Gotta love auto translate, just puts in a random sentence every now and again 11.42 "the cap. They have cream on their hands. This is why most ladies don't drink beer (laughing)" Fortunately just looking at master Chen's body mechanics is interesting enough!

+Wilbafarce that's actually what he said, he was making a joke.

As onesugar said, that's actually what he said. Master Chen's point was that there has to be separation of yin and yang (fixed and moving). To open a beer cap the bottle has to be fixed and the cap moving (turned). The joke was that ladies usually use "oily" substance to moisturize their hands and cannot hold the bottle "fixed", thereby has the tendency not to drink beer.

It is only partially right, only move the body as a whole to tackle the change of situation is more important.

The few sentences displayed there are hardly a translation, and if so, then they are a bad translation. Master Chen spoke/explained so much in rapid fire Mandarin that it would take days to translate everything he said, and you have to also be effectively bilingual both in English and Mandarin to do the job. Otherwise, your English verison of what he said may cause students to learn all the wrong things - things which Master Chen did not say but you think he did.
There are also videos of training sessions and seminars by Master Chen where he spoke in English, and in the other direction, I am sure Chinese speaking learners would like someone to translate what he taught into Mandarin. LOL.

    這不是太極,這種練法會出問題的,内傷/氣虛是早晚會發生的。
You will get an inner injury and Qi deficiency through this kind of training. This is not Tai-Chi.

So in other words, it’s effective and it doesn’t suck like most other Tai-Chi

      你好!我是陈中华。请看背景,那是在茶歇时学生过来问问题,没顾上喝咖啡,也没来得及把杯子放下来。看上去不专业,抱歉!
