My only real pointer for this mission is to not follow the witness's exact line of path. Try to create your own path around the chaos that the witness creates on the road. The only real trouble that you should encounter on this mission is that last long stretch leading up to the train. As always, practice the hell out of it. If you don't succeed, take a break, and come back to it later. That's what I used to do on the hard missions back when I was new at this game (like 10 years ago) lol.
@NostalgiaGamesProd Thanks for creating these walkthroughs. I just picked up the game in near mint condition today for two dollars, feeling really great about that deal. I always wanted it years ago when I was in 3rd grade, but never got to pick it up. Finally did today and looking forward to playing, even if it's supposed to be ungodly hard -.-
haha! I Bought this game used at a Game store called EB games when i was in Grade 4! i played it at a friends house in 2003 and LOVED it! when i moved and got a ps1 i bought it used for 17$ i also like driver 1 ...driver 3 was great to! but i liked 1 and 2 more! parallel lines was great as well iam getting 3 and parallel lines tomorrow! soon i will be getting driver 2
Did you get my PM that I sent a few days ago listing what exact settings I used for the plugin? Because I've never used the second video plugin that appears below the original (I think that's the default ePSXe video driver). For this, I used version 1.7.0 of ePSXe. Let me know if you got my PM, if not I'll resend it.
gahh look at the building..i remeber seeing my brother who is now 25 playing this game on that ol gray playstation 1...and i remeber talking about how real it looked
You have to configure the controls directly in ePSXe. When you load up the emulator (no game should be running), you go to Config > Game Pad > Port 1 > Pad 1. A screen should come up that resembles a PSX controller. Now, assign a keyboard button or gamepad button (which ever you use) to the Triangle button on the screen. That is how you get out of the car in Driver 2. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
@speaker3600 Me too. I got this game in the 3rd grade for Christmas, except here in Ireland, we say 3rd Class instead of Grade. Anyway, that's a cool coincidence and it brings back lots of memories for me too, this game.
It's there... It probably just went away for a bit when I let off of the accelator somewhere. ePSXe (the emulator I use) does that sometimes. It's there, just in the background. Also, the music might be overpowering the engine also.
I want to say that it might be something related to the graphics plugin. Which plugin do you currently use? For this, I used Pete's Open GL2 Driver 2.9. The only thing that I could suggest as of right now would be to download that exact plugin and try it out. If you'd like, I can give you a link to the plugin and my exact configuration that I had.
So I watched the first two videos of his Driver walkthrough and I do agree, the graphics are VERY crisp and clear. And I also saw that he used ePSXe according to his channel page (wish I knew what version though). In terms of the two versions having better graphics, I don't think version 1.6.0 would make a difference really. I think that's dependent on the video plugin that you're using. I would love to know what video plugin he's using because as I said, it looks REALLY nice!
I don't think this message sent the last time, so here it is again: It still doesn't work perfectly, but it is much better than it was. It does still freeze and skip a lot, and there are two options that I might need to change. As long ago as you made these videos, you probably use version 1.7, and I use 1.8. Also, there is a second video plugin that appears below the original. Maybe I need to format that. Let me know what you find. Thanks.
It plays the cutscenes fine, but during gameplay it either runs slowly or freezes up or both. It's worst when the most commands are being transmitted at once.
Sadly, even though Tanner's shadow on the street shows him holding guns in his hands, you cannot fire the guns in-game. I remember one time coming across a cheat site that gave you some random code saying that you could fire the guns in-game but of course the cheat did not work... So a short answer would be no, you cannot fire the guns in-game.
i had this game when i was 3, lol ! i still can't believe how i still remember xD probably because its the best game. ;) my friend is going to make me a copy :D cause mine i broked it :( so i can't play :'(
@MrGeo7k Because I used to play this when I was a kid and my imagination was still OTT and the big red arrow used to pop up and it just freaked me out haha.
The PS2 has better graphics than this game, although this game was released a little before or around the same time the PS2 was released. Plus, I think this game has awesome graphics for the Playstation.
I Know Soo many Thing With This game tricks And Shits !! You Can Open Disc Cover When It Loads In game In balck Screen That Says "Please Wait" Then Close It Back AgaiN! Then game Loads And There Will Be NO COPS In That City And You Will be In Another Place InCity !!! HOPE I HELPED SOMEONE
"He's making a move

Nah, I didn't mess with any of the sound settings in the game at all.
He's making a move.He is in Blue sedan across the street,PUNCH IT!
Did you get the personal message I sent you a few days ago.
Driver San Francisco is not Driver.
Driver 2 it's Driver at its finest.
Sweet deal, you'll definitely enjoy the challenges this game gives you, even if some of them are difficult at times :).
haha! @NostalgiaGamesProd i wanted this sooo badly in the fith or fourth grade. I always thought it was so badass back then. Ah. good memories.
did you turn off the Cutlass's engine because all I can here is the Delta 88's engine only.
l was just thinking that too.

You never get intense car chases, like this, in GTA where the AI messes up.
The AI in driver 2 just puts the foot down.
Oh and that was some nice driving by the way.
I remember when i was 5 and i was playing this game with my cousin!!!
It's there... It probably just went away for a bit when I let off of the accelator somewhere. ePSXe (the emulator I use) does that sometimes. It's there, just in the background. Also, the music might be overpowering the engine also.
I remember playing this when I was 7.
That big red arrow still scares me D: lol

I already use that exact plugin, but it would be nice if you could let me know what formating you use.
I need some help. I am trying to use epsxe for this same game, but it keeps freezing. I need some help figuring out the correct formating for it.

Wow the graphics cant be compared to those of 2010, but it was still fun to play
