I'm not one to whine about spoilers in general, but this came up in my suggested videos as it was posted and it really sucks the drama out of the semifinals. At least give us a day to catch up before changing the title. These matches literally just happened.
Yeah, same happened to me. I hadn't finished the semi final video yet and this popped up and well, here I am. I'll go back and watch just cause I want to watch Trap beat Maru but I didn't appreciate the spoiler.
also the fact that you can approximately guess how many games are remaining just by looking at the length of the video.... There are tons of other channels who take care to make sure all their videos are about the same length

Yeah, not gonna lie, this is a huge spoiler. I tried to watch the other VODs anyways, but after getting 2 mins into the first Zoun vs sOs, I was like "What's the point?" and just went straight to the finals.

Re Zoun: Really feel for this rising star. Trap is just an absolute monster, zero shame in losing to him 4-2 twice as a newer player, that's impressive as hell. Trap's the player who keeps the oracle alive at 1 health, whose deadly instinct knocks players out at the hint of blood in the water. And yet, Zoun is showing that he understands disruptors extremely well, look how he SHREKT Rogue with them. Zoun is reminding me of an early trap, who showed the lethal power of Oracles. Zoun just needs to zipper up his nerves and stamina for the finals, I mean these players already played Bo5's vs friggin sOs and Maru. To me, this is INCREDIBLE that their play is still so clean after such matches.

Not sure the fate for Nautilus but it turned out a good map for the final game in a PvP like this. The duel between the disrupter led army and the phoenix back up on the other was fun to watch.

Actually since everyone is spoiled, I still feel great for trap winning. For me he is a great guy. And if there is 3 guys deserving the win, it is maru, trap and zoun. I love starcraft, I love the music, it just fits so well.
Is there a benefit for using an observer in a fight? it cost like what 2 supply? that could be a extra stalker. Just doesnt make sense to me them using an observer with their army against PvP
1 supply. It's just a Probe. An Obs is actually pretty important for a couple of reasons: 1. Surprise Dark Templar - Unlike Zerg and Terran, Protoss doesn't often push with Static Defense, and defensive DTs are always a possibility. 2. High ground vision - Using a Warp Prism, Colossus, or Stargate units for vision is a good way to get them killed. You can't shoot what you can't hit, so pushing up a ramp is especially risky without vision. 3. Vision denial - Perhaps most important is the ability to counter the opponent's observer, especially if you need to retreat.
Oh man in that first game, why did zoun not cancel the gate ?? It was clear he would not get anything out in time before the pylon dies with 3 stalkers shooting at it. I think nerves got to him a little bit there.

Yea i feel bad about v titels too. Even that afreeca doesnt say smth about it makes me feel like they dont want ppl to Watch their shows anymore here on yt. Game 4: Trap got way too cocky blinking forward to take out that shield battery. Game 5: Zoun's army placement. Archons were perfectly behind the his own zealots just wreaking all Traps Zealots.

why would zoun gg in game two? he had four bases, plenty of workers going, 9 gates, could have easily let a base get sacrificed and warped in another army. Who knows how some of these games in tournaments would pan out if they didnt gg everytime they lose a fight. Granted, most instances you can tell if its over or not just from a single fight, but this could have easily kept going. Kinda dumb to just gg like that. I get that theyre pros and they know what you can and cannot do but still, its almost like an unwritten rule to gg if you lose your army.
