Now *this* is rare. Discovered this song on a compilation years ago and have loved it ever since, but it's rare to find live performances by obscure synthwave bands that aren't lipsynced. Love it.
It's because they participated in the Belgian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983. And in the Eurovision and all the preselections, all songs must be sung live.
This is Kraftwerk esque but with female voices. An amazing song especially with the use of the synths, even if it is virtually an instrumental with only the title repeated. It wouldn't have scored as much as "Rendezvous" but great and different regardless. I love all three of their national final songs.
I actually prefer this to the "Rendez-vous" song. Kudos to Belgium for daring to go against the mainstream Eurovision - which at the time were still stuck in the 60's. Anyways, this song obviously was an ill-fit for the Eurovision as was the winner song.
