The best nature experience I ever had. I'm from New York. I stayed in Boston for 4 or 5 years and I went two times to see the whale 🐋 🐳 🐋 watch. It is a miracle when you see them in real life

I actually was on Cape Ann Whale Watch back in fall 2001/2002 (I can't remember the exact year) when we were surprised to spot a Blue Whale. I remember that the Whale Watch guide was worried that it may have been starving due tot lack of food. But based on sightings in 2020 near Cape Cod, I like to think it's common for them to venture close, even if they pass unnoticed.

Wow. I've been on whale watches in MA a few times, and I've seen more than 100 Humpback & Minky whales while fishing. Never seen a Blue

So sad that Blue whales are a rare sight.
It’s sickening to know how many different species of animals are now extinct. The list of new species that get added to the endangered list or the extinction list gets longer and longer.

Random spotter- "WOW!! look at him underwater, he's glowing!"
Different Random Spotter- "yep, that's how they got their name."
This is the first time I've ever seen a Glows Underwater Whale. They're very reclusive, and despite their name (Which would lead one to believe they're easy to spot) they are actually VERY HARD to find.
But seriously, that bluey is beautiful!
Everyone on that boat is extremely lucky. There's not a lot of people in the world that get to see blue whales in person .
It's probably less than 0001% of the population that will ever get the opportunity.

In 2007 we were absolutely lucky to see a mother Humpback & her calf that had wandered into the Delta river. I took my daughter out of school to go watch them. They were beautiful and it was an experience of a lifetime for us. We were so close to the bank and watched them for about an hour. Living inland this was an unbelievable sight. I've lived right by the ocean and had never seen whales except maybe 1 or 2 spouts in all of the 6 years. It was amazing to us and seeing her calf made it even more special.
