fastest offense in the league. Lfg!

To be fair Gibbs ran a 4.36 to Achanes 4.32.
Achane probably has better long speed but Gibbs seems shiftier

Exactly
Dolphins drafted Achane to add even more speed. Dolphins already had the fastest team speed (Tyreek Hill, Waddle and Mostert), now they certainly do.

Pretty impressive, wasn't on my radar.
Bruh gave no credit to Marcus Whitman for using his analysis
That man got the burners maybe the best back in the draft if he had a little more size

That start and stop ability is elite. Barry Sanders like. I hope he has a fraction of Barry's talent, we will be on our way.
Hill, Waddle, Anderson, and Achane.. and Cam smith on the defense side w 4.4… we have so much speed now. 🐬 baby
