I recently upgraded my monitor to 165hz, but even with 60hz it wasnt that bad.
It depends on what kind of lag you have, if you have low fps then you want to upgrade your hardware.
If the ingame snake moves weirdly(glitches) then its the Game server's fault most of the times.
