    This is one of the reasons why manned small patrol crafts (~15m to ~17m long) is still a good investment as they can be used as ready cheaper platforms for USV conversion later on

      So far the USV role is intended to patrol within Singapore's waters for a start. So any attempt to steal it would mean infringing on sovereign waters

    It had been some time with some updates. World-climate today, sea-lanes around the world have additional markings as news to the impressionable-naive-newbies and pirates. Declare lanes-routes purpose in-advance to avoid misunderstanding. Un-manned is aitonomous by implementation-failure engineers and may fire stupid. Such things are not battle proven. Tasked to air-sea (and walking-undead sensors). If written permission are granted, they can be positioned 100km north of singapore, east-west of west-malaysia. Fire-control restricted to outside of main-land singapore. Besides the hunter infantry fighting vehicle, armoured. These things are built by stupids.

      Paired with ground based UAV. The international-waters and jurisdiction are - fill in the blanks. Different rounds and shells and stuff, the usual.

      MLRS on ground, Anti-air rocket-missiles on ground. No projection. No forwards. Only umbrella coverage. Company plus on vessels are international-waters, without long-range, medium-range, short-range. Small arms and periscope quad-copters, also UAV but no-armed-drone. Keeping within defence-posture.

    • @engchoontan8483
      @engchoontan8483 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This Umbrella-cover will enable sumatra-east to be within information-sharing and allow Indonesian hunter-gatherer weapons to shadow Indonesian-navy to shadow the un-manned vessel which is a bait and a singing-canary. The 3 southern-islands will not be under the umbrella-cover due to 155mm Primus with extended-range and stupid trajectory of high-near, may fall short. There are margins needed to avoid accidents, not amounting to friendly-fire. Pyrotechnics smoke and light should replace illum shells.

      @@dannyfeller7034 For Singapore it is beneficial. The country has a lower manpower due to a reduction in birth rates. Hence the military in this regard is employing technology and unmanned/autonomous systems .
      It is said by 2030 onwards the pool of servicemen in the SAF would shrink by 1/3rd.
