I don't know how many times I've watched Texas bucket list with your windmills. My two year old grandson watches it for hours, I have to change my phone constantly... lol. I can probably build one. Thanks for a job well done on your windmills.
New Aermotor Mill going up in Runnels County, Texas January 10, 2024. Prior mill was a Little Genius Wonder Model B which lasted a generation. A little noisy it was but will never forget the metal to metal pounding and echoing.
We have a 1938 Aeromotor that pumps all our water in West Central Wisconsin. It is kept alive by Bryce Black, a neighbor who lives 6 miles away who has made his living fixing these wonderful machines. We live on a farm founded in the 1850s.
I'm putting one up in Tasmania, Australia right now. It's a Southern Cross. Stalled for parts at the moment but should be going soon. It's about 60 to 70 years old. Fantastic old thing and I'm having a ball doing it.
I live in CO and saw a new electric wind generator in a man's yard and it wasn't turning, but his neighbor had an old rust windmill in his field and it was turning like crazy.
you go daddy!!! i love your video. im looking all over again... here in Ukraine i'm planing to build manufacturing company of windmills... its a good inspiration thank you very much God bless you!
I swear my Great Uncle left certain parts of his windmill without grease, just to hear that familiar screech and clang from half way across their farm.
Thanks Lyle, just got the tower for my antique 702 mill. I bought it off a homestead auction here in Oregon and was supposed to be complete. Seems there may be a couple pieces missing from the furling mechanism.
If the aid organizations were giving these windmills out to dryland developing nations, say Africa and also poor regions of Asia, i reckon in long term, it'd make a greater impact than almost anything else. It'd be the proverbial net that'd enable people to fish for themselves. Or farm and hold cattle, as it were.
Hi. We repair windpumps Aermotor(USA), FIASA (Arg) in the Llanos of the Orinoco river eastern Colombia. And we produce new windpumps. Aermotors are really fantastic, but also FIASA. Best windpumps now are ours(!!)
The apple does not fall far from the tree. Kees descends from the Dutch. Not a surprise they pump water with a windmill. Holland is drained by windmills.
Are these old wild west like aermotor windmills still produced and available? Do anyone knows what is the price? I want ONE, not vintage, NEW but with old US quality...
Yes, you can get one installed on your property in Texas right now. I had one installed by a company in San Angelo, Texas by the name of the Topper Company. The guy that owns the company is named Al. Google the Topper Company and give them a call.
Oooo yes...only if I have a property in Texas it would be like a million winner lotto ticket. I am an overseas guy...Can you give me info how much it you cost you to install a similar windmill to this one..just to have approximate great picture of the price of this kind of installation...and if it is within my budget to continue to dream it. However I admire and support everyone who uses the renewable sources of energy.
If it’s merely ornamental then they are easy to commission one from a local metal smith. Not sure about UK prices for a bespoke one but in Texas a 25 foot ornamental one would cost around $200. I used to live in Bury St Edmunds until I was 16 and I don’t think I ever saw an actual traditional steel American style windmill in the whole of the UK but I’m sure there are a few sitting around in some salvage shops. I live in rural Texas now and practically every farm has one, here you can pick them up for free from people who no longer have a use for them and just want them off their property.
I just paid 450 for a 50 foot NW Windmill Minneapolis Minn. Fan is mangled, tail fin angle irons bent severely, fin bent some, shot up some, swivel pipe nearly worn through, some smaller tower pieces bent...and I can't wait to bend it straight, do some welding on it and put it up along I94 just for looks. any word on how rare it is? The 50ft Aermotor I grew up with seemed beefier
@partyanimal231 Look for "Bosman molentje". They're a bit smaller than Aermotors. Alternatively, Bakker in IJlst still produces their "Record" windpump. Both are produced in the Netherlands, so a bit closer to home. Might save you some postage and packaging costs.
I live near New England ,no one has ever answered this question, does a wind mill make noise when it work? ie ketches the wind?(will my neighbors complain about the noise?
When I worked on a Wyoming ranch, the windmill there was very quiet. I don't remember a noise. We did have to oil it now and then. Beautiful creations!
can somebody please give me a company that makes them near europe or even from america or has someone an buildplan to make one i'm a farmer from belgium and want to fill a pond for irrigation of crops whit it i'm searching for a hole time but can't find anything usefull

Restored and running with the dog bone governor 😇🙏
I built one of these for the remake movie “Magnificent Seven” in Baton Rouge. You can see it by a pond in the town. Great design.
I REALLY wish Aermotor or Somebody would post a Video of how to assemble an Aermotor, piece by piece!
google how is it made they show how its done

We just bought a 702, and we also are trying to figure out how to reassemble. Hope to figure out what is missing
Can you tell me how hard it was??
because they do one thing, and they do it well. look at there website, they explain it a bit.

He is mistaken about being the only windmill manufacturer in the US. Dempster is still making windmills in Nebraska.
0:40 for the most amazing part of this whole video

Viva Mexiko!
I KNOW I HAD ONE REBUILT IT.
Do anybody know where could I buy a wind mill to pump water?
This company on the video will make you one .
I would like to set a same business in nova-scotia, Canada
How much does one cost?
I would say a few thousand dollars not counting the tower and crane to lift it
can somebody please give me a company that makes them near europe or even from america or has someone an buildplan to make one i'm a farmer from belgium and want to fill a pond for irrigation of crops whit it i'm searching for a hole time but can't find anything usefull

Connect a vehicle generator, and 4 separate power inverters to that, and you got free electric as long as the wind blows.
