I kinda agree with Howie. I'm from US so I don't know what cultural roots this dance has but I absolutely love Bollywood. I just felt like for what's supposed to be a million dollar act they were really off point with each other, particularly in the first half. This isn't a local talent show, they needed to be in rhythm with each other's movements. It was still gorgeous and very well done, but I wouldn't have paid to see it.
I agree as an Indian.. Literally better dances (bollywood) are done than this in normal Indian schools.....

As an Indian, I would say, these cultural dances of any culture are not supposed to be go to a tournament as it's culture nothing's talent in dancing of your culture

In the first song, the girls were dancing as average with no speed and passion. The second song, the boys picked it up and then girls showed a bit more energy. I really hope that the girls put more energy in their dance routine.
That's what I saw too and I truly hate to say that as a woman and a lover of Indian culture. I wanted them to nail it but it seemed so lackluster the first half and only marginally better the second. Hopefully their next act is more rehearsed.
Even for me, the boys couldnt match with the song. If you have seen the music video of that song you will know what Im talking about.

Hmmmm..... i don't think that this performance was spectacular, it was just a good performance but not that great.
They missed alot of syncings, they were sloppy here and there throughout the routine from start to finish.

Average , certainly not phenomenal. Not in sync and the movements were ok and not crisp. More like a regular stage show in college etc. Definitely not for this level.

@@sapphire7593 I mean, the public opinion is definitely a factor here. I love and support Indian culture but this was sloppy. The first half's timing was so off. I've seen 7 y/o dance recitals that were better tuned. No lie. It was noticable to Howie also. I don't feel like Lily could say anything but note that she mentioned how "clean" the last half's execution was - she wouldn't have felt the need to mention that if the first half hadn't been painfully obvious to her as well.

Why in every Indian dance they have to wear Tilak and traditional dress usually worn during religious festivals, very pious to our culture. I find it insulting and disrespectful. Really cringe.
